Aunty's Kalei's Shaved Ice is in a small strip mall behind Shell Gas in secluded Pacific Palisades. It is somewhat close to the top of the hill, so it's peaceful and quiet.She is so sweet and humble. Loves her little business! Great personable service.Triple Layer Shave Ice Parfait: one scoop of ice cream, topped with your choice of shaved ice flavors, each layer topped with mochi balls, and condensed milk (4/5). We went with Lychee, Grape, & POG (in that order). The grape was in the middle which overpowered the POG. Nice, soft, pillowy shaved ice and the mochi balls were fresh and very soft!The prices were very reasonable!Support your local business!

We had traditional rainbow with IC and condensed milk; cherry blossom (watermelon/lychee) with IC and condensed milk; and cotton candy/strawberry with IC and condensed milk.Aunty Kalei is so sweet just like her shave ice. Clean environment and lowest prices around. Thanks Aunty for keeping it affordable (we all know prices everywhere is expensive to live in Hawaii). We order food from Palisades Drive Inn every so often...Aunty Kalei's is right next door but never tried here. A friend said she loves this place so we decided to give it a try after eating a small lunch.I ordered the Shave Ice Shake due to the recommendation of a customer in line. I chose banana with chocolate ice cream. Aunty Kalei blends the 3 scoops of ice cream, condensed milk and the banana syrup. She then pours it in a container with ice shavings and mixes it briskly with a long spoon and pours it in a bowl with a spoon and straw on the side. I thought it was good and super cold...brain freeze! I think I want to try the Shave Ice Soda Slush Float next.My husband wanted the "Sunshine Love" listed under Two Flavors. He said the ice wasn't as fine as other places but it was good.I read some Yelp reviews regarding the long wait. I was lucky because there wasn't a line so waited about 5 minutes. Aunty Kalei's was very nice and friendly...thumbs up!FYI...CASH ONLY

Tucked away in Pacific Palisades is a shave ice shop that serves delicious treats and lots of aloha! I just came here for the first time a few weeks ago with my mom and toddler boys since we wanted to get a cool afternoon treat. The shop is really cute but small...not too much room to wait. There is a good variety of items in the menu. Aunty Kalei was so friendly and helpful with our order! She even put all of our shave ice and the shave ice float in to go containers so we could enjoy it at home. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. We will definitely be back to get our shave ice fix!Happy eating!
