Aloha Hotdog and Banh Mi

Aloha Hot Dog and Banh Mi is a new quick bites location in the lower level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. I had their sandwich (banh mi) last week and it was perfect! The light crispiness of the french bread without hard edges and the soft fluffy inside soaking up the delicious combination of meats and pickled vegetables. It really was a good moment in time!I am writing this review a week late because I ordered one of their specialty Vietnamese coffees at 5p yesterday and it too was absolutely incredible! I tried to sip it but I couldn't stop myself from finishing the whole cup off in under a minute. So. Damn. GOOD! Anyway, I was up till 3am with crazy energy... Luckily I had a lot of paperwork to do and was not tired even at 3a! I am now awake about 8a and have a mellow morning because I finished so much last night. lol!So, if you want the best sandwich and legal amphetamine that tastes like candy (Vietnamese coffee) meet me at the Aloha Hot Dog and Banh Mi!

Basically it's among the many vendors in an Asian shopping center. It may be a small place but it's big on taste. Aloha Hotdog & Banh Mi has American and Vietnamese street food. Got something better than expected to be honest. The prices aren't good but they're okay for here at least. A better than expected small food vendor in this kind of shopping center full of things for Asians to eat and get. It's mostly here to cater to the Asians who frequent this. The menu has a lot of the classic favorites they get in Vietnam. Good way to get authentic flavors. There's a section of the menu for vegetarians. It's about $12 for the Veggie Salad. This is mixed greens with seitan or whatever meat substitute they have on this. Good flavors. There's many other places in here to choose from, and you may have to because this place closes early a lot it seems. Cool place as long as they're open because a few times they haven't. It's located in the underground shopping center in the Hyatt Centric on Seaside. The menu is mostly meaty but there's some things for vegetarians.

The twist made yumminess...Aloha Hotdog & Bahn Mi is located in the lower level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza the opposite side of Stix Asia though is connected across is much easier from the Royal Hawaiian Ave entrance. Already with neighbors like Royal Lobster and Waffle & Berry this part of the hood is looking quite uniquely their own. Love their menu selection of hotdog and bahn mi to make the whole crowd happy as I went with the BBQ Hotdog which doesn't sound like much but as it's loaded base is a massive Hawaiian bun which is a vessel that's able hold the massive load of toppings which includes bbq sauce and kimchi relish with a kick of sriracha this bite of a sweet roll with salty hotdog and spicy sauce kick has my tastebuds doing a happy dance.To pair my bite I decided on a Lemonade Decoco which a yummy tropical twist on the lemonade and for additional $1.50 enjoyed it in this festive cup which has a stopper at the straw opening making it a great storage as well when you have drinks left over without much spillage is nice.The service here is nice and friendly and the aesthetics of the storefront is so fun and cute and with some seating provided by the shopping center it's a great spot so relax and enjoy in a nice air conditioned spot.Thank you!

Stop in for a delicious lemonade! Highly recommend the mango and strawberry lemonades! They are a hit with the kids!

Food was really good. We ordered the beef and pork banh mi's. Employees were very kind.

A hidden gem at Waikiki Shopping Plaza. I stumbled upon this food vendor while looking for a quick lunch before heading to Hanauma Bay. The grilled beef banh mi is an absolute boom - I've been eating it two days in a row and still cant get enough! My husband tried the Aloha hotdog, recommended by the owner, paired with lemonade de coco. Everything was so good!

Hands down the one of the best banh mi sandwiches I have ever had. I am from Orange County so I've had my fair share of banh mi from different places and I can assure you this place is the best on the island. The ambiance is comfy and inviting and the service was excellent. If you live on the island or are on vacation and crave a banh mi, this is the place to go! Straight gas

Ate at this adorable shop with my family we all loved the food. I had the Kalua pork sandwich it was delicious. The ladies who work here are so sweet. Service was very quick.
