** 3.5 **In the past, I'd always see long lines here. Needed to try it out. Came here for the 1st time back in September 2023. Then again last summer 2024. Again last night. One of my go to toppings is their butter & corn nex to the soft boiled egg.I tried their original miso broth and it was packed with flavor. Not your typical Japanese miso soup broth either. The noodles were nice and tender, along with the bean spots and slice of pork. They garnish with some spring onion whites and thick chunks of bamboo shoots. There was no wait when we arrived, just another party at the tree table, with a gradual flow coming in during our time there. The bowls came out fairly quick. The soup could have been a bit hotter. I always like it piping hot. Overall, a nice cool (very clean) place to grab some noodles and cool down from the humid temps in Waikiki.

Hubs wanted to give this place a try. Arrived at around 8pm and we were seated right away. Hubs went with the Spicy Waikiki and I ordered the Butter and Corn Miso and added an egg. Pros - I liked the jammy egg, the miso broth tasted creamy, and the ramen texture was good. Hubs liked the charsiu. However, the flavors, overall, were too subtle. With everything in the bowl - meat, bamboo, beansprouts, egg, . . . - I expected more flavor that, unfortunately, just wasn't there.

Food:SPECIAL SHOYU RAMEN(topping with chasu pork sokedovernight, mixed w/ soy sauce and their original 'double soup' to deepen the flavor) - way too salty but at the same time tasty. The chasu is so flavorful and soft in every bite. Noodle is cooked just right. Broth has a rich flavor yet too salty for my palate. ZANGI - basically it's like karaage. It was so good. Fried to perfection, nice crunch from the outside but juicy from the inside.GYOZA (beef & vegetable dumplings pan seared with sesame oil) - was cooked perfectly and the fillings are seasoned well, savory tasty. But again, they charged us kitchen service for 4%.And yet here we are again, still tip them. Double kill for my pocket. Like, bruuuh, I think the owner should be the one paying for their kitchen cook right? Tsssk...Overall t'was good. Ramen is cheaper compared to next door and the ambiance is pretty comfy. It was clean and the staffs are nice. Abby, our server was so kind and friendly and making sure that we are taken care off. Love her work ethics.Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

I came here around lunch time. I got the shio ramen and the chicken karage. I wasn't particularly blown away by anything. It just tasted like a normal bowl of ramen, and customer service was normal. (Not bad and not great). There are a lot of ramen shops nearby, so I'm not sure if I'd return anytime soon.

We came here for a late night dinner around 9 PM and ordered the shoyu and shio ramen. The texture of the noodles was perfectly done and came out slightly al dente however, the broth was extremely salty, and the pork was even more salty. It was difficult to eat without gulping down a lot of water. If you're looking for a quick and easy eat I don't think that this is a bad option, but there are definitely better Japanese Ramen spots on the island. The service was friendly and the ambience reminded me of my time in Japan.

Baikohken is located in Stix Asia Food Hall/Waikiki Shopping Plaza. We were overwhelmed by the number of food stalls and restaurants and ended up trying Baikohken's ramen. Everyone at our party ordered their Shoyu ramen. We enjoyed it but noticed that it was not as flavorful as the ramen we had before. Their staff was amiable, though. They were pleasant and very accommodating, especially since we were a big party (party of 8). The restaurant is a bit small since it is located in a food hall, but don't let that stop you from eating here. Their staff will make sure you will be seated no matter how big or small your party is.

Aloha and welcome to my food journey in Hawaii! So glad to finally be back on my island home after twelve years away. I knew I had to check out the amazing food scene that's only gotten better throughout the years, and since I'm staying in Waikiki for a few days, I decided to take a stroll and see what I found. Enter Baikohken in the Asia Stix Food Hall right down the street from me. One thing I'll mention is that on a Wednesday night, there were a lot restaurants in the food hall that were closed, so our options were limited.I'd never tried spicy miso ramen before - I know, don't ask why - so I decided to try it here. There aren't many flavor options for their ramen, but that was okay. It forced me to get out of my comfort zone and try something new to me. I also ordered the seared chasu bowl and the fried chicken. SO ONO! It really felt like a welcome home to the island, and it was very tasty. I would love to go back again the next time I'm in Waikiki.

I love my ramen and will even travel to Waikiki to try something new. Usually locals don't eat in Waikiki but you gotta try this place. It downstairs of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. I parked at the Waikiki Market place and walked over, cheaper parking and you can get it validated if you buy something there. Like dessert. The ramen dashi was tasty and the noodles like Japan. I mean hard to beat Japan but dang close! We learned that the cook is from Japan. One of the best part is they give Kamaaina discount. We got there when they first opened so we got seated fast. If you love ramen you gotta try this place!!

Planned a quick trip out to HNL and remember seeing a new food hall in Waikiki. Baikohken was a quick 5 min walk from our hotel and opted to dine here for dinner.Started off with karaage which was fried perfectly to a golden brown. It came straight out of the fryer so it was hella hot but flavorful. Only used a bit of the chili pepper to add a bit of spice but it was well marinated. I opted for the spicy miso ramen which was tasty. Only complaint was that I would've preferred my noodles cooked a bit less as I prefer a firmer texture. My wife ordered ginger miso ramen which she enjoyed though I thought the broth was a bit light for my taste buds.Overall a decent ramen shop that's walking distance from all of the bigger hotels in Waikiki.

Great food, I loved the ramen. The broth was very good which is essential for ramen. Everything was spot on. Portions were great too and tbh the toppings and meat are more than enough. Service is good and ramen is out pretty quickly. I like the little Japan ambiance too.
