The burger itself had a really good patty, juicy, cooked to a great medium rare. All the ingredients, produce are locally sourced from Hawaii, so you're supporting Hawaiian Local Farmers! The concept was great, start with a simple burger which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, but you can add extra toppings, which are local and make the burger more Hawaiian. We had the regular burger and the avocado burger. Both tasted really delicious!Indoor seating. Paid parking in a garage.

New-ish burger joint in Waikiki some real potential! When visiting a burger restaurant, I look for 2 things: good hamburger options (beef), and a good non-hamburger option (fish, chicken, deli sand, etc.). Here, they had both so they met the initial criteria for awesomeness! For my minced cattle entree, I selected the double. They offer patty options from single up to a quad behemoth. I approve of the options, but usually avoid burgers with too much height for a single big bite when held with one hand. Don't get me wrong, I'm an expert at smooshing a vertically gifted burger to the height of a pancake, but I usually save that party trick for a formal occasions. For my non-beef selection, I chose the catch of the day. Since I was ordering online, I did not know what fish was the day's catch, but it turned out to be ahi. I ordered my burger patties cooked medium-well as I usually do with ground beef and the patties were nicely cooked and still very tender and moist. The burger to bread ratio was great and the toppings (lettuce, tomato, and onions) were fresh and also perfectly proportioned. The fish was also perfectly prepared maintaining its moistness. One criticism on the catch of the day is that it's not very generous on the fish. A little larger portion of the aquatic meat would have gone a long way. I also got fries with my order, which were pretty good, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out if they were sweet potato or regular rustic spuds.Overall very satisfying meal and I will be back.

I was excited to find out that this location is part of an expansion from a local burger restaurant from Big Island, called "Ultimate Burgers". I originally ate several times at the location in Kona and was impressed by the flavor, portion size and number of toppings available. When I found out they opened in Waikiki, I knew I had to try it. The burgers are fresh and never frozen and are from Big Island. The meat had very good flavor and I could taste the difference compared to grass fed meat from the mainland or other places around the world. The interior is well lit, with trendy furniture to dine on. There is a variety of low top, booth, high top and patio seating. They have invested a good amount to make the ambiance inviting and pleasant. There is easy view to the kitchen to see your food being prepared which is a nice touch. Good A/C and sound system. I appreciated that they list on the wall all of the local farms that they source their ingredients from. Located on the exterior of the Styx Asia building, down a side street it is relatively easy to find. Their restroom is located inside the building and an access code will be given upon request.

Hot New Business in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii...We went to Big Island Burger for an early dinner to beat the crowd. There was a couple inside, enjoying their meal. The outside seating area on Seaside Avenue was empty. The interior was bright (next to the windows), clean, and modern.Located on the ground level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, the white and blue balloon arch made the entrance easy to spot. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. I used a plastic knife to cut the Burger in half to show the interior... i didn't see any cheese nor taste any. I went to the counter and showed the two females. They apologized, told me to throw it away, and said I'd get a corrected Burger. Well, I didn't want to waste food, especially since the patty was juicy and tender with a smokey flavor. I enjoyed the fresh veggies: lettuce, tomato, and onion, which were included with a Thousand Island-ish dressing. It was messy, but yummy. The buns were soft, but I tossed most of them so I could eat the second Burger... LOL!Thanks for an interesting experience! I appreciated the wet wipes, utensils, and napkins very much!Note: be careful when you sit at the counter. The bar stools slide along the slippery floor.

Keeping all local...Love to see biz like this where all things possible are locally sourced from the 100% grass fed Big Island Beef to the Manoa Lettuce from Nalo Farms and you can find them at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza on Seaside Ave first floor and not actually in the building just walk right around the corner from Kalakaua Ave.Walking in you'd be so pleasantly surprised how spacious and relaxing the vibe is in here with the cute feature wall of their giant burger to their chalkboard showcasing their menu items along with some information of the local farmers that provide some of their items.Ordering is easy "The Ring of Fire" as it's topped with Hawaiian spicy chili pepper sauce, cheese, bacon and jalapeños along with items that are included with all burgers (butter lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato and a house made sauce) on a brioche bun. It was a lovely hot mess and get ready with lots of napkins and wet wipes as you'll definitely need it. It's nice as you're also able to order it to how you want it done as it was medium rare for me and it was done just as it though will I say it's spicy...not at all...1 out of 10 on spice sadly and I was so disappointed. The staff is still learning in fact was cross training while we were there which is fine with the but I didn't get a pager and they didn't call my burger and hat to walk up to the counter and ask if the one that's sitting there is mine...not even sure what kind of cheese was on my burger but as good as it was I guess I expected more. I also got the "Fresh cut fries" and it was okay it wasn't really hot and crispy maybe cause it was sitting for a bit but a really nice place though no restrooms but the code was on the receipt that you probably need to go into the Shopping Plaza somewhere which isn't really convenient but...shrug!Thank you!

100% fresh Grass fed burgers from Big Island! Never frozen, the Newest burger joint in town. Just opened on Saturday 11/16/24.Located in the same building as Stix Asia. When you park, go downstairs through the elevator and take a walk to the left outside. 1 hour free validation at Waikiki Shopping Plaza when you pay, ask the cashier. There is also a 10% Kamaʻāina discount for locals! Restrooms are located inside on the 2nd floor, you have to ask for the code. Nice, spacious, modern, and trendy spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service was nice and friendly. Cheeseburger (with Tillamook Cheddar) $12.99Fresh ground 100% grass-fed Big Island beef patty seasoned with housemade rub, choice of melted cheese, organic local butter lettuce, crunchy sliced Claussen pickles, thinly sliced onions, local tomato, and housemade sauce served on a baked and toasted La Tour brioche bun. Solid burger! Could taste the freshness and care of each ingredient grown on the islands. I do think the burger could use some more flavor as without the aioli seemed a bit bland to me. Fries ($5.99) are cut from "Big Daddy" Idaho potatoes in-house daily. They're seasoned with fresh organic thyme, parsley, and kosher salt and served with our homemade creamy aioli sauce. They are much thinner than expected (limp). I do prefer the crispier fries, so I probably wouldn't order again. The owner, Jeff, is a co-founder of the awarded "Best Burgers" at Ultimate Burgers on Big Island. I've been there and their burgers were yummy! Glad to see he ventured out to Oahu. Wishing him success! I'm sure many locals and tourists will appreciate a good burger joint that focuses on healthy local organic ingredients.

I love how big the burgers are and how good it looks, tastes, and smells including either the fries, they're really crunchy too. Service is very cool and they go from double to triple patties for burger orders. I'd rate this 5 burgers out of 5!
