Tried the blueberry lilikoi danish, mushroom garlic croissant and the pastrami croissant. The danish was the best tasting one for sure. Nice sweetness with the lilikoi drizzle. The danish was soft and the outside had a light flaky crust. The croissants looked good but honestly didn't taste all that great. They were on the smaller side, a bit dry, had little filling and was very oily/buttery. Next time, I'll try some different danishes.

We enjoy coming to the Pearlridge Farmers Market that is held on Saturdays starting at 8 AM and ending at 12 Noon. This Farmers Market is not as large as others on island but, for us, we are drawn to several particular vendors. Like moths to lightbulbs, as soon as we come to the market, we head straight for the Baker Dudes tent. The Baker Dudes offer all sorts of breads and pastries. The yeast-risen breads have a doughy home made texture or perhaps even more like from a bread machine texture... dense, hearty with a nice chew. The range of baked goods include sourdough boules, quick breads, tropical fruit sweet breads, stuffed croissants, cookies, scones and even sticky buns. I think they even have a mobile oven that the "dudes" bake their products fresh on the premises. We've tried their sweet bread, two weeks in a row, starting with mango then cinnamon. This weekend, we even bought their mango stuffed turnovers which were buttery and flaky puff pastry triangles of pure Aloha. TIP: We arrived late, around 11:15-ish and were told that because it was so near to closing, they priced their pastries to go at 3/$5. Their sticky buns and stuffed croissants sell out quickly. They accept cash only and are reasonably priced. Service is congenial and efficient. Don't forget to bring your re-useable bags to put your goodies in as you roam the market. If you miss this vendor, don't worry... Baker Dudes are ALSO regular participants at the Kailua, Ward and Haleiwa Farmers Markets. They have recently added a brick and mortar shop in Downtown Honolulu on Alakea Street.#394

One of the only booths at this farmers market to offer vegan options! The Vegan cookies here are amazing - this from a non-vegan friend of vegans! I also brought home with me a mushroom pastry as well as as a veggie pastry - both were great and very reasonably priced (2 for $5!) The folks who work here are really nice and don't pressure you to buy their food items - they seem to have a lot of offerings and everything is delicious! You can't go wrong with these guys and gals!

I got the rye sourdough! The bread is dense and moist. There is a variety of spices baked into the bread. Yum! I sliced it as thin as I could and made them into sandwiches. I'm going to go back weekly as this fresh bread is my new source of bread for my house.I saw some amazing pastries but didn't get a chance to try as the young Man announced they were on sale and then a group of people rushed the counter. However I was able to get my hands on the oatmeal cookies which came in a pack of 3 for $4. Moist, thick and crumbly amazingness!I'm sorry, I failed you. I didn't take any pictures. Next week. I promise.

I finally got to try Baker Dudes this morning at the Pearlridge Farmers' Market. Although the name made me expect to see a couple of burly dudes wearing aprons, the stand was actually run by two sweet girls. I love that they have a wide variety of breads and pastries both sweet and savory. It was hard to decide what to buy, thankfully they take cards! Today I bought a blueberry swirly type pastry, a package of orange cranberry scones, a spicy pork croissant, and an artichoke feta croissant. I also bought a banana bread with taro to give as a gift. I should have bought two so I could try it. Before sitting down to write this review I ate the blueberry pastry. Wow! So good. The pastry is super tasty and perfectly baked. It's topped with fresh blueberries and a sweet icing that I think is lemony. It was so delicious, it'll bring me back to Baker Dudes!

It's a quick walk across the street for me but worth it if you're in the mood for a farmers market on a Sat morning. We've tried just about everything they sell and it's always fresh & delicious. Friendly people and fair prices.

Best pastries on the island. Got the pork croissant, can't say I've ever had something like this before. It has a couple of jalepenos for just a little spiciness. It's amazing!
