Aloha Island Mart

Running on fumes...Not me for a change but my ride as it takes me to places that it never asked for but am so grateful for it hanging in there along with me.This day is no different and as I'm in Hawaii Kai Towne Center location and not familiar when it comes to a gas station just didn't want to risk the time and effort for a search took this Aloha as I see many do as well.With lots of pumps though didn't see any air or vacuum stations they do have a mini mart that I didn't enter as i just needed gas did notice that they do have a bit dated and sad looking squeegee and touch up trash can which is still not many stations have and is good to know when the windows need a bit of love.Honestly don't know anything else about this location but was definitely a convenient for gas and various items and is basically clean and got me on my way.Thank you!

Ive been into this location quite a few times and usually had no issues. I asked the store clerk if I could use the restroom when I entered the store and she quicky responded with "Restrooms are for customers Only"As I was intending on making a purchase I asked do I have to buy something first before using the restroom. I was pretty taken back by this and reported the incident to the corporate office. A few weeks later I went back in the store again and had the same issue with the same girl that was working about the restroom and this time I encountered some attitude to go along with it. If you are going to hire customer service people to run your store, make sure you give them a lesson in people skills.

Has the worlds slowest gas pump, BUT the handle has the clip so you don't have to hold it while you fill up. They are also in the running for the most beat up windshield washers. Seriously worth checking out. It was pretty funny trying to clean my window. Solid 3 stars, I would add a half star if I could just for the entertainment.

I'm so glad that Aloha Island Mart opened up. I was so sad when the old gas station that was once there left. I would drive by everyday just watching the progress of the building, secretly hoping that it was gonna be another gas station. Soon I began to see the mart and then the gas sign went up. I was so excited to come back.This Aloha is so convenient. When they were under construction, I had to go to the one in Koko Marina or the one right outside of Koko Marina, across from the Hawaii Kai church. Those are okay but sometimes I have to go to the store and this gas station is right on the way.Like tonight was a perfect example. I had to go to Safeway to pick up some ingredients for split pea soup I'm gonna make. And I also had no gas, so since Aloha is just a little past Safeway, I just went to Aloha first and then Safeway. It's great. I guess it really wouldn't be an issue if we had more than one grocery store in Hawaii Kai. Their mart is huge if you've never been inside. I haven't actually bought anything in there but if your ever on the way to the beach or just looking for a snack, there's a lot of variety there.

WHAT??? No Dunkin Donuts? I have waited patiently for this gas station to open and I could almost taste the glazed goodness. But when I asked the staff where the donuts were....they just said they had regular donuts, not Dunkin....even though there is a large "Dunkin Donuts" sign inside...so sad. The inside of the Island Mart is clean and everything is easy to find. I will stop here for gas, but I will have to go elsewhere for donuts...

Wow, stopped by this morning to get gas & was pleasantly surprised to see Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts sold here!Hooray!!! Husband is from Boston & loves Dunkin Donuts!!! He swears the coffee is better than Starbucks. And where can you get Jelly Donuts??Since we live in Aina Haina, we never get a chance to visit the Dunkin at the airport or in Kapolei. Thank goodness they have it here!Will have ro remember everytime we fill up on Gas, to get our Dunkin Donuts coffee & donut fix!Thank you Aloha Mart! Plus this one is brand new so it is so clean & spotless!!!

I stopped by here for the first time and it's really nice! The store is spacious and has a wide variety of items. Some things that caught my eye: the beer cave (which is pretty fancy for a convenience store to have), a f'real machine, and the wide selection of grab and go items. I was surprised that they even had a selection of Asian snacks big enough to match 7-11's. Their pre-packaged milk tea is provided by teapresso. I tried the black milk tea, which was really good considering it had been sitting for a while. The volcano spam musubi was also yummy.The cashier was very friendly and nice. I'd definitely come here again!

(Review 2 of 2020)We come here for the cheap gas. It's easy to get in & out of. Not quite the "super easy" kind of in & out, but easy enough. Set up of the pumps & parking for the store is a wee bit tight. There is enough room for big trucks at any of the pumps. I believe there are diesel pumps, but not sure which ones they are. I haven't been inside, but you can't miss the Dunkin Donuts sign for donuts & coffee. They're the typical convenience store with what looks like the typical stuff inside. One of these days I'll check em out inside & let you know.A Hui Hou!

Hawai'i Kai residents have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this gas station, which was formerly a Tesoro. They offer the usual convenience store snacks and food, including bento boxes. I didn't try any so I can't speak to the quality of the food but I have to say I wasn't tempted by any of the offerings.The cashier was friendly and apologized for the Inconvenience of having to come into the store to pay for gas since the pump was having trouble accepting credit cards (they just opened a week ago). The price for regular was comparable to my usual go-to Hele station, which is also in Hawai'i Kai but if I was had the munchies I would probably go there instead. Weirdly enough, the cleanliness and newness of this place gave it a very sterile vibe - like you could be anywhere in the mainland.With 4 gas stations to choose from in close proximity in Hawai'i Kai, it's gonna be like your neighborhood bar - you go where you feel most comfortable. This one would be my number 2 pick.
