Am Thai Kitchen

This is a definitely a first world problem. So I've been passing this place like all the time as I work downtown and I love Thai food. I haven't had pad se ew in a hot minute so why not here? What Am Thai Kitchen does is they take the noodles they have prepared in the front as part of the two or three choice option and then add ingredients and warm it up when you specifically order pad se ew or drunken noodle. I am totally down for this. But what I got was the base noodle with a mountain of chicken and no veggies. Now, isn't pad se ew supposed to have veggies? I'm not complaining about the absurd amount of chicken I got as chicken is way more expensive than veggies, but a green thing here or there would be nice. Like I said, this is a first world problem. Too much expensive protein, not enough cheap veggies. Anyways, the meal, despite having no veggies, was delicious and full of protein in a way I haven't seen in years from a place downtown. Maybe I have to ask for veggies next time? If you love your meat and dislike veggies, stop by here.

All right, the fact that I went back home to get my wallet and come back to try this guy's food and be spontaneous enough to sit down and try it, He walks up to me and tells me hey next time you order make sure it's for inside. I could have save myself the box so I told him you want me to leave? He insisted on me staying but it was already awkward and The fact that I spent $20 on the meal that I purchased, including this box and utensils is a part of food service! If you don't want no one sitting in your restaurant, put a sign up the same take out only. Very weird experience for my first time ever trying this guy's food I won't be coming back ever again. His wife gave me a drink With mint coming from their personal garden. Food safety practices you are not supposed to do that type of stuff you're supposed to get your produce from a license business not using your own household garden vegetables. Never coming back and the fact that he's always close and he puts that type of stress on his business wow.!!

It's been a minute since we wandered down this arcade. The Italian place was closed, so lunch buddy and I decided to try out this place. Didn't know what to order but just decided to try the 1 choice plate for $11.99. I chose rice as my starch and the red curry just to test waters as to how hot it was. I like spicy and but my body thinks either wise. Anywho, the curry was tasty and went well the rice and had a subtle kick, which is a good thing. I was a little disappointed with the portion for $11.99. I would have been better off ordering off of the ala carte and would have gotten more food for my buck. Not too many changes were done as in the seating area from the previous owner. The counter staff was nice.

Simple and easy quick Thai place to grab a bite to eat. If your in the downtown area go and give this place a try! Cost of my plate was $13.

I have 3 choices with noodles and Long rice stir fry w/ shrimp medium spicy. It is delicious. Flavor and spiciness is on point. The staff are also super nice and friendly. Will definitely go back to try the pad Thai and other stir fry on their menu.
