Braaaah...i love this pizza. I dunno why...I just do. Maybe cuz not super heavy, and the toppings are evenly dispersed and go pretty close to the edge. I'm pretty particular about the dispersion of toppings. Got a bunch for the office and this is the first time all the pizza was wiped out by the end of the day. I wish i knew the specials before the start of the day so I could plan ahead though.

Ordered the Joisey white pie (broccoli, garlic, ricotta). The pizza came out hot and the crust was a good thickness. Appreciated the big dollops of ricotta and garlic flavor. Pretty good, but didn't hit the spot like J. Dolan's spinach and garlic. The Caesar salad had a nice dressing and crisp fresh lettuce with cherry tomatoes.Chicken fritters were pretty much chicken tenders. The fries and bleu cheese dressing were yummy. I liked how the dining area was separated from the bar area. Overall, it felt well kept for and had a relaxing pub theme with TVs around. There were lots of families with young kids.

This place is a friendly spot to grab a drink (or a few!) and enjoy yummy food without breaking the bank. Bonus points that it's dog friendly too!!The staff are always friendly and helpful and they take good care of their customers. I love what they've done with this place, which used to be O'Toole's which was a fun spot to drink but it always smelled bad inside bc they allowed smoking and they didn't serve food. Black Shamrock had its glow up and she sparkles and smells great (if pizza were perfume). They keep it very clean and in true Irish bar fashion, there's tons of fun decor and tchotchkes all over the walls. You can sit at regular tables, high top tables or the bar. They serve AMAZING NYC style pizza with daily specials that feature classics and some inventive flavors (think brisket burnt ends). They also serve rotating pupu specials like chicken and duck wings, mozzarella sticks, salad, garlic bread etc. Everything we ate has been amazing. Their pizza is just like J Dolan's up the street but I prefer this spot bc the staff are friendly and give better service and it's bigger inside. Their pizza is just as good bc the former partner of JJ's (the old J Dolan's) runs the Black Shamrock now. And... they serve ranch instead of blue cheese with their chicken wings so automatic winner for me!!My office recently had their holiday party here and it was a great and affordable place to gather.

A good friend and fellow Canadian (I'm also American) and I met for drinks and a White Pizza to drown our sorrows after the election results. Love this place, it's clean air and Celtic vibe. Ashley, our server and bartender, was able to come up with a couple of drink suggestions so we could forget what was happening politically. The first was a Jameson's Scotch and Ginger Beer (too sweet) so I changed over to Jameson's Scotch and Soda (much better). While we chatted we watched a hockey game and more people started coming into the establishment. Love this spot. Love it, love it.

Craft pizza and a pint!An Irish Pub in Chinatown Honolulu with the charm and feel you'd expect walking in. Went in for lunch and happened to stumble in on the final day of Restaurant Week, so an extra special surprise on the meal deal...we ended up ordering two pies, pepperoni and the lump crab andouille sausage, buffalo fritters which came with fries, and chose from the wide selection of draft pints. They offer a full bar with local and imported beer, wine, whiskey, tequila, Mezcal, etc. If you want to catch a game, they have TVs in both the bar abd restaurant areas, and the owner/chef mentioned they had aired the fight that had been on this week. Their Instagram is kept up to date on the menu and hours and fun activities.

If you're looking for a low-key hangout spot with just the right amount of background chatter and a relaxed, dim-lit vibe, Black Shamrock Tavern nails it. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the kind of place you could kick back and relax after work. Drinks: Black Shamrock has some cool finds when it comes to beer. We went with the Harp (European Pale Lager, $8) and Smithwick's (Irish Red Ale, $8). Both were light, refreshing, and perfect for washing down some classic pub eats. The Grub: For pupus, we started with the jalapeño poppers ($9). They were generously stuffed with gooey cream cheese! My one minor gripe: they were missing a bit of that spicy kick. These were more like "bell-peppery poppers" than "jalapeño poppers," but hey, that might just be the newbie in me talking since this was my very first time having a jalapeno popper! The real winner of the night was the pork belly burnt ends pizza ($23), which, luckily for us, was on tonight's menu. Our server hyped it up, and the crust absolutely delivered--it was pillowy, with just the right bread-to-cheese ratio. However, the pork belly could've been a tad crispier, as most of the pieces leaned more "roasted" than "burnt," and a little more demi-glace would've gave it the extra flavor it needed. Still, we polished it off and enjoyed every bite!Overall: If you want a no-frills, cozy night out with great drinks, Black Shamrock Tavern should be on your list. Will I be back? Absolutely!

Black Shamrock Tavern is the perfect spot for a midday escape from the office, offering a great balance of casual charm and a welcoming vibe. If it weren't a weekday work lunch, I would have indulged in their selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines instead of just settling for a soda.To start, we ordered the Basket O' Fries. The fries were the ideal mix of crispy and golden on the outside, with a fluffy interior. They were perfectly seasoned and addictive, making it hard to stop at just one handful. The jalapeño poppers were crispy on the outside with a deliciously creamy filling that had just the right amount of heat. The poppers were the perfect balance between spicy and creamy. But the highlight of the meal had to be the pizza! The daily special featured a thin, crispy New Jersey-style crust topped with savory Italian sausage, onions, baby bella mushrooms, and fresh mozzarella. The drizzle of walnut basil pesto added a rich, nutty finish that complemented the toppings perfectly. We also tried the Joisey White Pie, which was equally delicious. The sweet corn, spinach, garlic, and ricotta came together in a wonderfully balanced medley of flavors. The sweetness of the corn played well off the creaminess of the ricotta and the bite of garlic.I'll definitely be coming back! With its inviting atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, and fantastic food, it's a great spot for both quick lunches and longer evenings spent over cocktails and beers.

My favorite pizza on the island hands down. Thin crispy chewy crust, fresh cheese, and the best crumbled sausage! It was just two of us and we almost finished both pies. I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu like the wings and fish and chips. The service was good and the place was pretty big. We parked in the lot next door and paid $6, no validation since it's a private lot. Definitely recommend eating here!

I love coming here! When I found out O'Tooles closed and it was under new ownership, I came to check it out with my Hawaii posse. Great place that has just evolved into a really cool place to meet up with friends! We were lucky because it was J.J's birthday! So meeting the owner was pretty cool! They have a great collection of whiskeys and beers and some really good food. I had never seen duck drumsticks on a menu before and they came with a delicious hoisin sauce. The chicken pizza with blue cheese was really good as was the meatball. But it was the wings that really blew me away! They were soooooooo effing tender and that crispy coating...cheee ho! Mahalo Black Shamrock! Always great stopping in!

Stopped here for a pau hana beer with my dad before meeting the rest of our family for his birthday dinner this evening. Plenty of bar top seating and attentive waitstaff running beers and food to a crowded bar.I've been to black shamrock many times with friends, and we love the cozy bar feel without the Irish pub grunge. We had the perfect pour of Guinness and fried mozzarella sticks to warm our bellies and were pleased to enjoy the after work crowd.Seems to have a local vibe, but incredibly welcoming to out of town guests when they've visited as well.
