Two locations in town. For this particular location, there's parking in their building? Though wasn't too sure, so we parked at Salt for less than $10. This blueberry matcha latte is everything! Housemade syrup with just the right amount of matcha. I need this beverage sold by the gallon-full. Their savory items are yummy as well. A few were already sold out by the time we got there at 11am, but we made do with what was available. The place looks dog-friendly, but quite busy, so if you're looking for quiet place to work, you may want to go upstairs or outside where there's more seating.

02/03/25-after a brisk 3.5 mile walk, my walking buddy suggested we have lunch here. It's my first visit. Background: Excerpt from Bluetreejuice.com:"Restaurateur Kevin Aoki and his brother, Music Producer/EDM Deejay Steve Aoki, created Bluetree Café, a calm oasis for guests to grab a healthy snack, fresh juices, coffee, and tea. The inspiration for the indoor/outdoor cafe was their grandfather, Yunosuke Aoki, who was the first in their family to open a coffee shop in Nihonbashi, Japan."My Experience:As you walk towards the cafe, the exterior of the cafe is unassuming and somewhat deceptive. Upon entering the cafe, you are transported into a cozy and welcoming haven for bicyclists, open spaces and nature. Inviting architecture and decor that makes you look upward towards the high ceiling and natural lighting and beauty. You feel welcomed here. Walking up to the counter to place your order, the personable staff answered any questions I had and he recommended the AVOCADO SMASH to me. (why the caps? You'll see why) The avocado smash is a classic avocado mash, arugula, sheep's milk feta, roasted tomatoes, soft herbs, balsamic dressing, toasted sourdough bread. I asked for the arugula to be left out (not a fan) and the staff asked if I wanted more tomatoes! A resounding yes, I exclaimed. My walking buddy ordered an iced horchata and the new Bluetree Club Sandwich (BCS). The BCS is made with Japanese white bread, turkey, garlic mayo, tomato, sprouts, lettuce, bacon, cheddar and Swiss cheese. We decided to find a table upstairs. The view upstairs comes with a gorgeous view of the outdoors. Large glass windows provided the excellent view. Natural sunlight enlightens your mood. The awesome staff walked upstairs to bring our meals to us! Iced water, utensils and condiments are also provided to you on the first floor of the cafe. The presentation of the Avocado Smash is simply beautiful. (See pictures). The most impressive part of this delectable delight is the winning flavor combination of avocado smash, sliced grilled grape tomatoes, feta, herbs, a thick and tasty balsamic vinegar on a toasted sourdough bread! It was the first avocado toast that wowed me in flavor, taste and texture! A resounding 5/5 stars. The BCS per my walking buddy was delicious. She devoured it! There were other patrons on their computers, so I believe the cafe has wifi. Please enjoy the pictures. I'll definitely be back for more Avocado Smash! Food: 5/5 starsService: 5/5 starsAmbiance:5/5 stars Bluetree Cafe-Kaka'ako is located at 600 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.

New favorite study spot! I'd love to keep this spot a secret, but it's too good not to share. I'm so glad this location reopened so there's another coffee shop studying option in the area. Located in The Collection, there is free parking in the building (for dine-in Bluetree/ Indochine customers). Service and Ambience: This cafe is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, cute bookcases and bikes. The staff were all very friendly. If you order food, they'll even take it up if you're seated upstairs. The main level has a large coworking table, 2-3 tables, and lots of countertop seating. The upstairs loft is my fav spot as it has ~6 tables and many countertop seats. They offer free Wi-Fi and have many built-in outlets on the floor and walls, which is a huge plus! Their restroom, located on the 1st floor was super clean. Their music playlist was also nicely curated and perfect for a working or a casual hangout environment. ,Price $-$$: Price for coffee/ drinks were comparable to other coffee shops in the area ~$5-8. Their food prices also seem reasonably priced, especially for their portions. Pastries were $2-$6, and breakfast offerings were ~$10-20. I didn't order food this visit, but my neighboring table did, and the portions were quite big. Food and Drinks: I ordered a Blue Tree classic latte and a blueberry cream cheese scone. I loved their Bluetree classic latte, with hints of espresso, nutmeg and butterfly pea tea. The blueberry cream cheese scone was a good snack to go along with my late. Overall, I'm thrilled to have found another cute cafe in town. It's the perfect little spot to grab a bite, coffee, and get some work done. I can't wait to come back to try all their other drinks and food.

Well, when I came back on the next visit after my initial review, they had closed. I was sad because it was easy to get to, unlike their other location. I needed coffee and I cruised by 9Bar and they were closed, and leaving the area, I saw that they were open again! The interior has changed a bit and it looks so warm and inviting. They also serve wine which I will have to try next time. Looking over their coffee menu, I saw the Dark Cloud latte which is made with black sesame seeds. One of my favorites was at that "other place," but now, I will only come here for the Dark Cloud. In fact, came here one more time before my flight.I text Janey to tell her about this place, which she never went to, and she came that day for lunch. She sat upstairs and just loved the relaxing vibe. They also have tables in front. Definitely worth coming to!Mahalo Bluetree! So glad you reopened!

Second location in Kakaako right next to 1938 Indochine. They have free parking between those two restaurants. The restaurant is nice for studying and hang out with friends. There is a first and second floor. Nice decor. We shared acai bowl, turkey pesto wrap, chai latte, and hojicha latte. Good amount of food for two of us. The acai bowl really good with almond butter on top. Drinks were really good. Sandwich was made fresh, hot and yummy. Love the salad on the side. It's a nice and quiet place to hang out.

Recommend trying this place out if you're coffee or matcha lover and looking for somewhere to get some work done! I came briefly to try out their drinks and ended up also getting food. I ordered the Purple Cloud Latte as I'm a big fan of Ube and the Bluetree Croissanwich. My order came out pretty quickly and I don't know if it's standard but they gave me a bag to put my food in. The drink was very ube-y which I loved and the food was delicious! There were so many option for drinks that I'll definitely be back to try more of the drinks. There is a parking garage nearby and here you can park for free and then get some work done. It is not shared with the restaurants in SALT across the street. I didn't stay to eat there but I saw several people in there getting some work done.

Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Seats upstairs, downstairs and outside. Limited food menu but good enough for a quick bite. Lots of medical students studying there and the space is small so you'll run into someone you know. Maybe not a place for private convo but casual convo is prolly ok. Pick up drinks at the counter but they will bring your food to your table. Unclear if you should bus your own plates after finishing but I just brought it back to the counter. Overall another good option for the area although I guess they've been there for a while? I've had the hangry morning which was good, small amount of avo, $16 and the breakfast burrito which was ok about $16. Pricy but what isn't lately. Next time I'll try an açaí bowl.

What a cute and cheerful coffee shop nestled in the heart of Kaka'ako on Keawe Street. The address says Ala Moana Boulevard because the building side sits on that street. From Ala Moana you will walk past 1938 Indochine, then Qing Mu, and the entrance to the parking lot before you get to Blue Tree Cafe.As soon as you enter the shop you will be greeted by a high vaulted ceiling and friendly counter persons. Seating is limited downstairs and outside with more seating upstairs. The Cafe has some nice coffee drinks by day and alcoholic beverages after 12noon. The food menu offerings also are appealing. Today amongst a few of us we tried the avocado toast as well as the mochi Belgium waffle. Get the waffle! A few are already plotting their next visit just for that waffle.Parking, shared with the two restaurants, is free before 1938 Indochine opens. After, the parking lot becomes Valet only. There is wifi and a generous scattering of outlets to plug into. What a nice addition to the neighborhood. Looking forward to returning!

A cute little coffee shop that I surely will revisit. I came here to do some work and wasn't disappointed! + Drink: Strawberry matcha latte was a 7/10. There was too much ice, and the matcha flavor was a bit grassy but strong and the strawberry was good. + Space: I absolutely adore the space. It's a cute coffee shop with a good amount of seatings. I came Wednesday morning and there was a good amount of people. There are plugs, decent wifi, comfortable seats. It was pretty quiet when I was there. + Parking: There's a parking lot next to the coffee shop. It's not on Ala Moana Blvd, but on Keawe St opposite Salt.

We stopped by in search for a good latte to kick off our day and found this cute cafe located in SALT. The cafe was located close to a Drybar, and it wasn't too difficult to find. In terms of parking, we parked a few blocks away to walk around, but there is a parking lot nearby, plus parking for the shopping area. We loved everything in our experience visiting Bluetree! First off, the price for all the drinks were reasonable. Nowadays, lattes can go upwards for $7 or even more, but for the quality of drinks and service, a $5.75 latte is a great deal. We tried three drinks: the blueberry matcha, the dark cloud latte, and the purple cloud latte. Blueberry matcha: They used real blueberries rather than just a syrup, so you get some blueberry chunks in there. I kind of liked it, sort of like a natural boba if you will. The matcha flavor comes through and pairs well with the blueberry.Dark cloud latte: This may have been my favorite over the three drinks. You can never go wrong with black sesame with espresso. It's an underrated pairing. The nuttiness of the black sesame balances the espresso, making the drink smooth and sweet. And when you add that sea salt vanilla cold foam, it makes the perfect drink!Purple cloud latte: It's honestly difficult for me to find an ube latte with the right amount of ube. This was one of the better ones. Not the best, but it's up there. The coffee flavors pulls through, but there is no bitterness when you taste the ube milk. Best part of the latte was the ube cloud! It was so light and refreshing. We didn't want to mix it into our drink just so we can keep sipping at it! The cafe has a second floor if there isn't enough space in the main level, but we didn't check it out since we were just stopping by. They have a bathroom for customers and a self serve water station while you wait for your drinks. They also serve wine later in the day, and I imagine that would be a fun visit as well. Overall, I loved Bluetree and can't wait to stop by again when I'm in the area!
