Beastside Kitchen

Stopped for lunch on the way to some sites on the east side of O'ahu. Went with the combo plate lunch of Guava BBQ Chicken and Garlic Umami Shrimp. Wife got the BBQ Pork Belly Bao. The shrimp is the big winner. Eat the whole shrimp, shell and all. It's perfectly fried and seasoned. The chicken is the winner any other day at any other restaurant. Absolute perfection. To drink we had a Yuzu Arnold Palmer...good god! Lastly, the service was great. Owner James stopped by multiple times to offer suggestions, ensure everything tasted good and even share other Arnold Palmer flavors when the yuzu ran out including pineapple and lilikoi versions. He personalized our visit capping off an over the top experience. We'll be back.

Went photo shooting on the east side of O'ahu on Saturday and needed a food break.I always have a problem figuring out what I'm going to eat and where to get it.After driving all the way to Kaimuki and not wanting to get in any of those crowded parking lots I ended up back at 'Aina Hina Shopping Center. Not feeling it.Got on yelp and saw Beastside Kitchen (Niu Valley Shopping Center). Checked out the menu and called in an order. The woman that answered the phone was soooo pleasant and apologized for putting me on hold cause it was busy. No worry, beef curry. No, I didn't order beef curry. I ordered a Loco Moco. Da classic kine. but, to my surprise. It wasn't classic it was, in my words, Supa dupped. With the crunchy fried onions on top and everything. Patty was cooked perfectly. I ordered it medium.The mac salad was kinda weird when i first tasted it alone but along with the gravy and burger. SHE GO!So, this long story was just to let you know that the Loco Moco at Beastside is to LEGIT TO QUIT! yup, Im old. Go get um. you not gonna be sorry.ola, out.

I went to their jazz night, which is held once a month on Tuesdays. On Tuesdays, the tacos are a good deal. My friend ordered a fish burger. Both the tacos and the burger were delicious. Wonderful service first of all. The whole staff was super nice and attentive.Went here with a friend for brunch. The inside was pretty cute and definitely plenty of seating. We got there around 1230 on a Sunday and it was not busy at all! The food was pretty good as well, I highly recommend adding tofu if you get a salad. It was so flavorful. The absolutely only thing negative I have to say is that they charge extra to add avocado to salads but they only put 1-2 slices on it. Not worth the extra charge.Will definitely be returning otherwise!

I've been moving away from greasy food lately but this place had great ratings so I decided to give it a try. The food was greasy alright. I ate so much I went to bed with a stomach ache.The nacho chips left more to be desired (and why wasn't the cheese melted?) The waiters were very attentive, I think we had 3 following up on our table at one point. Overall, I wouldn't personally go back, but I could see why it had great reviews.

The place is big and spacious. There's plenty of parking in the area. The hostess was really nice and we were sat right away BUT nobody went to take our orders or even offered water for 25-30 minutes until we asked one of them if anyone will ever take them. They took the orders and gave water to the other people who were sat after us.The food was delicious, but not enough rice. They also forgot/missed one of our orders and we had to ask for it.

We have been to Beastside Kitchen several times. It's a welcome addition to East Honolulu's restaurant selection. They always seem to be busy when we go and the waiters have always been friendly. It's in the Niu Valley Shopping Center so parking is easy.For some the reason the food is a little too flavorful for my taste. I've had several dishes, the garlic shrimp, guava chicken, umami fries, and spicy tofu (the spicy tofu is my favorite dish so far.)I know that we will return since my husband absolutely loves the seared ahi, so I'll try some other dishes on the menu.

A hidden gem on the east side of the island! I seen this place so many times on social media and decided to finally come out and try it! I'll make this short and sweet! Service: Very friendly staff! When we came it was early they had just opened, so it wasn't crowded at all, we got seated right away and served right away as well. Food: The pastele nachos were delicious, the Ahi was super ono, and the pork belly was surprisingly really good as well. We also got a lilikoi pie to go, which honestly didn't make it home because I ate it all lol it was so bomb. I will definitely be back to try more of the items on the menu.

Food was pretty good. Big portions, friendly service and spacious dining area. Kid friendly as well with the Keiki menu.Delicious burger. Juicy with thick patty. However my friend chicken was way too sweet and the meat wasn't as juicy as I hoped. Fried corn dog and fries for the kid also tasted like frozen food. We enjoyed the dessert though!Overall a decent spot for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area.

I love their food but I do have a complaint. I have tried to call them for the past two days to order. They have not answered the phone despite many tries. I don't want to order online as you have to pay with a credit card and they charge a fee. I like to call and come in a pay cash. if this is a new policy I guess I'll pass
