While visiting Waikiki, I heard about Apetito on the news in the morning and decided to check it out--and I'm so glad I did! This place is a hidden gem.They have a fantastic happy hour menu from 3 to 6 p.m., offering a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and appetizers. We tried the shishito peppers, hummus, and the purple gnocchi (so delicious!), oh and the meatball' omg my favorite as well as the margherita pizza. Everything was absolutely amazing--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.A big shoutout to our server, Manala, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and always smiling. She really added to the experience and made us feel so welcomed.The atmosphere is also a highlight, with lovely outdoor seating that adds to the relaxing vibe. If you're in Waikiki, I highly recommend stopping by Apetito. It's a perfect spot for great food, drinks, and an all-around wonderful dining experience!

The spicy meatball appetizer does not disappoint. That said, even with the bit of heat in the tomato curry sauce, it was slightly leaned to the sweet side which took it down a small notch. I couldn't help but think that this Italian themed restaurant probably could do without the curry.I love anchovy pizzas. The Boquerones was okay. I say this because theirs is essentially a Margherita pie with white anchovy filets and red bell peppers. The combination of the subpar tomatoes and the red bell peppers made the top end way too watery. The red bells don't contribute much to the flavor, so they would be better if they just didn't use them. I think some sporadic thinly sliced red jalapeño's would've been better.However, the crust itself was superb. The chew, texture and salt were perfect. Unfortunately, these attributes were nullified by the watery topping.Had it not been for the wateriness and low flavor tomatoes, I would've rated 4 stars. The service wasn't above and beyond, but it was satisfactory and friendly.

Walked by this place so many times that we finally decided to give it a try. After reading some reviews and asking for recommendations, we ordered the following (Note: all dishes were served family style):1) Portobello fries - Perfectly seasoned and a good starter. 2) Beef carpaccio - The beef was very soft and buttery and I liked the dressing. 3) Funghi pizza - Hubs liked this one. Thin crust. 4) Truffle Alfredo - Creamy and the pasta was al dente. Subtle truffle flavor. 5) Lemon chicken - It was half a chicken served atop roasted potatoes with the lemon sauce on the side. The skin was crispy and the meat was moist. Good with that sauce. The dishes were enjoyable. We were too full to try their desserts. Glad we were able to finally give them a try.

This place is so cute. Such a great vibe and delicious food. And let me tell you the lemon chicken is not only fabulous, the portion is HUGE! It's basically a half of a chicken! It came with this yummy lemon butter caper sauce, but it didn't need it bc the flavor of the chicken was good all by itself and oh so juicy. It also came with a huge serving of potatoes. I think 2 could share and possibly still have leftovers. My friend had the margherita pizza with the gluten free crust and she said it was delicious.The staff were great, the music was great. I will definitely be back.

For years I have wanted to try this place and finally had an opportunity too. Appetito is upbeat likely restaurant down in Waikiki right off of Kuhio Ave. I popped in one evening for dinner and had their steak fries. The steak was perfectly cooked to my medium-rare preferred temp. It was flavorful and tender. Paired with fried potatoes, I made for a nice meal. I sad that I could not finish it. Instead of my regular mixed cocktail, I tried their espresso Martini. It was great. I had others at the bar drinking this Martini before too long. The staff was great and the quality of food was superb. I will definitely visit here again.

We were able to get a table for a party of 6 pretty quickly, which may not always be the case. The service was on point! Our waiter had a great memory and was attentive without being overbearing. The food was seriously delicious! What we ordered:Portobello Fries (5/5) - such a great appetizer! We were surprised with how delicious it was with the sauce that was provided.Margherita Pizza with Arugula added (5/5) - This was a great pizza. I wouldn't say it was the best I've had, however, I did enjoy the flavor of the pizza. The crust was thin and crunchy. It tasted as if it was cooked on an open flame. I added arugula to the pizza, which paired really well with the sweetness on the tomato sauce. Perfect Ribeye (5/5) - The star of the night! Best ribeye that we have ever had! The meat was so tender and flavorful. Highly recommend this dish! Matcha Tiramisu (5/5) - We personally don't like matcha, but we would if it tasted like this tiramisu. So light, creamy and well balanced. It was a great way to end the meal.If you're in the Waikiki area, definitely give this place a try!

(Last visited 12/9/2022.) On vacation in Hawaii while still exploring downtown Waikiki, we decided to check out Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar! Yelp gave this place great reviews so we checked it out!Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is pretty chill and laid back. It's a split-level restaurant so the bar area is the lower level and the main dining room is elevated toward the back. The lights are low and dimly lit, the walls are like neat wooden panels and the floors are a smooth concrete. I'm assuming for humidity purposes, but it didn't take anything away from the aura.Service: Carly took care of us and she was really sweet. She was patient and we had everything that we needed.Food: We started off with the Sun Kissed cocktail. It was pretty weak to be honest and was like, warm even though it had ice in it. That means it wasn't shake up very well or was rushed to be put together. Our first appetizer were the Grilled Shishito Peppers. They were AMAZING and simply the best I've ever had. They were garlicky, savory and had a decent cheese balance. For our entree we went with the Italian Salami pizza (Italian salami, mozzarella and, cremini mushrooms and basil all on their house-made tomato sauce). It was good, not $22.00 good, but good. Saltiness of the salami took the place of the lack of cheese that was on it, but solid. Small portion and was left hungry.Value: Menu prices are wrong. Limoncello was listed at $14.00, but rang up at $15.00. We didn't bother with confrontation because they were closing at 9:30pm. I already mentioned the price of the pizza.This place was cool, but I may go elsewhere next time. There's just so much to see in Hawaii that I can't double-back on a restaurant! Lol. Check this place out if you're in the area.

Came for an after Cirque performance so just wanted something lite and drinks. Great spot close to performance. After being seated at upper bar area and greeted by server we're happy to be enjoying a nice chianti. We also ordered a margarita pizza to share. The pizza came cold after a long wait, very thin watery sauce and very difficult to cut. Needless to say it took even longer for glasses of water and the check.
