The folks at Ando have curated a wonderful space and even better matcha drinks. While their coffee is limited now, they plan to expand. The cafe is super bright and warm with a variety of indoor and outdoor seating. The baristas are so kind and friendly and expertly explained their methods and specialities. I got an iced matcha latte (semi-sweet), as that's what they said is their signature drink. It was super flavorful and had their Japan-sourced matcha featured front and center in the drink. Note that there's no tips. Shoutout for compostable cups too!!

The cutest little matcha cafe in Kailua! I'm always on the hunt for a good matcha spot (read: good aesthetics + better matcha than I can make at home). Pleased to report that Ando definitely meets the mark! Matcha quality of the matcha latte is so good -- rich umami flavor and not overpowered by the milk/not too watery.There's several milk options (oat, soy, whole) and other tea drinks on the menu. My friend and I lucked out in visiting during their Girl's Day weekend special and got to try the yummiest matcha monaka. We both agreed we could have eaten 5 more each Their space is so cute too -- the inside feels straight out of Japan and has a share table for 6. Plenty outdoor seating as well in an uncovered patio area amongst lots of plants, and also a few high top stools on the side of the cafe. Service was also good. Will definitely be back!

Heyyy Ando has 2 yelp pages and now the other one isn't searchable :( 3.5 stars / not bad. I came when they first opened about 2 months ago. It was a pretty small coffee menu with no foods, but hopefully they'll have food in the future. I don't know if you can park in the lot nearby, but since it was a Sunday I found street parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating available and they took over the spot of the old empty Elle. I liked how simple the decor was inside and outside was so cozy too. The service was amazing and she took her time explaining the menu since it was our first time.

This hot & new coffee and Matcha spot in Kailua has premium matcha and coffee -- with wine soon to be added. The aesthetics of this spot is top notch- mixing Japanese and Scandinavian design creating a very relaxing and upscale environment. There is a long communal table inside and a gorgeous outdoor space with ample seating. I almost had my boyfriend wait outside with our dog while I ordered our drinks, but the folks inside welcomed our fur baby with open arms --- giving him a dog treat! They keep the menu short and sweet here, which I appreciate! They don't have a laundry list of different flavors to sweeten your latte with -- just monk fruit for that little bit of sweetness. The focus here is on the quality matcha and the expertise of the barista. I ordered a matcha latte and got it in their reusable 3D printed cup which I can bring back for 10% off my order! And my boyfriend got their latte -- both had the perfect balance of earthy, creamy, and sweet. The price point here is on the higher side, but on par with other upscale coffee and matcha spots. I can't wait to come back for another matcha!

Ando had recently opened in Kailua, in the old Grace in Growler's spot (i think). Their matcha is imported from Japan, only the highest grade. It's best served with oat milk and their natural sweetener for the perfect balance of creamy and semi-sweet. Inspired by Tadao Ando, the minimalist, serene aesthetic makes it a great spot to relax, especially with the revived outdoor seating area. Lastly, the customer service is outstanding, thoughtful and detail-oriented. Definitely will return!

Best place to get premium matcha (and coffee) in Kailua, if not the island, but I know this could be subjective Lol. The friendly service from Megan was top notch and so was my semi sweet iced matcha latte with oat milk. What makes it over the top for me is the Japandi design aesthetic paired with the cool leading edge tech. I'm so happy Ando is in my hood. Thank you! Can't wait to bring my peeps to this place.

amazing service! the drinks are high quality and it's evident that the owners put lots of care into their products. one of the best matcha spots on o'ahu!
