After church services we wanted to get some Saimin and decided to grad a won ton min at Au's Garden the staff is always so friendly and welcoming! The won ton min hit the spot it was delicious and filling, which we both enjoyed it on a cold night.Parking was available and customers kept coming in even close to closing time which is 9:00 pm, but service is fast and they were able to order and get their food before we left.

Pretty good Chinese food i need to try more dishes to fully give a better review but the dishes i got was take out.Roast duck, comes with a sauce which is very different from other Chinese restaurants. But I like it. Some pieces were dry but the parts that wasn't dry was super good.Salt and pepper pork chops. This is my favorite to order but I felt like they didn't put enough of the toppings on it so it tasted a little more bland than I'm used to. Overall the service was great and pretty quick. I wanna dine in and get the full experience or get more dishes for take out.

Nine of us went there for Gabriel P.'s birthday in early November, 2024. The Mayor of Chinatown, Paul C., ordered for us.Despite prior reviews from my eating buddies at the event, I thought most of the dishes were average or not so tasty. The only dish I really liked was the crispy chicken. There were a lot of parties celebrating events. As a venue for events, this place is fine, but I wouldn't eat there if I wanted tasty food.

I recently dined at Au's Garden Chinese Restaurant for dinner, and it was just as impressive as my lunch experiences here. The food came out incredibly fast, which was perfect given how busy the place was, a true testament to its popularity and strong local following. The noodle dishes were delicious, with an amazing variety of flavors. The noodles had a delightful crispness that added a unique texture, which I really enjoyed.Despite the crowd, the staff did their best to keep things running smoothly, staying focused and working hard to meet everyone's needs.

Celebrated a birthday dinner for my husband last night with good yelp friends. The food came out very fast couldn't even have time to take all the pictures. Certain foods were very tasty. Thanks to Paul C for ordering the food in Chinese language. It was very busy another bday celebration was in there as well. Good food and good friends makes the dinner worth while celebrating.

Was looking for good Chinese food on the island and found this place on a Reddit thread...was shocked to see a good Chinese spot with such high reviews. (In SF, the good places usually average 3.5 stars because of lackluster service...) But everyone who works here is SO nice. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner, and it was pretty empty but it seems like they get a lot of take out orders! They have a good amount of big round tables so it's hard to imagine this place full. But I hope they get that way sometimes! The spot has its own parking lot, and I think it's just outside of Chinatown(?) We ordered the XLB, chicken feet in black bean sauce, chicken and salted fish fried rice, salt and pepper pork chops, and beef/broccoli chow mein but Hong Kong style (crispy noodles). Everything was delicious but technically I might knock off a half star because I've had more flavorful chicken feet elsewhere...but it was still tasty! The XLB was really good, tasty soup, tasty pork, etc! Our other dishes were also really tasty. Not 100% sure but I think the cuisine is Cantonese style, which is one of my favorites. I'm spoiled because I get good Chinese food in SF, but I'd definitely come back to visit next time I'm on the island to try more dishes!

The first time I've visited Au's Garden Chinese Restaurant was to celebrate the birthday of a friend. They were easy to find and I was able to secure a large parking spot right in front of the restaurant. They do share parking with all the other businesses in the complex so it can get full during the lunch and dinner rush. The restaurant is larger than expected with lots of tables to accommodate small to large parties. To our surprise, the restaurant was mostly full on a regular weeknight. We ordered a feast and tried a lot of different dishes. Our order came out extremely fast and all the dishes all came out one after the other. This isn't typically the case which shocked all of us. It's a good surprise as we got to try everything at once versus one plate at a time. Service was better than expected as the staff kept coming around to refill water and hot tea. The food was good but the company was better. It was a great night to celebrate a friend and a positive first experience dining here.

Classic old school Hawaii Chinese restaurant! To preface I'm biased as my grandpa used to get us food from here from when I was little...I'm old now. Everything I've ordered has been good! From the lunch specials, to the Ala carte items. Nothings disappointed! The service doesn't exist. It's typical brash service, but if you come in expecting it, you'll be fine. They're prompt and semi friendly though! Overall a good place for classic local Chinese food at a good price!

Party of 13 for my mom's birthday dinner. Located in the back part of Diner's in Kalihi. Good size restaurant with lots of round tables. Got a Dinner Set for 10 and additional dishes to complete the meal (must have noodles). All very good, tasty dishes with salt/pepper pork, pan-fried string beans, and Xiao long bao (hard to find) being the standouts. We enjoyed the food... among the better ones from your standard neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Would come back.
