Barefoot Beach Cafe

Barefoot beach cafe is a staple when spending a day in Waikiki. You can't get better views than this. Although there's som construction work happening next store, they keep the space clean and inviting. I've been to Barefoot Beach Cafe so many times and try to order something different every time. The tacos were small but had great flavor, I forget what the slaw mixture was on the inside but it tasted so fresh and the salsa added a nice spice. The burger was great and we really enjoyed the salted sweet potato fries. Service as usual was friendly and ordering was easy. I've noticed the fresh caught fish of the day has been swordfish almost every time I've visited, which does raise my alarm of "is it really todays fresh caught fish" or is this a pretty regular staple that they keep around? But never the less anytime I've had it, it is good. Maybe they have a good swordfish fishing spot.

If you're wondering where everyone on Waikiki is getting the pineapple smoothies from... this is the place!! The Dole pineapple smoothie is so so good, and such a fun way to eat your pineapple! The Hawaiian brioche French toast was great! Add macadamia and you won't regret it. You don't even need syrup for this because the bread is so flavorful! With fresh fruit on top, I wouldn't change a thing! There's live music sometimes too, so you're in for a really relaxing vibe!

This place was delicious, it was right on the beach, and the service was friendly. Reasonably priced for being on the tourist strip.

I walked a mile and a half to get here from my Airbnb and was not disappointed! Got a seat with a view of the water and the fish of the day plate was incredible! You order from a window and wait for them to call your name, which didn't take too long. Definitely will be back!

We arrived right at 8 AM as the cafe opened its doors, and it was an excellent decision! The seating is entirely on the patio, offering stunning views of the ocean and the lively beachgoers.While there's some construction happening nearby that may momentarily block a few sightlines, the mouthwatering food certainly makes up for it. Beautiful view with outside seating Walk up and orderOpen seating I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp. It was really good, I just wish it was actually spicy and more garlic . The sauce on the shrimp had good flavor as well.

The food was delicious & reasonably priced, but unfortunately the cashier had an attitude when I sent my burger back because it had some kind of sauce on it that was not listed on the menu. Of course, if it had been disclosed as having what looked like thousand island, I would have ordered it without, but it wasn't listed. The cashier double checked the menu (I guess to make sure I wasn't lying), then rolled her eyes, and reentered my order. Definitely could have had better customer service.

Dog Friendly *Service*Ambiance *This is just for the fries I needed a snack before dinnerthey were hot which was good but kinda brownish, greasy, and soft -so not the greatest tasting but wonder if its just their standard or was this a not so good of a batch???

The Barefoot Beach Cafe is a popular place to grab a meal or smoothie because the cafe is located on the waterfront just east of Waikiki Beach. I have been a couple times and there is always a small line to order food. Yesterday, I took my granddaughter for a meal and some Dole whip. There is a chain link fence that now is surrounding the dining area as there appears to be some break wall construction going on. As you look pass the fence you have a lovely view of the ocean and Waikiki. The menu offers a nice mix of popular local favorites including Loco Moco, Garlic Shrimp and even a fresh catch of the day. Portions are large and definitely sharable. There is no kid's menu. Prices are reasonable for the portion size. I ordered the fish and chips. The food was out in about 15 minutes. The panko batter seemed a little overcooked (dark and tough) but the white fish was moist and good. The fries are hand cut and we're on the dark side, which I like. The plate was artful. My granddaughter's Dole Whip took about 30 minutes to come out, I guess they were just getting the machine going. She was a little antsy. She loved her little cup of creamy frozen pineapple. Breakfast plates looked delicious. There is patio seating, some covered. The staff is friendly, although if you have a problem, it is hard to get anyone's attention. Tables are kept clean. Even though my meal wasn't perfect, I still recommend.
