Aroma Italia first timer! Diamond Head is a bit out of the way for me, but it was well worth the drive out. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. My friends and I went to Aroma Italia on a Sunday night - we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was pretty busy with two large groups. They were still able to squeeze us in by putting two outdoor tables together, and we were eventually able to move inside once the restaurant cleared out.Overall, my impression of this place was really good. The servers were friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food was impressive. My bf and I shared garlic bread, a large pizza and pasta. We had a few slices of leftover pizza because the portions are really generous (especially for the large size pizza). I couldn't choose whether I liked the pizza or pasta more, they were both equally good! Only criticism is the parking is always difficult on Monserrat. Hope to get lucky like we did in the small lot in front or street parking.

Came here for the first time and was disappointed. Ordered the lasagna- the lasagna pasta was TOO THICK and the sauce was bland. Also, didn't see any ricotta cheese in the middle. We ordered the mediterranen salad which was good except salad had black olives and not kalamata olives.I do have to say the service was exceptional. Cam was outstanding.

Aroma Italia is a cute, quaint Italian restaurant inside the strip mall of Monsarat. This restaurant is BYOB so be sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine.I brought my boyfriend here for his first time a couple weeks ago and we were so impressed by how crowded it was around 6:30PM. We walked-in and was sat after five minutes of waiting, but seeing how crowded it can get, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation before coming in. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and ordered the salmon carbonara and linguine alle vongole. The meatballs were moist with lots of flavor and the garlic bread that came with is paired so well! The only complaint I have about this dish was that it was less than warm when we got it. I loved my salmon carbonara, I had it before and had to get it again. Very creamy with generous servings of salmon. My boyfriend ate all of his linguine, but he said it lacked flavor.Overall, Aroma Italia is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. There are a few tweaks to make, but we will definitely be returning.

My family and I was craving Italian food and wanted to check this place out from the positive reviews. We came at 7:00 and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, they only have a few tables inside. Make sure to make reservations if you don't want to wait! La Bomba Pizza ($31) - 8/10, I love the thin crust , and the burrata it came with, the only gripe was that the price is expensive for one pizza... Linguine chicken Alfredo ($22)- 6/10, not a big fan of the sauce and was not as reminiscent of Alfredo in my opinion. Not memorable. Portion was okay.Linguine meatballs ($22)- 7.5/10, the Marinara sauce was light and seemed more water down than the other marinara sauces I have tried. I really enjoyed the meatballs. Portion was okay. Tiramisu ($9) -9/10, I love tiramisu and this place was delicious for it. However, the mascarpone cream was frozen and not the creamy texture it should be. Overall, It's a decent Italian joint with good classics but I'm not sure if I would return again as it was on the more expensive side and portions were not that great. The parking here is also horrible as there's only a few slots shared by other establishments in this strip.

So yummy! While parking can be tough with limited spots in the lot at the front, it is possible to look for street parking. Beyond the parking, the restaurant itself is on the smaller side with some seating inside. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. We ordered the carbonara al salmone, Orechiette meatballs al sugo, and pesto parmigiano pizza. Everything was super tasty. We couldn't even wait to stop eating the pizza before the pasta came. The salmon pasta was especially yummy. This has quickly become one of my favorite Italian spots and we are excited to go back!

We ordered the lasagna and mozzarella pesto garlic bread for take out. Portion sizes were a little on the smaller side but not terrible, service for pick up was fantastic and the restaurant smelled heavenly... Looking forward to coming back here for another meal before leaving the island .

Monsarrat mo' betta den Mānoa After trying both Aroma Italia locations, I think of the Mānoa location as an express, and the Monsarrat location as the flagship. The Food:Really delicious - on the heavier side since I've been eating plant based for a while. It was a welcomed break to try their pizza and salads. The flavors were denser than what I'm used to, but quite pleasant. Service:Super chill and patient in providing recommendations. The salad and pizza recommended were worth the try. Ambiance:Brick-inspired decor gives a rustic feel without having to breathe in the dust like you would if this were in a condemned historic building in D.C.'s NW quadrant. Yeah, I'm looking at you, DuPont Circle! Parking:The Monsarrat lot is the real American Horror Story. It's tight and always full. Best to carpool or try your luck parking at the UH campus with the million-dollar views and walking for a mile (easier than finding neighborhood parking). Unique Features:What sets Aroma Italia apart is its dedication to fresh, handmade ingredients. Their pastas are crafted with care, their sauces are simmered to perfection, and their desserts will have you shouting, "Waaah-tastic!" They also have an excellent wine list and occasional live music nights, adding that extra power-up to your dining experience.Final Thoughts:Definitely worth putting into your rotation for takeout, especially if you don't live in town and service a household of eager retirees who enjoy novelties of Honolulu bites.

Stopped here after a trip to Manoa stream. The service was good but the pizza takes a bit to arrive. The family loved the gelato. And the pizza disappeared really quick as well.Overall a good option if you're down in Manoa and looking for a good slice and some dessert!

Amazing! Located near diamond head with a small lot in the front. Service was great and quick, food was high quality and delicious! Everything was great but the items I would definitely reorder is the gnocchi and the tiramisu. Very very flavorful with great texture. I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.
