Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii...Yesterday, when I was having lunch with mom and her friend at Tango Contemporary Cafe, I saw the sign: "always a.line". It was across Queen Street at the South Shore Market. I was so excited that I visited the very next day!South Shore Market is kind of a bougie place. There are some boutique shops, T.J. Maxx, a few restaurants, a convenient restroom, pleasant air conditioning, and a free covered parking structure!always a.line fits right in, with its locally designed and made women's clothing. I know about this brand because I used to get emails for their factory sales. The dresses, tops, jackets, and pants are comfortable, made with quality fabrics, and have classic styles. Sometimes, this clothing line can be found at Macy's.Today, I zoomed in on the Clearance section and found a dress for $25! (I think the regular price may be $78.) There was a flaw in the print which is hardly noticeable! What a deal!!!Service was great! I was greeted right away. When I was checking out, I was invited to join the Rewards Program. My point status was sent to me by email immediately!I think I should return every month and look for more bargains!

Always love to support small and local, Always a Line is that and so much more!Located in South Shore Market in Ward Village Always a Line is a super cute and vibrant boutique that's filled with comfort to wear and accessorize it feels like they bring in products I've visualize inside my head. All clothing are for women and are designed and made locally here in Hawai'i is just mind-blowing, everything from tanks to jackets, tops to dress all in beautiful unique designs.I've found several pieces in the clearance section that are super affordable and noticed they also have a section filled by local biz including teas, candles and even items from Kris Hawaii which I looooove! What I absolutely admire about Always a Line is there's also a plaque with the biz name right beside their products on it that describes the store behind the biz...so selfless and just kind and generous of them!Small supporting small is a huge thing and there's absolutely nothing more beautiful than that...the line here is stunning and filled with love!Thank you!

Browsing around Ward Village Shops' South Shore Market, I found local designer Lynn Sakutori's stand-alone boutique. I've seen and admired her basic styles that focus on the petite woman exclusively at our local Macy's Department Store. Yeah... I'm short, standing only 5'2" and maybe having shrunk in height while expanding width-wise. Geez, thanks to aging, I've found a line of clothing that can hide a multitude of heavy dining sessions. LOL. Always a.Line boutique is located at South Shore Market's East entrance across from Off The Wall Craft Beer & Wine. Anyway, Lynn Sakutori's Always a.line is a petite women's label that is well-constructed basics made from thick knit fabric that's easy-to-care-for AKA machine washable, doesn't wear out, fade or pull. Because the styles are essential, you can mix and match pieces for casual to work or resort casual. The pieces come in solid colors or prints featuring a striking palette of blues, purples, greens, and corals mixed with black. Their colors and styles make it a snap to mix and match. Basic styles never go out of style like trends. I can wear Always a.Line basics or essentials to get me out of wearing my "senior uniform" daily, whether I dress them up with accessories or not. Her prices are reasonable for the fabric quality and long-lasting wearability. The sales representative at this boutique is helpful and friendly which makes the shopping experience even more attractive to me.

I love their clothes. Every time my friends come to visit me from the mainland, I bring them to Always A-line to shop. They always buy something. Their clothes are so cute and comfy and also compliment every figure. They also make great travel wear, no ironing needed.

This was the first time I stepped foot into this store. It was a bit hard to find in South Shore Market (it was at the very end of a hallway). I thought the clothing was quite expensive considering the simple styles and fabrics. A short-sleeve top was $74. Didn't look like there was a sale of any kind, so have to pay full price. The worst part of shopping in this store were the rude salesclerks. There were three of them standing around the cash register not doing much. When I entered the store, they saw me but didn't acknowledge me at all. No "Hi, welcome!" (Geez, would it kill you to say "hi"?) I walked around the store, looking thru the racks, and passed in front of the cash register where they were standing. Not a word. No "Can I help you find something?" or "Let us know if you have any questions." Nothing. I felt invisible. Talk about customer service...or the lack of it. Obviously they don't want/need my business, so that was the first and last time I'll be stepping foot into that store.
