Rented a beach umbrella and two chairs for the week. Very high quality gear! Even included a beach cart, which was super helpful for hauling the gear and the main reason I went with them. Excellent price for the week vs. $90/day at the hotel. Highly recommend, Ron and Andy were super friendly! Will use them again next time I'm in Waikiki for sure!

Love this company. Rented a surf board for the weekend. They delivered and picked it up and could not have been nicer. I'll definitely be using them again when I'm back in Hawaii.

We visited Waikiki and stayed at the (Military) Hale Koa. The umbrella and chair rentals in front of the Hale Koa are pretty expensive. Found this company online and they were really great. Easy pickup, easy drop off, right near the hotel. The equipment was well kept and the owners were very helpful. I recommend if you're looking for a family owned business that's both a good deal and good people.

I can't say enough good things about our surf instructor Jill and this company. My family was here visiting me and before we knew it, they had one day left and we hadn't done a surf lesson yet. We called up Beach Boy Hale and asked if they could fit us in before they left. Mind you, my family had a mid-morning flight, so this was a SUPER last minute request. Beach Boy Hale was so accommodating. They booked us a lesson before their official opening time, and our surf instructor Jill showed up with her 5-month old baby and husband - THAT is dedication! I believe they own BBH and their dedication to their customers is so apparent. We all had such a great surf lesson with Jill. She is so knowledgable, a very effective instructor, and she made us all feel comfortable and safe. We all stood up on our first or second tries! I'd highly recommend taking a lesson here whether it's your first time (like most of our group) or if you've had a lesson before. I've previously taken a lesson elsewhere and this lesson was WAY better. Lots of people know how to surf well, but to teach it well is harder, and Jill does a fantastic job. I thought the 1-4 instructor to students ratio was perfect - it gave us a few minutes to get back in position and rest our arms for a few seconds without feeling like we were just sitting around doing nothing. Jill had us catching waves so fast, I actually felt like I never waited for it to be my turn again.Beach Boy Hale also offers a really nice military discount, which I really appreciate. We've also rented beach chairs/umbrellas, and paddle boards from them at great rates.

Had a great paddleboarding lesson with Jill! She was VERY knowledgeable and patient. I paddleboard semi-regularly at my jenky urban beach back home, and came for a lesson while in Honolulu for work because I have no idea what I'm doing out there. Jill was super helpful in teaching me how to adjust my stance, how to turn, and how to deal with a bit of chop in the water.We also caught a little wave. AND saw a turtle! Great lesson.

This was such an amazing experience! I had so much fun on the Hobert Mirage! It was such a good workout and it was so fun to be on the water in a different way :) I'd definitely recommend seeing Ron and asking for a tour. Totally worth going to Waikiki on my Saturday!

Five stars for the surf lessons!!! Instructor Dane was AMAZING with my husband, son and son's friend! All three were standing up almost instantly. The 12 year olds had a blast and got worn out doing it!!;) fantastic instructor!Location... location is decent. Being military we went and cooled off at the Hale Koa pool after. Price was amazing!!!!! Definitely worth what you pay FOR THE LESSONs!The ONLY reason this review is 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost of pictures. You do get a few decent shots but to get the video, it's more than the cost of the lesson itself. Way way too expensive. I settled for photos only at $25 a person instead of video at $66. If they made this more cost effective than it would be hands down a 5 star review!Dane needs a raise! He rocks

Very helpful, responsive and great to work with.... Convenient location and east to book. Quality equipment which made our beach trips relaxing. Will use next time.

Great spot for beach rentals! We booked 2 beach chairs and an umbrella.. The owner (Ron) provided us a rolling cart to help us move the equipment and he threw in a cooler bag to store our drinks free of charge. Definitely recommend, a bit hard to find as it's located in a plaza but overall a good experience. 5/5
