I love staying here! We were able to stay in the senior nco cabin next to the presidential one that sits on the hill right before pyramid rock. This cabin is really nice. Two bedroom with a wrap around porch that overlooks Kaneohe bay. On one side of the cabin you can walk down a path that leads to a rocky Bay Area, which is still nice for swimming and snorkeling. On the other side of the cabin is pyramid rock beach/bay! Lots of sand but the water can be a little rough. There was a shark sighting while we were here so we had to stay out of the water for a few hours. The cabin also has another fenced lanai area on the back side of the cabin, and a grill and shower area near the main entrance of the cabin. The nice thing about MCBH cabins is they come fully stocked. They had beach chairs, body boards, lanterns, one of the rooms had a Nintendo switch with games, the kitchen even had useful things like salt/pepper and oil. On arrival there are bottles of water and chocolate macadamias. The cabins in white plains do not offer any of these amenities. There is even a guest book each guest can write in, pretty interesting - some people wrote stories about beaches or hidden spots to go see near by, or where they are from - some form London etc!I really enjoyed staying here, would definitely come back for a longer stay but reservations are hard to get!

Always love staying here. Super cute two bedroom/1 bath cottage along the coast line on Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. The views are breathtaking and the place itself is comfortable and cool. A/C in each room, fully equipped kitchen and a grill outside. Large deck in the back with table and enough chairs for hosting if you invite guests over. Daily housekeeping, free WiFi and cable tv (in living room). Sometimes it may get a little loud because it's near an active runway and there are planes and jets that flying around overhead. I don't mind it though. I think it's awesome seeing all the aircraft flying and it just adds to the scenery.*You must be military affiliated to make reservations and have base access.

Whoa! I had no idea this was so nice. I have heard of cabins being on the Kaneohe Marine Base, but had no idea now wonderful they were. I have not stayed in them myself overnight. But I did have the pleasure of being a guest/visitor to the cabins. Now I want to stay myself...so stay tuned! In any case, they are located in the perfect place for Rest and Relaxation. There is a beach nearby if you wish to take a dip and it's not an over crowded beach either. Once again, if you have access to the base, this may be an option for you for a quick relaxing getaway where no one can find you! Plus...drum roll...super affordable! Awesome!I must note the view...I can sum it up by just saying "WOW"...see the attached pic!No Con's!

We are very impressed with the cottages here at MCBH. Our cottage is nestled right on the water and is so very relaxing! It is stocked with all the kitchen supplies you need (dishes, pots, pans, cutlery) and bathroom linens and toiletries. We have our own personal charcoal grill and picnic table, as well as a patio table and two pool chairs overlooking the bay. We grilled steaks and roasted s'mores! We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

Affordable and amazing!! Not luxurious, but efficient, cute, and comfortable. We enjoyed our overnighter and intend on coming back soon. Here are a bunch of pictures I took for our memories, but thought it might be helpful to those of you who are contemplating renting these out. If you are looking for relaxation, seclusion, and ocean views, this is it!The only downfall this place has is that it isn't pet friendly... however, the Villas and the Lodge on MCBH are pet friendly! The cottages, cabanas, villas, and lodge are all under the same management...I find it hard to understand why these cottages aren't pet friendly too because it is tiled throughout the cottage and has a great lanai, all of which are easy to clean should our hairy babies make a little mess. Hopefully they consider and convert these cottages into pet friendly rentals, that would be fantastic. I have been contemplating whether rating the cottages with four or five stars because of the non-pet-friendly aspect. However, since the affiliated venues are pet-friendly and because I am hopeful (keeping a little hope in my heart that maybe someday these may become pet-friendly too), I decided on five stars. I just really wish my two hairy babies could have come along and enjoyed this too.

We have been circling the island staying at all of the beach cottages when we can. I have been trying to save this one for last since it is so expensive. Unfortunately for Kaneohe Bay, this means I have something to compare them too.I have also stayed at PARC and the beach cottages at Barber's Point. You may have heard poor reviews about PARC because it is located in Waianae and the public has access to the base, but I would rate that cabin higher than these. Nestled on the other side of the flight line at the far Northwest corner of base, you descend into the high grass to emerge and find beach cottages. This was a little difficult to find even with the map. The signs are not easily seen, especially without any additional lighting in the evening. You also must have a car to access them because they do not allow pedestrians or cyclists across the runway. Crossing the flight line is a very neat experience if there are flight operations going on. The guard at the end of the runway will stop you if they are expecting a takeoff or landing soon. A plane took off right in front of me! When I arrived at the cabin, (1603B), 2 of the 4 parking spaces were already claimed. Unfortunately this area had 6 cabins. By the time my hubs got here, he had to park on the side of the road. This became a problem throughout the weekend when guests would invite their friends to use the beach. We didn't have anywhere to park a single vehicle. If you require vehicles to access the cottage, you would think they would provide additional parking facilities. The cabins were sufficient. We stayed in a duplex cabin with 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom a full kitchen/dining/living area. We also had a grill, outdoor shower, and lanai furniture. Each bedroom and the living room had their own space A/C and ceiling fan. The dining room also had a ceiling fan. There were ants, which we were used to, but watch out for the fire ants. They were everywhere! Being a couple trying to relax and get away from everything, we were disappointed when we could hear every work the next door neighbors were saying. Not sure if they were just a loud family, but it sounded like we were in the same cabin. The beach there was actually tiny. With everyone inviting people on Saturday, we had no room to enjoy the beach ourselves as registered guests. However, I'm not sure we would have regardless since the sand was actually mostly rocks not fine sand. The water at this time of year is very tame and good for kids though. For being the most expensive cabin funded by the military, I expected a lot more.

My husband and i absolutely LOVE the cottages. We stayed cor a week last year as well. We love the private bay beach at our cottage and the public ocean beach just steps away. You really feel like your on vacation here. EVERYONE. on staff here at the facility are wonderful. Check in & out is fast, easy and the front desk staff are friendly. The housekeeping staff is, by far the BEST I have ever encountered. So tentative, friendly and kind. I adore Peggy! She my Hawaiian sista from anotha mista! Cannot WAIT to. visit again!

We have rented a cottage for visiting family members multiple times now and they have never disappointed! They are an amazing value for private (or semi private) cottages located right on Kaneohe Bay. Cottages include a full kitchen, 1 bath, 2 bedrooms (each with a full size bed), porch area, outdoor shower, grill, daily housekeeping, etc... What more can you want?! Call as soon as you are available to make a reservation because these cottages book up FAST.

Loved loved loved loved staying here; you feel so away from the rest of the world on your own private little lanai with your own private beach front. I wish I loved there. 1613 was the BEST! Beware of flies; keep the air on!

I hate to write a negative review but we were pretty shocked at the state of our cottage after reading all these good reviews. This place needs a deep cleaning and some updating! When we walked in I felt like I was in a glorified camping cabin. The couches need replacing big time...even hubby didn't want to sit on them they look so dirty! Just overall feels old and rather grimy. The positives are the beautiful views and closeness to water in front of the cottage and the little beach area behind the cottage. Wifi is really good too. We're pretty surprised that the Inns of the Corps wouldn't give these an update and keep them cleaner. I saw housekeeping come in one day and they were literally in and out within 5 minutes, didn't even make the bed. Just glad my husband is here for work and we're not paying for this place out of our own pockets.
