We stopped by Beer Lab HI at Puck's Alley before our dinner reservation at Cafe Maharani, and it was a delightful start to our evening! Located just a short walk away, this spot offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding.I enjoyed their Golden Stout, a smooth and flavorful brew that stood out among their diverse selection of craft beers. Beer Lab HI is known for its constant experimentation and innovation in brewing, and this stout was a testament to their craftsmanship. While savoring our drinks, my wife and I engaged in a friendly game of checkers, adding a nostalgic touch to our visit. The availability of board games and the cozy seating arrangements make it an ideal spot for both relaxation and fun.The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing our experience with their warm hospitality. Additionally, the location offers convenient parking in the Puck's Alley complex, with free parking for the first hour and validation provided for the second hour, making it easily accessible. Overall, Beer Lab HI at Puck's Alley is a fantastic place to enjoy quality craft beers in a relaxed setting. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a pleasant spot to spend time, I highly recommend giving it a visit.

Love Beer Lab...so thought yay, it's convenient (across the street from the old one) and more than just popcorn! Beer goooood. Food...work in progress.4 of us went in...starving and thirsty. Order from the app...okay. I like paper menus, but I know the trend is getting away from that. We walked over from about a mile so we wanted water and couldn't find that on the app. Waved a waitstaff and he barked out "order from the app!"... asked where the water was on the app and then he said he would get it. Not the nicest of servers...maybe he thought we would only get water? Ordered beers and proceeded to order our weight in food...- Chinese S&P Wings - very light seasoning. Just a hint of the Chinese spice. Good but could use a touch more.- Truffle Parm Wings - same thing. Just a touch more Truff/Parm.- Bamboo Tiger - Double breaded...so a little heavy on the batter. LIttle salty but pretty good.- Thaiger Power - Completely inedible. I like salty...this was way too salty for me. This was past chug beer salty...it was like you could feel your pulse. We did not touch that for the rest of the night.- Smoke Ahi Dip - good but HUUUUGE chunks of cream cheese. Not mixed well at all.- Crispy Pork Belly - fatty, but it is pork belly so not a biggie. Sauce good and very necessary. Pork cooked well but not seasoned. This came out first so our taste buds were still fresh.- Caesar Salad - we got only the bottom half of the romaine. All stems. No green. - Seasoned Fries - good fries, but couldn't really taste the seasoning.- Fried Rice - very garlicky...loved that. Choooooke peas so I had to fling those bad boys out.Easy to order beers since don't have to wait for a server to come back around...we had several rounds of beer before had to get back to the kids. Decent prices but execution of food not quite there. It's a little dark in there...which I guess is good for a college bar. Would have thought more than 1 bathroom stall per gender would be smart...I do have the worlds smallest bladder especially when drinking beer, and girls seem to take ridiculously long sometimes. Major shi shi dancing going on...

We visited Beer Lab while waiting to be called for a table at another restaurant down the street. Its convenient location just a short walk away was a huge plus.My spouse and I each tried a drink from the holiday menu--I had the Mango Pandan Hazy IPA, and he went with the Golden Stout. Both options were unique and creative, offering flavors we wouldn't normally choose but felt special because they were exclusive. While the Mango Pandan wasn't a flavor I'd typically go for, I appreciated the opportunity to try something different. It was the perfect way to pass the time. We even played a round of checkers while enjoying our drinks. (Guess who won? )The space was still decked out in holiday decorations, which we loved--it felt like we got to extend the festive season a little longer.Ordering was super simple with the QR code system, and the drinks arrived quickly. Overall, it was a great spot to relax, sip on some unique beers, and enjoy the moment.

Cheers to the holidays...Thank you Suri and Steve for the suggestion of this cool place who constantly has events and new sips that keeps up with our seasonal cravings and to just relax and chill is right here at Beer Lab in Pucks Alley and you'd could never imagine what you're in for from the outside as this quite dated building on the outside has been fresh and modern with a hint of cozy on the inside.Walking in I was impressed with the decor with lanterns filled the ceiling at giving it such a festive vibe along with fun art and wall mural with lots of seating whether it's using bar stools, banquette or there's a couple section that gives the living room feel with two huge chairs and a loveseat with air conditioner blasting indeed it was the holiday season. We came for the Snow Tiger Party where they had some special drinks and merchandise but wasn't quite the party we had imagined but with great friends it was still filled with festive cheer!Immediately I wanted to grab the cozy section and sunk into the loveseat and the staff came over and introduced us with some various samples of beer which was a great ice breaker of choices and ordering is either up at the bar or using their QR code where you're able to start your own tab is really nice and easy as I got the Ceramic Mug with Nitro Beer "Baby It's Gold Outside" which is a stout brewed with hazelnut coffee and Milk Sugar which is something I couldn't resist after all it's the holidays! They do have lots of food as well but not exactly what I was feeling but sitting and just catching up here is very nice and a great place as parking is free for the first hour and they validate the second hour though on this day parking was free...it seems that the Santa has worked it out for us.Thank you!

The newest location of BeerLab at Puck's Alley. Very nicely decorated and trendy spot to hang out with your friends. Comfy seats, good beer, good company, good AC, friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Parking is free in the lot - which is a plus for this area! Bamboo Tiger Sando $14Double breaded and deep fried chicken thigh smothered in our house special tangy, spicy garlic Bamboo Tiger sauce. Served in a milk bread bun on a bed of cabbage slaw and topped with housemade cucumber pickles.-Yummy, good flavor, not spicy to me though.. Side of fries were reasonable for only $2 extra. Beers - we have tried multiple beers here and my favorite was current releases - Kulolo (a classic favorite here in Hawaii) & Nicely Naughty which is a nice gingerbread stout perfect for the holidays. Last month they had Sinigang which was delicious! I don't usually drink too much beer, but the quality with all the different flavors and collaborations with local restaurants makes it worth the try. Will definitely return!

Pucks Alley! There are a couple of Beerlab locations and this was my 1st visit to Pucks Alley. Beerlab is great because they are a craft ale brewery that is non conforming. They collaborate and create really great flavored beers, sours and seltzers from Hawaiian inspired "things". I guess I shouldn't limit it to just Hawaii...because it does go beyond Hawaii, of course! Really great service!! Great prices. They put a lot into what they produce. It is not something you would buy off the shelf. Almost every visit is different. Unless you are there daily! (Which is a perfect idea)Today I had a really great nitro along with a few other tasters. The food was also really delicious and well flavored with great spices. Comforting too. Pucks Alley is spacious. Casual, great music, televisions for games or entertainment. University area, parking behind the building or meters on the street. On Sunday you can catch free meters!! Family friendly. Drink responsibly.

I went to the "new" location of Beer Lab. It's in Puck's alley across from Raising Cane. The interior is pretty sparse and utilitarian. On each table was a QR code with the table number. I had reserved a table and I think it had my name on it. In any case what I liked about this place was the ability to order and keep your order open until the very end - bonus points for being able to pay with Apple Pay!You can choose from a variety of beers and to be honest I think I tried every single one. Of course I ordered 4oz at a time. You can of course choose 12oz pours etc... I enjoyed the variety of beers, each one having a different taste but to be honest, once you get past a few, they start tasting somewhat alike except for the strong porter. They were all good in their own way.Everything was going great until food was ordered. The food looks great, but it doesn't taste great. Their signature chicken Bamboo tiger chicken came with nice looking boneless chicken, but the flavor/sauce is way too strong; there was no finishing this dish. The smoked ahi dip - tasted fine, but there was a huge piece of ahi that wasn't ground in the middle. The smoked meat was ok, but nothing really great - although it was probably the best dish ordered. The seasoned fries were also strong as well. I get it, season well so people order more drinks, but in this case, you just had to stop after a while - too strong flavors.... Someone had a heavy hand that night.I will say the place became packed so people must like the beers and food! I like the vibe and the way you can order - I just wish the food was a little better. Maybe I will try another night and see how it goes? Still, recommended as a cool place to hang out.

Bamboo Tiger Shop is the newest location of Beer Lab Hawaii. They've gone through many changes recently and this is one of the positive additions. Located in Puck's Alley, the spot used to be a Korean restaurant and karaoke joint, so it has a similar vibe but is still distinctly Beer Lab. This is more of a lounge location that the owners wanted to be a place they'd enjoy relaxing in themselves. It has an eclectic collection of furniture inside to the right which make more intimate areas for groups of friends to hang out, plus small tables for singles or pairs, and larger one for groups. There is also traditional bar seating. This location has its own menu (no outside food allowed), which leans into Korean chicken sandwiches, fries, and pickles. They have a full selection of their beers on draft, and plan on doing kombucha again soon. This location also has soju service available, which can go with their sour beers. Like the other locations, you can do pints, half pints, or sample/taster sizes on a flight rack. They have TVs for sporting events, and hopefully will soon do more events here. They have a full merchandise shop in its own room to the right, and a fridge behind the bar of to-go cans. If you're a beer fan visiting Honolulu, you must visit one location of Beer Lab, and this is a quick ride from Waikiki.

The wait is over. Beer Lab is back. Woo hoo!! Blessed with the opportunity to check them out before the official soft opening, the decision to go was a no-brainer.Located on the corner of Puck's Alley and across from Pieology, Bamboo Tiger Shop by Beer Lab features rotating craft beers, kombucha, hard seltzer, cocktails, and (drumroll please) a full kitchen just like their Pearlridge location. Woo hoo! As soon as you enter, you can't help but notice the big, beautiful mural and lanterns hanging from the ceiling. So cool! There are several seating options. You have comfy chairs, areas that will please sports fans cause there are big screen TVs throughout, 2 separate bar areas, and an area that's away from the TVs as well. LOVE IT!! Ordering was a breeze. We had the option to view the menu and order via the QR code on the table or order from their friendly and attentive staff. From the food menu, craft beers, kombucha, hard seltzers, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks it was hard to choose. The staff were very helpful and I appreciated their suggestions. With that said... Drinks for the evening: `ĀWEOWEO- pale ale w/ cascade hops *smooth*OMAKASE- hazy IPA *everyone's favorite*TEA HU- peach soju and hibiscus mint tea *refreshing*SEXY REXY- tequila, lilikoi (passion fruit), li hing mui (dried Chinese plum) *Sounds like a foo foo drink but guys were ordering this. Dangerous cause it tastes so good but you'll feel it afterwards. Worth it!*Also ordered:SMOKED AHI DIP AND CHIPS *a local favorite*SEASONED FRIES *crispy and well seasoned*TACO SANDO - "Taco Bell in a sandwich" *Crispy, moist, and flavorful chicken sandwich; Asian slaw balances out the flavors*While figuring out which chicken wings to order, we were having such a great time we forgot to make a decision haha. Decided to try the Omakase Chicken, which is the special of the week, and a chocolate tart (yes they have desserts) we heard "last call". Shucks lol! PARKING: Puck's Alley or street parking.Walking distance from Stan Sheriff Center or Les Murakami Stadium. Great experience! I'll definitely be back to this location soon. Congratulations Beer Lab on your newest location!

My coworkers and I decided to check this place out after class. We're all fans of beer lab and since this location has different food options we opted to check it out. For parking you need to park in the lot used for Nijiya, Betty's burgers, etc. If the lot is full, you can try to find street parking. It is located on king street just past 7-11 and before you hit university ave. Now to the good stuff. The food and service was AWESOME! We got our drinking within minutes or ordering and the food is made to order so it took a little bit but still came out relatively quickly. The electric lili-pepper beer was interesting and you definitely feel a burn when it's going down. The lihing highball was ok. I wish there was a stringer lihing flavor to it. However, the lihing old fashioned was excellent! Perfect balance of sweet/sour lihing and the bite of the whiskey.I highly recommend checking this place out! Great food, service and easy parking. You really can't ask for much more. Aloha!
