Betty's Burgers Joint

it is one of the best burgers on island, and a must have. I love the Betty's Spicy and Betty's Deluxe burgers with an Oreo shake. LOVE! The service is always a really kind person, usually a student of UH in my experience, and atmosphere is super cool.

So...the expectations coming into this, I knew how many earlier reviews on Betty's where they weren't that great.Honestly, the experience wasn't bad.I always pass this place every single time I went to a UH game, but I guess today was a good time to maybe do a review on it.Appearance-wise, it looked nice despite the limited seating inside and outside.They did a good job making sure to listen to my order and definitely delivered in all facets.I ended up ordering their Shroom N Guac burger with some small fries and their milkshake of the month, which was the Dark Chocolate and Strawberry shake. On the surface, this looked like the something I'd get if I wanted the perfect combo meal.Individually, all three of their items were good. Where do I start...?Burger - Delicious, they gave a good amount of guacamole. They also had a decent amount of mushrooms as well. The BB sauce was really tasty and they used just the right amount of it. Too much, and it would have made it a bit messy. Individually, the components work. The only thing I might have had a gripe with was the patty itself. A hair underseasoned, yes, as perhaps a bit of finishing salt would have gone a very long way because this probably would have been one of my favorite burgers for sure, and not just in terms of price since their burgers mostly are within the $10 or less range.Fries - Probably my favorite out of the many places I've had French Fries anywhere else. Well-seasoned, crispy, and they give a good amount of it for a small.Milkshake - The chocolate flavor comes out front and then there's the strawberry aftertaste the very next. Super tasty and it's not thick in terms of consistency.Overall, for a first-time experience, it was not bad. Prices were very reasonable and they give a good amount of food for what you get. Would I ever come back there again? I think I would...it just depends if I'm willing to try a different burger, or perhaps stick with the Shroom N Guac burger.

I recently went to Betty's Burgers for the first time while waiting for my car to be serviced at Jiffy Lube. I was excited to find it was nearby cause I've always wanted to try it, unfortunately, although the burger was good, I could not finish my meal because the staff refused to turn down the blaring Music that you could clearly hear clear across University Avenue and across to the other side! I asked them to turn it down three times and I still could not hear my phone ring or let alone talk on the phone to anyone, when I first got there there were two other gentlemen, but they left shortly after I received my food so I was the only one there and yet they refuse to turn down the Music to a decent decibel, amazingly rude! when I confronted them about this issue they said they were instructed to keep it loud, which, if it's true would be very disheartening and bad business practice! I've been in the business for over 30 years had four Italian restaurants in the Seattle Everett area, any time any one of my customers requested the volume down or the air conditioning or heat adjusted, I was more than willing to accommodate them because why? Cause the customer wants an overall satisfying experience, not just eating good food, but feeling comfortable, feeling safe, feeling that they can communicate with a guest that they may have been dining with.It is just unbelievable, inconceivable, unacceptable and insulting that they would care more about their staff having loud music to listen to rather than accommodate the customer?? It seemed obvious to me their priorities are skewed!I attempted to call the owner five separate occasions throughout the day and evening to complain. No one ever answered the phone and you want to know why ? they probably couldn't hear it ring and if I had been a customer calling for a takeout order. They would've lost all that business, I'm flabbergasted !! Avoid Betty's burgers at Puck's Alley if you wanna save your hearing and sanity ! Aloha

The food and the milkshake here is the best. Love it. However sometimes the service is bad. Depending who's working that day. What pisses me off is some times the worker on duty don't answer the phone. Doesn't answer at all. Reaching out to check if they can improve on this part.

Right next to RB's and Puck's Alley. There's a small paid parking lot on the left side of the restaurant but we found street parking. No AC inside so it can get a little hot if there's a lot of people. Service is fast. I got the Bacon Deluxe with cheese and a side of fries. Solid burger and large in size. Tasted fresh. Patty was a bit bland but there was some BB sauce on it. Definitely needed more sauce so wish I added more. Fries were crispy and thick. A little bit too thick for me but it paired well with the burger. Husband got the Shroom and Guac burger. He thought it was okay. Guac flavor overpowered the burger flavor, so great for those that love guac! Loved the onion rings! They were so crispy all around and coated well. Loved dipping it in ketchup but good by itself as well. Both burgers were cooked medium well. We also got the Oreo Shake. It was okay. Didn't really taste like a milkshake because it wasn't creamy; tasted like iced milk but the Oreo flavor was great! Maybe next time I'll try some of the tropical flavors like the lilikoi or mango! Such reasonable pricing on all of their burgers and they are huge! They have a kids menu too.

They serve smashburger style burgers that are flavorful and a great quick bite! We ordered the Teriyaki's Burger and the Double deluxe with cheese - both super tasty! I really liked the teriyaki burger for the sauce aspect and it was a great balance. The fries were SO good! Perfectly crispy upon the outside and mashed potato-y on the inside. And to top it off, we got the Passionfruit milkshake - a good balance of sweet, creamy, sour, and a hint of saltiness.Great burger joint! Can't wait to go back!

Closer to open the burger joint is relatively quiet and speedy with their orders. While no combo seemed to be available, everything totaling out would just about equal that of another joints combo. Was able to add a secondary flavor to the shake for a small surcharge, which was nice as Oreo and peanut butter were delicious together. The burger was good, large, tasting more on the peppery side, but I was able to save for later. Lots of fries come with a larger, they felt fresh and thick, paired nicely dipped in tartar sauce.Cute spot with indoor and outdoor booth seating options.

We got there right before it closed and they were still happy to make us some burgers! They were excellent! It's a cute little food court basically down an ally so it's definitely different in a good way! Burgers were great! We would eat there again!

Have seen this place on many trips that we've been to wahoo in the past. Finally happened to be in the area and thought we'd give it a try it looked like a cool funky place. Betty has lots of burgers done lots of different ways so whatever your fancy is you're going to find something on the board I believe. As far as our meal goes, we felt like the burger was a good size but it just didn't have much taste to it. I tasted a piece of meat by itself and it didn't even taste seasoned at all. The same thing with the onion rings, they were fried golden, looked great, but they just didn't have any taste either.

Messed up my whole order. Asked specifically for no american cheese, still put it. & I can tell whoever made it realized it too late and tried to rip it off. I dont understand, if you caught the mistake, just remake it. Its that part that makes me upset: Ugh, & I was actually excited to eat here cuz I heard good things.
