It said no more bike
Street View
Most stations "say" they have bikes but often there are 1-2 that don't work.
I like to ride on the sidewalk by the water -- beware of pedestrians & flying pirrhannas!! O.o!
Monday, April 1 at 9:30 AM station 201, no Bilki bikes And this is not an April fools joke
It says Ride with Aloha, Obey Traffic Laws, Yield to Pedestrians, Helmet Reccomended =)
This is gonna be fun!! =)!
Stop and take photos of things that make You Smile =)

Passing Diamond Head... The sign in the back says E Komo Mai -- One Peace, One World... =)

Love that Hawai'i has ONE bike/scooter rental system unlike on the mainland where Uber, Lyft and other apps all have their presence in big cities. 7 mile bike ride cost about $10, since we paid by the 30 minute interval. There are also subscriptions that allow 300 minutes a year to use anytime.

I went to Biki Bikes for an interview. I actually went twice. Both of the times was with Jonathan A. I'm really not sure what this guy wants. He asked the same questions and I don't think he is very enthusiastic about his job. Like he just has that, "why would you want to work here?" vibe. This was for the Bike Mechanic. I love fixing things and getting my hands dirty. I thought it was interesting to learn about bikes and would be cool to have the "mechanic" title.Anyways, he showed me the area where the mechanics work on bikes. There was an old man working there (not friendly + seems out of it). He didn't even introduce himself and avoided me.What was amazing was there was a mountain of broken and vandalized bikes there. It was pretty shocking. After I left, I thought maybe, just maybe I got the job but got absolutely no response. No rejection email. Nothing. Just ghosted.I'm not sure what they are looking for.

Needs Technology improvements, the docking stations suck and they charge people when it's not their fault. They are literally robbing people of their money. We docked the bikes and the bikes locked but we supposedly didn't secure them properly which is a bunch of bull because they were locked and stuck. Now the bikes aren't in their possession which I think it's because the bikes themselves just suck and now we are charged for something out of our control. They are acting like it's still under my name when they are out there somewhere. Just horrible. Don't recommend and highly suggest Uber or Lyft instead.

I'm so sad this company has gone downhill. They can't seem to maintain bikes. Actually where are all the bikes? I included a picture, I've never seen the stations so low. On the map it shows most stations have 0-3 bikes. You can't rely on those stations cause you get there and they are broken :| When I plan to use biki there's a 50/50 chance it goes according to plan and after realizing it makes me more angry and frustrated than serving me I won't be Re-upping my membership after this round. I''m sad cause this is a great business for the community especially with bike lanes expanding but it honestly appears they are failing as a business/something's not right.

An update concerning the "Biki app":When I first discovered Biki, I utilized the original Biki branded app. Then one day, I couldn't access my account. I called the business office, and they explained the change. If you have--or want to open an account with Biki, the app you need is called "PBSC". (See photo.)Once you download the PBSC app, you tap on the tab (left-hand side) and select a bike share service (in this case Biki).I can imagine all the good business reasons why Biki (and a lot of other bike share programs) have subscribed to this service, rather than maintain their own IT system. My complaint is that the changeover wasn't communicated well.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The bike system does not work. You think your bike is locked and secure you even get the green light but nope! The next day you get a text saying your bike is till out and get charged 100 dollars. I called 4 times and the first girl said they will refund me once the bike is returned but I told them I left the island already and she told me called back and we will refund you. Called 3 more times and all the employees were very rude and just said sorry nothing I can do for you. THEN couple days later I get a random charge but 50 dollars!! I recommend you just don't use these bikes walk or uber this company really sucks!!

As a resident in the Waikiki area, I am writing to explain how they have lost me as a customer. I have been the occasional rider that enjoys the 300min plan for going to the beach or going out to eat. I have found this to be a nice healthier option to not have to drive around town. I walked to the Biki station to find that the policy had my minutes expire after a one year time frame and that you are no longer able to purchase Kama'āina subscriptions through the app. The credit for the minutes that I purchased should NEVER expire and now that I'm standing outside the bike station - I am no longer able to make an in-app purchase that is logged in, ready to use, with card on file. In addition, they have collected my personal information such as cell phone number, email, and my address. In all the subscriptions that have been purchased, Biki has never once sent out a heads up via paper in the mail, an email, call, or even a text that the minutes would be expiring. I ended up walking instead. The next day, I go online to GoBiki.org. I go to log into my Profile, however the password that I have written down in my notebook no longer works. How? I send the change password link to my email, log into my email, use the create new password link to reset my password to the same old password. (So humbug- when I know my password) I finally get logged into your platform to find that you took 2 hours 53 minutes and 46 seconds of credit from me. That's more than I actually used the bike! (2 hours 6 minutes and 14 seconds) The policy is extreme and you are cheating people out of money. Then, I go to purchase a new Free Spirt plan. Two problems with this: YOU RAISED YOUR PRICE FROM $25 to $55? That is more than double! Kama'āina and Visitor are the both the same price! Watch out for the HUGE price Increase and log-in to make sure you take off Auto-Renewal to avoid Big Charges!!!

TOTAL SCAM!!!Rented two bikes for 30 mins and returned the bikes to their stations. Got a phone call telling me one of the bikes was not returned and gonna charge me $100 if the bike was not returned in 24 hours. After a few days I got charged by $100 and of course I disputed this bs transaction. And about a week later (today), I got another $50 charge from this company again for no reason. No communication no text message no nothing! If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. First of all, I parked the bikes properly at the racks and there was NO instruction telling how the bikes should be properly returned by text message(I only left my phone number) whatsoever, and no like "successfully returned" text message either after I returned the bikes. The bike locking system is absolutely a design fault and this is just their way to scam their customers. I parked the same way I parked all other rental bike. No one knows if the bike was found in 24 hours or the bike was really not successfully returned. They just want you money and charge you right away. Not to mention after I submitted a dispute case and they charged me again. I feel like they gonna keep charging me until they can scam me. This is a completely fked up company and don't rent with them.

This is only usable if you plan to stay very close to the beach area of Waikiki. If you plan to go any further out you will end up paying extra. You only get 30 minutes for your trip. That is not enough to get anywhere and back other than the beach area.I love these type of bike rentals in other cities, but this is pretty much useless.
