Having serious health issues at 75, I have been proactively searching for ways to help myself move forward with positivity, and joy for life. My time at APT has been a great step in the right direction. While I am stepping away for a bit, I plan to utilize its services again at some point in the near future. And Candace, the owner, has been extremely compassionate in her encouragement of my health journey.The gym is equipped with a mind-boggling array of machines and more, not to mention the number of professional trainers. Kade was exceedingly considerate of my limitations, while also pushing me to my max. He really helped boost my self-confidence and desire to succeed every week. A real plus in my health journey. The laughter we shared each week also contributed to uplifting my spirits. A win-win in my book! I highly recommend Aloha Personal Training for its excellent training and for the compassion shown by Candace in helping me navigate my own health issues. I used to go to "Crossfit" type of gyms but ended up with injuries from having classes with only one or two trainers looking over 12+ people at a time that could not concentrate on everybody's form at the same time. I started with Aloha Personal Training in 2017 with the goal to get a one-on-one trainer, get in shape and get stronger. I had no idea that I would do anything crazy with the new confidence they gave me, but I just completed the 2,197 mile Appalachian Trail in one push at age 60. One in four complete the attempt, and Candace, Jon, and team are all part of this success. I couldn't have done it without them.

I've been working with Candace since February of this year. After searching around for a trainer, I came for a consultation and signed up on the spot. Although I've gone to fitness classes sporadically and walk several times a week, I knew that I needed some strength training.,I go for weekly sessions and Candace is good at pointing out different ways to correct my form. She also pushes me to do a little more, try a little harder. I know that I'd never do this on my own. The gym is in a strip mall behind Hawaii Kai Costco. They have it set up so there are stations. Sometimes, another trainer will be working with another person, but other than that, there are no other people working out. After using a mat or piece of equipment, you always wipe it down. I appreciate the care they take in their gym.

So glad I invested in myself and personal training here.I came here after retiring from the Army to actually 're-learn' how to work out. I have a few injuries, and learning how to work out properly and safely was high on my list of priorities for maintaining my health.My intake was great. The owner, I believe, interviewed me. He was very thorough and just as concerned about my priorities as I was when it came to working out and getting back at it after I was cleared by my doctors.I was nervous after taking nearly a year off, but this has been a wonderful experience. My trainer is Enzo, and I couldn't have been paired with a better person. He pushes me to work hard and he's very motivating, but makes sure he's training me cautiously and safely. Shout out to Enzo. I'm always nervous to go train, but every workout here has been professional and well worth it. I'm getting stronger with each workout and am pleased that I didn't sign up for a gym membership elsewhere and attempt to do this on my own.This place is clean, has a professional vibe, and all of the trainers I've met are pretty nice with great personalities and good vibes. Thanks for everything, Aloha Personal Training. I give them my highest recommendation.

One of the best things I've ever done is sign up with Aloha Personal Training (APT).The best thing Aloha Personal Training did for me was to assign Patrick Shimoko as my personal trainer.I'm 81 years old, far from slim and I don't wear Spandex. I was seriously impressed with the "whole person" philosophy of APT whose website shows people of all ages and shapes. There is no discrimination or bias here. We all smile and acknowledge that we're here for a reason, to be better, healthier, stronger and happier.Patrick likes us older folk. In fact, he's a trained senior fitness specialist. It doesn't hurt that he holds a BS in Psychology either! He understands how to work with weak muscles, replaced body parts, all the foibles of the elderly but young at heart. He is a master of positivity and patience. Now, two of my friends work with Patrick. Needless to say, they are just as impressed with Patrick's expertise as I am.

Been training w Jon for years and he always pushes me to another level. Started with him to learn proper Crossfit techniques with olympic lifting which has been hugely beneficial and something that continues to be improved upon. He also helped me to get my first ring muscle up. He and Candice are at the top of their game, they're great with athletes and those just looking to improve general health and fitness. Is the cost worth it? Absolutely - 100%, try them out for a few sessions and see for yourself. You'll never want to quit after you start seeing the benefits and results - plus you'll just feel amazing. Know your goals upfront and let them know what you are hoping to achieve so that a workout can be tailored to your results. If you are looking for a personal trainer, and are on the fence - look no further, APT is amazing.

Having put on the COVID 19 pounds (or at least that's what it felt like), my husband and I sought out Jon's assistance to help us lose some of that quarantine weight and get stronger and healthier in the process.Jon began by getting us into a new diet and workout regimen. Don't worry, there has been no calorie counting but we did have to take a hard look at our diet and start making solid changes (eat more vegetables!). We workout with Jon once a week and then have "homework" workouts three more times. The workouts are tough but effective. Even my teenage daughter noticed a change in how I looked! #winningSo, here's a #thankyouthursday shout out to Aloha Personal Training for getting us back in shape!

My son is 13 and Jensen is his personal trainer there. He has helped him so much. I would highly recommend Jensen...and the whole team there. They know so much and how to tailor to each persons to there own training and diet plan. Big Mahalo!

I have started my personal training with Candace in December 2012 for health and good-shape purposes. In 2013, I had my Dexa Bone Density exam for osteoporosis, and my T-score of Lumbar Spine is "minus 3.0" which is very bad. My doctor suggested me to take medication which I told him that I didn't want any. I informed him that I had just started strength training with a personal trainer, which he said I could give it a try. So I continued my strength training with Candace. Since then, my bone density exam results have shown good improvement every two years. Now my T-score of Lumbar Spine has improved to "minus 2.8". My doctor commented that usually the bone density would be getting worse when people are getting older; and with my recent bone density results, this has proved that the strength training is right for me! I am 68 going to be 69 in August. Before I couldn't lift 3-lb dumbbell, now I can lift 17.5-lb dumbbell. I was 108 pounds before, and now I am 104 pounds. I am healthier, better-shaped, and more toned. Although I don't have big income, I prefer paying to a personal trainer to get good health and shape than paying to a care-home after you become feeble and then disabled.Both Candace and Jon are very good personal trainers as they have excellent expertise to "tailor-made" training sessions for each individuals, and they also care for good nutrition for their clients. I highly recommend personal training with both Jon and Candace.

Patrick Shimoko is an amazing personal trainer. I never thought when I joined Aloha Personal Training that I would find a trainer who designed a program specifically for my age group. Patrick worked out a schedule specifically for my needs. I feel so much better already and I'm sure that working with Patrick, I will change my life for the better.
