Best Drive-In

I ordered their bibimkooksu spicy, a veggie tempura and meat jun and bbq beef combo and it was so ono. I usually get their beef vegetable Kim chee soup and it is also good too. I've referred my friends and family and we all love their food. The owners of Best Drive Inn are also nice people too.

Bibimbap awesome and huge or fat spring rolls and Ono bbq burger dlx and French fries skinny crispy.

Was given a bento from Best Drive-In, so can only comment on the food. Came with a good serving of rice, which was enough for the 4 pieces of BBQ chicken, 4 pieces of chicken katsu, and 4 pieces of meat jun. Also had a kamaboko, 2 takuwan, and 3 edamame pods.The BBQ chicken was ok, nothing special. I liked the katsu, even though it wasn't crunchy by the time I ate it. It was missing sauce which was a bummer, but it still tasted good and was easy to bite into. The meat jun was my favorite. A little in the thin side, but made it easy to fold over and eat in one bite. Loved that it had a slightly sweet taste...wish there was more.

My third visit. I had a mini bbq chicken plate with two sides. Daniel is a gracious host, always positive and friendly. Very generous with the portions, and tasty too. Casual dining or take out. On my previous visit I had the kal bi, also very good.

When I'm in the area, this is my choice for delicious Korean takeout, generous portions, and really nice variety of choices. Don't arrive late tho as this place is really popular and sells out of choices throughout the popular mealtimes.Daniel & wife and assistant Lisa are so kind. Always a pleasure to see them. There are a few casual tables inside if you would like to dine in. Otherwise, take it to go and down to Sand Island Park at the end of the road for more leisurely lounging oceanside.

As expected ambiance with the super friendly owner Daniel behind the counter; so patient with me asking questions about the different types of food! The food? Out of this world DELICIOUS!!

To me this is actually the Worst Drive-In. To start it off the portions are really small, for example a regular BBQ Chicken here gets you 3 pieces only not 4 like everywhere else. They are also very light on the side dishes too. Sometimes they don't put in fresh kimchee so it becomes very sour since it becomes old, but it's good when it's not. It's also very expensive where it is 18 Dollars for a Regular BBQ Chicken with 3 pieces! They also have the thinnest meat jun and bbq chicken I have ever seen in my life. In fact all the meats here are thin and dry. Idk how you can mess up a bbq chicken but its dry, stringy, and not juicy at all. Meat jun is like cardboard.Disappointing. Korean owners and they are friendly enough, but this is an insult to korean food. I seriously wonder if they even taste their own food. The only reason they have business is cause there is no other Korean take-out place in the area.I try to go here once in a while hoping maybe it was an off day. But every day is an Off Day here I think. Worst Korean take-out place I have ever eaten.

Found this gem through a food delivery app and very much enjoyed it. We have since been in to order as well as to pick up a catering order. Their meat jun and Korean bbq short ribs are delicious. Generous portions. Their sides are good and they also have quite a variety. The folks are always nice and we recommend this as a local place to try when friends are in town.

This is where we stop before heading back to the airport. The bbq chicken is perfectly smoked and charred. The musubis are hot and amazing. My favorite are their sides...kimchi, cucumber kimchi and the mac salad. All that and the prices aren't inflated like the rest of Honolulu. It's a cute Korean couple that has run the place for 31 years. Definitely a staple and worth a stop.

I love Best Drive In! Daniel is the best and always takes my last minute catering orders with no hesitation-like literally the day of. Their spicy pork is amazing, and that's coming from someone that doesn't like spicy! They are my favorite option out of all of the food spots on sand island access road, quality and aloha!
