Would give 0 stars if I could. This is just a couple of people working out of a condo. He didn't fix but broke the good parts of the unit that worked. He has an ok attitude when he understands a job but if he hasn't seen a unit (and he hasn't seen many we have on Island) he gets frustrated and angry. They just got here from the mainland to get their own shop. He couldn't get our ice maker back in and tried to use huge long screws instead of the smaller ones that were in it and they wouldn't go in-they hit the sidewall and the ice tray couldn't fit underneath. He bent some items so now we don't know if we can even get a new unit to work. Not good workmanship. We do not recommend them at all. Your appliance will be worse than when it started.

Beware! Do not use this company! The repair guy Gary charged my Mom $200, took the main control board of our refrigerator and has not returned. Now they won't answer the phone. I would rate them a ZERO.Update: The owner was apologetic and attentive to a poor review. She emailed and called and sent a certified check to cover my Moms $200 loss due to her employees mistakes. I am thankful it has been resolved. We unfortunately had to buy a new refrigerator...

Wow! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!Unreliable, Untrustworthy, and Unbelievable!I was actually believing everything what Holly was telling me on Messenger cause I found her on Facebook! Well all the reviews seems about right if you ask me. Also it is weird that Holly is replying to the reviews. Let me tell you! these guys are a joke! Gary! Gary! Gary! Everyone is mentioning Gary. Well the Gary that I had experienced with, first he looked honorable but did not think that they would push it this far. If I new this was going to get ripped off I would have never call these guys out.I trusted this Gary to come into my "HOME" (where my family and valuables are) to fix my washer machine but instead I get ripped off. Gary said that the back bearing is off causing the tub to off set. Gary scheduled to repair my washer the next day between 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. I was excited for a while. Gary did not call me at all I had to call him. Gary answered the phone and said that the part did not come in but it will tomorrow, so he reschedule the next day 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. no call, no show. Did not even pick up my calls, there was a few times that he ignored my calls by letting it ring 3 times then goes straight to voicemail. Till this day no one called me back nor answers their phones.I wrote a personnel check ($200 deposit) out to a "Daniel Cooper" (Gary) and it was cashed in the same day 1 hour after Gary left my place. Gary does not answers the phone calls nor does the office.If you are experiencing this same situation I highly recommend you to contact Better Business Bureau immediately.I will contacting other Associations to watch out for this company!I manage a Condominium and would not want anyone to experience what I had experience at all. I have worked with various vendors and this is the first and last that will cross me.I better get my full refund back immediately!Do what is RIGHT!

It is somewhat "unfortunate" that the rating on this website goes only to 5 stars. The customer service and professionalism I received from Appliance Repair Oahu (Gary) goes way beyond 5 stars. I have dealt with a number of service companies servicing washers, dryers and refrigerators. After experiencing the service I received from this company, I immediately felt compelled to write this review. I understand that quality, competent and professional customer service is essential to a successful business. I feel that this business will be here for many years to come. I've come across many service personnel in my lifetime and this company tops it all. My sincerest ALOHA goes to the person who hired him. I want express how much I appreciate the excellent service I received from this company. Gary paid attention to detail of work being done, he has great communication skills in explaining what the problem was, and most important, his cheerful and positive attitude made the experience even better than I expected. I won't hesitate to refer future clients to this establishment.

It's disguised as a big company with a beautifully done website that makes it look like they have many experienced repair men. Appliance Repair Oahu is a sham...a wolf in sheep's clothing...a one man show with his wife who are just out to scam and take, and trust me...you never want to deal with them.The VIKING repairman that my real estate management company usually uses was on vacation. My freezer was thawing out and they wanted it fixed before all my food was spoiled. They went online and found this company that had a really good and professional profile and called them. The woman who took the call said that a guy named Gary would call them back. He did and said he knew exactly what the problem was and the parts and labor were just under $1400. Seems like a lot but it is a custom VIKING refrigerator he said and a very rare model. They took the bait and the guy was sent to do the repair.He worked for one hour, replaced two tiny parts that must have cost a few hundred at the most and left. The next day the ice make broke and the freezer started thawing out again. He came back, spent a half hour and left. It worked for one day and the entire thing broke again. When the management company attempted to call, no answer. I called, sent emails and texted Gary, and to this day he has not responded to any of us. HE TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN!!!When the REAL VIKING repairman came back he said that was a $1000 overcharge and nothing was done right and the proof is that it was NEVER repaired! This company is a total scam and in talking to others, I realize that this is their way...take the money and run and leave people stranded and desperate. No one deserves to get deliberately scammed...NEVER USE THIS COMPANY...BUYER BEWARE!!!NOTE: Anyone who posts a good review on this company is either getting paid they are in on the scam! Very satisfied with their service. I was able to get a same day service. I called in and spoke with Michelle. She was prompt in answering the phone. She was professional and polite. Paul the repair technician went out to the location within 1/2 hour. He assessed and completed the repair within 30 minutes. I would definitely use them again. Fast, efficient and courteous!

This company took payment of $200 for a refrigerator repair, took a part from the refrigerator left and said they would be back with the replacement part... and never returned. My comments are: Dear Appliance Repair Oahu...how do you sleep at night when you take $200 from people in their late 80's on a fixed income! You have an opportunity to make this right. DO IT!

This company is very unreliable I made a appointment he said between 2-4 he didn't call that he couldn't make it between 2-4 so I tried calling no answer then he called back 6:20 and made a excuses said the phone company mess up his phone and he couldn't receive calls he still could of call and let me know he was gonna be late.Then he said he could come down in half a hour then he didn't show up AGAIN or even call to let me know .. Then he finally show up at 8:20 so I told him forget it you wasted my whole day !! Very Unprofessional and Unreliable and Inconsiderate!!

Second review.... writing based on updated information posted.We hired the company a while ago. Gary seemed nice, knowledgeable and fair. Long story short (see first review), he took our $1,350. He insisted the check be written directly to him, since he claimed he was the owner... He never fixed our mixer, and later told us that he was no longer with the company.The latest review I see here - Gary - in February - 'helped' a gentleman with some work. Additionally - the legal names listed as owner, has Gary's last name as well.He won't return calls, texts or emails (did once, telling me to back off). We're now looking into pressing charges, as well as filing a claim (there are many of them) with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Keep an eye out. In between his work with us, and now - Gary opened another company. That company has gotten poor reviews as well.How are they still in business?

If I could give negative stars, I would. These folks are not professionals.My oven was not working. Initially, Appliance Repair Oahu seemed ok - they diagnosed problem and repaired it. But then they realized that there was also an electrical issue. They probably should have seen that right away but I was ok at this point. They replaced oven control board - 3 month guarantee on parts and labor.I found that oven would only remain on for about 45 minutes. They came back and said it must be temperature probe and they would need to research. One week later and no response! Another week and I get a reply - we schedule a time for them to finish repair and no one shows up!Many many calls and emails later, I still can't get in touch with them. I found someone else who diagnosed the new problem as the fan - fixed it and now I'm cooking again.Stay away!
