Bozie Jones Bar B Q

Abandoned like a step child Bozie said as my group of Pokemon Worlds friends left me looking at the smokers.Another patron suggested the ribs and beans and I was in no place to argue. The rib sauce is tangy with sharp but not hot spice. Think more cider than brown sugar. Bozie has super moist bbq ribs that are the best on the island.I can't wait to try the brisket.

I would have loved to try this place but the address on Yelp was wrong. Then I tried google but that address was wrong too. Wasted 45 minutes driving around for nothing. I ended up calling them for the address only to tell me they sold out. Please update your address on all platforms.

My family visited Honolulu for a week and we were craving ribs. We decided to search the internet and "Bozie Jones Bar B Q," popped up. I called to verify location and Ubered over. We were SO Thankful we did. We purchased a slab of ribs w/rice and baked beans... We couldn't wait to dig in, so we opted to eat at one of the tables, and the two of us ate an entire slab, well minus 2-3 bones. Omg, they were amazingly tendered and well-seasoned. We walked out on faith and I. So glad we did... Awesome Sauce!!

I don't know what is up with these bad reviews.. some people just have certain expectations and bad taste buds. I'm from Cali, have had my fair share of BBQ from all over... of the many times I've been here, it's been some of the best BBQ I've had on island. Meat is tender and well seasoned, sides were good, I was stuffed like a little pumpkin with leftovers for the next day. I'd love to know what these bad reviewers typically eat and/or how they cook. I don't want to assume but I bet they suck on a personal level. Try it, eat it warm and you be the judge.

Best BbQ in Hawaii. Don't even waste your money on the others. I look for Bozie EVERY year on our family trip. He's the sweetest, and the food is AMAZING.

Mr. Jones is a barbecue Savant, nice clean smoke with clean bbq favor, the wood essence really soaks into the meat. Overall great pit master with amazing customer-service. The rib tips make your eyes roll back to with the tenderness in the flavor always ask for extra sauce. That joint is liquid crack! Definitely going back as soon as possible. FYI... the location is at Pearl Ridge Sears, where all the food trucks are located on the downtown side.

Absolutely disgusting food that I would not recommend to anyone. flavor was weak and owner was rude and not friendly.

Drive past this bbq trailer numerous times on South King Street adjacent to the McCully McDonalds. Boxier Jones BBq sits on the Diamon Head end of the Union 76 gas station and is open Wednesdays through Sundays. Suggest calling Sean Jones before hand to check menu availability and timing of when the brisket and ribs are ready. Sean is really friendly but getting into an extended conversation with him might screw up your order. We ordered a half rack of ribs and a combo plate with rib tips and pulled pork. Both plates came with baked beans and canned corn. When we got home I noticed that our combo plate had pulled pork and chicken. Made a quick call to Sean and I drove down later in the afternoon before he closed to pick up the rib tips. Pulled pork was very tender with a hint of smoke. Ribs were firm (not fall off the bone) but in a good way. The rib tips were also firm but very tasty. All three meats use Sean's bbq sauce which leans towards the vinegary side. The vinegar helps to cut the fattiness of the meat and while its not Sweet Baby Rays it's Sean's recipe and I like it a lot. The chicken was very tasty and tender so we were able to sample everything on Sean's menu except for his brisket. The brisket came out around 4:00 pm and we couldn't make the timing work. That's why I suggest you calling Sean to see when his ribs and brisket are ready. Seems that the chicken and pulled pork were ready when we arrived around 12:30 pm. Authentic BBQ is hard to find in the Honolulu area so give Bowie's BBQ a try the next time you have a craving for some BBQ. Btw, no rice or other sides. Only baked beans and corn for now. I can live wit dat!

This is the best bar bq I've ever tasted. Cooked to perfection with an umami tangy sauce. Bozie is also the kindest and friendliest person I've met. Best food truck experience I've had here in Honolulu.You won't find a nicer place to sit and eat than at the boat harbor on the corner of llalo St and Ala Moana Boulevard.

Best ribs that I have ever had! Absolutely loved the half slab and the sides complement the entire dish well. Shoutout to Sean, he is one of the friendliest people that I have met as well. Be sure to check it out!
