Chef Jason & his staff are AHMAZZZZZZIIINNNGGGG!!! I tried their food a few times at events and also brought their family meals during the shutdown. The food & service is always so good. They do private dinning and cook at your house or venue. My husband surprised me for Mother's day and booked a hotel with a kitchen and had a live singer and Chef Jason come to cook a 3 course meal. We had appetizers (forgot to take a pic), salad, sEafood risotto, wagu steak, & for dessert creme brûlée. It doesn't look like much but I was really full at the end. It was truly a great experience. Something different for sure. Especially when I don't like going out to restaurants when it gets so busy. Book Bamboo catering for your next event or private dining experience!!!

Bamboo Catering is normally a full service caterer. Their commercial kitchen is at the Filipino Community Center, but they can cater anywhere. Now that we have stay-at-home orders from the city and state, Bamboo Catering has had to adapt to the times since their catering must've come to a halt. They are now offer heat-and-serve meals. Every Monday, they put out a menu on their Facebook and Instagram pages. Each item consists of quantity to feed about 4-5 people. They also recommend to order enough for the week to reduce the amount of contact, but also because they only have pick ups once a week (not sure if that will change over time).Pick ups have been Wednesdays 10AM-12:30PM at the Filipino Community Center. They are in the far back corner under a tent. You may pay the person under the tent and she will call back your order. They will come out with your trays of food. It was such a breeze to work with David, their sales manager. He was easy to communicate with and was very personable. My fiance and I are from California and had the opportunity to complete a food tasting with them when we visited a few months before the wedding. The food that Chef Jason provided was excellent. It was no different on our actual wedding day, 8/1/22. Our guests could not stop talking about the food and how delicious it was. David, Chef Jason, and the Bamboo Catering staff were amazing.

We hired bamboo catering for our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough! The food was fresh, everything was delicious and most importantly our guests were raving about the food. Thank you Bamboo Catering!

I cannot rave about this company enough from top to bottom. David, their sales manager is one of the most helpful and nicest individuals you will meet. He was extremely helpful, prompt, and communicative from the minute I inquired to the end of my event. David gave me suggestions of fine tune my menu selections and what pairs well with what and what guests tend to gravitate to. Chef Jason is a phenomenal chef and his food is absolutely delicious. All of our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed our food and family members that usually don't eat a lot, got seconds! He even took the time to come out of the kitchen to say hi to us. Their whole serving staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The food was average but very expensive. The dessert was delicious: Bread pudding with white chocolate sauce. However, the dessert was not enough for all of our guests (about 300 people). When I asked for more, they did not serve any more dessert. The table settings were beautiful and just what I asked for. Our event started a little late (10 minutes or so) due to people being stuck in traffic. We wanted our speaker to speak first and then to serve the food afterwards. However, both the president of our organization and the event coordinator were constantly harassed by David asking us to start the buffet line. This was our event! Do NOT tell us when to start the buffet line. He interrupted us (enjoying the event) several times, pressuring us and even threatening us. David sent me texts telling me to stop the speaker and to start the buffet line during the speaker's speech. That was very rude! I will not hire them again! I found a good caterer for our next event who will charge $25 less per person and the menu looks even better (although it does not include dessert). The servers were really nice, and I hate to think how David treats them. We loved the venue (JCCH) but the caterer was rude and harassed us! No thank you! Our next event will be somewhere else with a different Caterer. NEVER tell someone how to run their event, David! It was our event, not your event.

Bamboo Catering was an excellent choice for our wedding at Nutridge Estate. Outdoor weddings are difficult from a kitchen perspective as you have to bring everything in, but Chef Jason and his admin partner David were AMAZING to work with. Chef Jason has great experience from hotel, fine dining, and weddings. He was very creative, the food was delicious, and everything came off without a hitch. David works on the details portion of the business. David is incredibly organized, responsive, and collaborative. David was able to get into the nitty gritty of the rentals with us. Together their team was able to tell us the pros and cons of different table sizes, spacing, and table scapes. All of these details and discussion notes they provided was able to save us money and get smarter about how we executed the wedding. The tasting was by far the best part of the process as we really got to taste the food. Like many other wedding couples, we didn't get to enjoy the food as much since we were running around, but all of our guests were highly complimentary. With all the challenges of COVID, Bamboo Catering was highly adaptive, transparent, and a pleasure to work with.

Bamboo Catering provided the food for an event at the JCCH Ballroom (formerly the Manoa Grand Ballroom.) The food at the lunch buffet was marginal and the worst part was there were lipstick stains on both my wife's and my coffee cups! I guess they are the contract caterers for JCCH Ballroom so if you have an event there you are probably stuck with them.
