Badass Burgers Hawaii

Winnahs indeed. Been wanting to try Badass since they first opened, but we never got around to it. Now, with their good truck in operation (check Insta for hours and location), we wee finally able to stop by.Got the loaded fried and the Sweet Ass Korean plate. The breading on the "chicken" was fantastic. This is the hardest thing to get right, and they knocked it out. The sauce was also amazing. Bonus: the plate was stacked (check out the pic). Fries were also good as were the prices.Folx were also friendly and provided great service. We will be back.

THE BEST MEAL I HAD IN HAWAII! This shit was absolutely crazy. I honestly wanted the burger but my boyfriend convinced me to get a plate, and I agreed to get the plate because I have a lot of vegan burger options in California. We ended up arriving at 10:30 am to the lot and waited for 30 minutes because the yelp time said it opens at 10 am, however, we called and they actually said they open at 11 am. We told them that their yelp said they open at 10 am, and they apologized for the inconvenience and said they will update their hours. After purchasing the meal, they ended up giving us two of their strawberry lemonades! BTW, they park in a gated lot but the lot offers 30 minutes free parking (and then charge after the 30 minutes). Parking is very weird.Anyways, the Miso-Ass Chicken plate was sooooo amazing. I personally like vegan foods because I am allergic to milk and eggs, so I tend to gravitate to vegan food so I can get similar substitutes. My boyfriend is not at all vegan, and he craved this meal after we finished it. It is very salty, but the sauce that they coat the chicken with is flavorful and absolutely delicious. The chicken is not really meaty, it is more crunchy and like chicken skin. It has to be eaten with the rice and potato salad to balance out the saltiness. The lemonade was more sour/tart with a slight sweetness. This was the best meal I had in the entire week in Oahu. It is also one of my favorite dishes EVER. My boyfriend and I still crave this meal, but they're only open for 2 days:(. Until next time, thank you!

I love every ingredient onthis burger. This burger is built well on a brioche bun. The two patties are so yummy like a homemade patty. Your tastebuds have no idea it is plant based because it is so onolicious and perfectly grilled. Love the sautéed mushrooms. The truffle aioli is layered on with just right amount as to not overpower but to enhance the burger. The crispy strings elevates the burger with a crispy crunch. Every bite is so good! Highly recommend!The menu also includes an assortment of crinkle french fries and plate lunches.I will return to try a plate lunch. Highly recommend!The owners Kai and Tiana are very nice and friendly. They opened BBH due to the pandemic whenthey both lost their jobs. I'm a vegan and was delighted to find a plant-based food truck through Yelp. I had the Hammah-Ass plate lunch. It was mountain of very good food.As a long-time vegan, this was the first time I had anything like a potato salad in a decades. It was delicious, as were the two big patties, with some nice gravy, over rice, mushrooms and crispy onions.Very generous portions. It would have easily been big enough to satisfy 2 medium-sized people.Great service! The couple that runs the place are very friendly and nice. They just moved their food truck to this new spot a few months ago.If you're eating there, there are 4 picnic tables nearby to the right of the truck near a fence, with a big tree for shade, and also a table with some midday shade to the left of the truck too.If you're vegan, do yourself a favor and go try Badass Burgers out. Bring your non-vegan friends too and see if they can tell it's plant-based.

Bad ass what?! My coworkers and I were stoked to find a new place opened down the street from work. We called to make a takeout order, only to realize it was vegan. I like my meat however vegan burgers got me weary. It must be good considered the name is "bad ass". The menu itself has a catchy vibe because who doesn't have a potty mouth. There's different types of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and plate lunch. Prices range from $10-$20 depending on what you get.We tried the bad ass burger and bad ass fries. The burger was delicious! It was honestly a good burger. I would have never thought it was vegan. The sautéed onions is a good touch. The burger bun was so soft and tasty compared to a traditional sesame bun. I appreciate that it comes with the fixings of lettuce and tomato as well. Crazy to say, this was probably the best burger I had in a while. The fries were crinkled cut and crispy but they were just fries. They do offer specialty fries which I would love to try. Portions are a good serving. They don't skimp! I couldn't finish my burger because it was so filling. Maybe it's healthy? It sure filled my craving for a burger, that's for sure. I would definitely come back. Service was great! You can tell the staff really care about their customers and their food based on the interaction for takeout. The only issue is parking. There's not much options so if you're doing takeout, I would recommend being dropped off otherwise it's only street. Now to try make it through the rest of the work day....

When it comes to VEGAN and Hawaiian Style Food you think how???Now you know how when you come to Badass Burgers!!!! Seriously!I don't normally go eating this type of food either.....but being that I'm in Hawaii and not able to eat the "Local Style" foods that I once ate I saw this place when I searched....and figured give it a shot...it was so good I even came back TWICE!!! WHAT THE ASS???? Yup....the owners are just as bad ass as the name itself! I spoke to them about the changes in diets and how things in Hawaii have changed since my last trip 3 years ago when finding Vegan was difficult....5 Stars - 2 Thumbs Up for making this work out!!!!!I'm not sure how they came up with Korean Style Fried Chicken with Oyster Mushrooms...but it works....I understand the impossible patty being there though...but the gravy and the sauce and everything just made it taste naturally "Hawaiian". My apologies since I'm not from Hawaii so I'm just kinda guessing here!!!! Anyhow, I came back for a second trip during my vacation to try another thing the Trufflin' Ass Burger which was really good as well...huge dripping with the awesome love they put into making this place....They are currently open Friday and Saturday....but I would hope that business gets to the point that they can make this a full time gig and everybody can enjoy what they are offering!Hopefully my next trip to Hawaii they have their own location and a line out the door...even if it makes me wait longer for food...I want them to be successful with doing something that they believe in and I believe in them!

Bu-RAAAAH. This place!!! I don't even remember how I came across it, but asked my friend, after a trip to Home Depot, if we could swing up the street to Badass before it closed. While we arrived a little less than official closing time, we were informed that actually the kitchen was closing as items were winding down.However, the staff was SUPER nice, and one of the aunties took a short pause to attend to me. She informed me that they were closing, but asked me what I had wanted so I told her that I was looking for the Trufflin' Burger and the Chicken Sandwich. She informed the staffer taking orders, and confirmed with me that they could get me my order. Yippee!! I suppose that since it was just two items, they would be able to accommodate; I had noticed that two people leaving the restaurant had boxes, with a few orders.The sandwiches!! OMG! We drove it over to my friend's apartment, so by the time we got to eat, it probably had been another 20 minutes. I had a piece of my friend's trufflin' burger! HO! TWO Impossible patties? Two different types of cheese? Crispy onions and mushrooms?! OMGGG. So decadent!! My boyfriend had a bite and was left a little speechless. Neither my friend nor the bf are vegan or vegetarian, and both were impressed. My friend definitely likes her meat items, and I had assured her several times..."you DON'T have to order here - we can get you food somewhere else", but she definitely liked her burger. We both agreed that the truffle was faint, but WOW what a decadent meal! It was also a $17 sandwich, but pretty much blew our minds.I had the crispy chicken sandwich, which was super tasty! I really liked the bbq/chipotle mayo and the texture of the chicken was really amazing. Totally worth the $10!I couldn't really choose which was my favorite since I liked the chipotle and crunch of the chicken sandwich, but also thought those crispy onions were friggin' incredible. Kinda sad that the crispy onions aren't a side - they definitely should be!!Congrats to this BADASS restaurant - the food was outstanding, and the fact that it was vegan makes it unreal. Parking was hard on this Saturday, since we weren't in any legitimate spot, but we tag teamed. Next time I know to call ahead though, but was really grateful that the staff was able to fulfill my order because I am a fan for life.

This is hands down the best vegan burger I have ever had. The breading on their chicken and shrimp is absolutely perfect. They're impossible Patty 2.0 is perfectly seasoned. As vegans, traveling can be difficult, often being forced to French fries and steamed veggies. But Badass Burgers Hawaii has your back. It's only open Friday and Saturday's (or at least when we visited), but it is totally worth planning your meal around one of those days. You do not want to miss out on this masterpiece of a burger.We also tried the Bad Ass chick sandwich. Just as delicious but the thick ass burger was my favorite. Hamburger Patty, fried shrimp AND fried chicken!!

Badass burgers makes me feel like a badass! Service is a grand opening spectacular! Great food, great people, recommend coming here! I enjoyed eating here, I would love to come back here! 5 Stars!
