Aloha Sushi

Had an amazing experience with a take out order. Staff were very nice and they made my hand roll order fresh. All of the hand rolls were delicious! I got the unagi, ume and cucumber, ikura, tuna, spam and shrimp tempura. Perfect for a picnic or a great plane snack. The rice was a highlight and even held up in the refrigerator over night!

Excellent sushi for a quick fresh tasty bite!It's my favorite take out sushi. My favs are ikura, unagi,spicy ahi,and salmon skin!They are always fresh, onolicious and filled with ingredients with not too much rice which is the way I like my sushi. I also ask for wasabi inside and they put just enough! Too bad I scarfed them down before taking pics. Hopefully I'll remember next time.Also the people taking the orders are efficient and the lady making the orders is very gracious no matter how busy they are.The place is neat and clean.

So I had a Kaiser appointment that I was pretty early for and stopped at Aloha Sushi to get lunch because it's right across the street. I couldn't really find a menu other than one that looked like an old take out menu taped to the side wall. I ordered a dynamite roll. The 4 counter seats inside were occupied, so I ate in my car. I've had better.... I particularly like Kapahulu Kozo for take out sushi. Aloha Sushi just doesn't compare to the quality I've gotten used to at Kozo. I didn't really like the sauce...overall it was just okay for me. It was also $14 for a roll. I like that they offer half roll options, but I don't think I'd be back, unfortunately. Not sure where I would park if I came back anyway since street parking is a little tight.

It is 2024 and this aloha sushi compared to the other ones still has the best shrimp tempura on the island

Best sushi in town. Small mom and pop store, everything made to order with only the freshest ingredients. Reasonably priced and friendly service. I have ordered the party platters for parties and it's always a favorite.

Incredibly fresh tasting and the best mouth feel of any casual sushi I've had here on island. Has that classic sushi rice smell as well, that I never get with the big chains - I think it's the quality of rice and vinegar they use... one of the best smells when it comes to food. IYKYK. So fast and convenient when I'm in a rush. I LOVE this spot and the kind employees.

The appearance was great, my ahi nigiri looked spectacular when I first opened up my food. Unfortunately the flavor was not exactly what I was expecting. I asked for no onions in my udon and the udon tasted straight like onions and also had a few white and green onions in there, no big deal though I just ate around them. Honestly I wouldn't have cared that the udon wasn't the best if the sushi was at least decent. The spicy ahi nigiri looked amazing and I really thought that I wasn't even going to need any sauce with it. But the taste of the ahi, along with the spice and flavors from the sauce that it looked covered in was just lacking. The only thing that was mediocre or even a little enjoyable was the California roll. I am most likely not going to return again unless some changes are made to the food quality.

Poor quality. I could've went to 7Eleven for this level and spent half as much. Chicken Katsudon was the frozen breaded chicken tenderloin with Katsu sauce on it!!!! Gyoza was the premade frozen style deep fried. Only thing that was decent was the blended melon bobba drink that my daughter ordered.
