A German bakery in Hawaii? YES! But... I'm no expert though I have been to Germany a number of times having visited four major cities and the surrounding areas so I think I can say the pretzels here are uhhh, different. Overcooked, if not burnt with sweet spots here and there and processed cheese added for good measure. Yuck!!!What saves them are their cakes. Yes, they have tried to import and use ingredients from Germany, you can't get them all as such they fall slightly short of their authentic counterparts. That said, the carrot cake is excellent. Different from the American version, this one is moist but the cake crumbles when forked. The cream cheese frosting is excellent with the perfect amount of tartness and sour notes. Explosive carrot taste.The apple cake, delish albeit with the apples undercooked (half way between cooked and crunchy) by American taste. Straight up good eats with the right amount of tartness.Very friendly and helpful service.Something deferment and in this case, despite not being a resounding success, all good

Aloha German Bakery is brand new to the farmer's markets around Oahu! The owner, Tanya Koch, is a Native Hawaiian/German baker who wanted to bring the delicious goods of Germany to Hawaii. Follow them on IG, they are at various farmers market around the island. Go early, they sell out fast! We were immediately welcomed with a big smile and warm welcome from the owner herself.They have a few German dishes, pretzels, fresh bread, fresh jams, etc.My partner is German, and grew up eating various german dishes and desserts homemade from his grandma. Reported authentic and delicious food by the expert himself. He indeed found a piece of home here in Hawaii! Food: Delicious! +German Schnitzel Plate (schnitzel, greens, potato salad, and pretzel) +Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes with smoked salmon, sour cream, dill) - this was my personal favorite! + Regular Pretzel & Bacon Cheese Pretzel +Desserts: Apple crumble pie & berry layered cake A hearty meal to share with desserts and pretzels cost us around $50. I'm sure this is only the start of an amazing place! Wishing them all the success and happiness in their business. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

This place was amazing. The mango cake was next level for sure. The team/staff was amazingly friendly. Whenever I'm on the island I'm definitely going back. Wishing them nothing but success.

The service was great! They were so nice and explained all the different desserts they had out. We got the Apple crumble and it was delicious!! The apples were crispy and it wasn't too sweet either!
