Bishop Museum -Anthropology Lab

This museum is super cool! The architecture is lovely - and the exhibits are great. This is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking to soak up some "aloha history" about the islands, the monarchy, boats, animals, and more. The vibes here are especially nice and welcoming. The history is rich and deep - and presented wonderfully. This is also a great place to come to get some really cool pictures! Bonus: They even have a little planetarium with a few shows each day.Be sure to add this museum to your list when you visit Oahu!

What an amazing visit to and amazing museum. We have been to Honolulu many times but we were lucky to listen our cab driver tell us about the Bishop Museum. We had never heard of it. What a terrific visit. It all started with a bus ride, yes a bus ride to a residential area that did not for a minute look like the home of an amazing museum. It housed and amazing history of the Hawaiian people and how it became what it is today. The place has a Hall of Fame for Hawaiian athletes plus a planetarium. Admission is reasonable. The people there are wonderful and we had a terrific time. Don't waste you money with a cab ride. Take the # 2 bus and sit back and relax with the real people of Hawaii.

I have been coming to Hawaii for the last 23 years and this is my first time coming to the Museum. Wow! Where have I been and why have I not come to this museum before? I truly loved everything about it. The house, the history and artifacts it holds. Their special features (I saw The Healer Stones of Kapaemahu) were beautiful. Can't wait to come back on my next visit

This museum was so Informational many relics from Pearl Harbor.. takes abt a few hours to really read n look at everything.. this is a must stop !!
