After walking around some more at the swap meet, I found another beef chip place! This one was a lot more crowded and the little kids were very helpful! They left me try a variety of samples and I ended up getting the black pepper flavor. These bags were cheaper than their competitor nearby. I enjoyed this snack a lot! It was so delicious and flavorful. I would definitely buy from them again!

First time here , saw them on TV and YELP. They are located in Kapolei in a new building. Been in business for 15 years. Talking to the owner Rona, gave me the whole story how the business started. Still trying to set up the new business in the warehouse. 6000 sq feet. Call before you go down, most times Wednesday, Friday & Saturday there's going to farmers markets around the state to sell their products. Rona said they use all local beef to make the Jerky vs. competition. The owner Rona is a proud graduate from Punahou and her husband Pearl City High School. Give this place a try if you're in the Kapolei area. Aloha, Derek

On our way to Tanioka's, my eye caught a bright red flag waving outside advertising beef jerky chips. I just had to come in and see what they offered. When we walked in, we were greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He came out to explain the types of jerky and the "false crack" jerky was a silent spicy where it won't hit you till later. That was enough to scare me into not trying it lol. There was a wall of beef jerky chips. They also sell popcorn, local snacks, and shirts. There's a large selection of jerky and they have a new brisket jerky that looked really yummy. I went for safe options since I can't handle spicy. I got the paniolo ranch (he explained that his wife likes to crumble it and use it as a salad topping) and the garlic crunch (popular out of the non-spicy optionEach package of jerky is vacuumed sealed and comes with a huge piece of homemade jerky. Each beef jerky chip is $12.95. The brisket is $24 because it's double the weight of the chips. Buy 6 bags of jerky and get $1 off each bag. Located in a small shopping area with 7-11 and Tanioka's nearby, there is a small parking lot with rows of parking available, but some stalls are reserved for certain stores.

Met Randy today when we visited his shop in Waipahu thanks to a referral. This tall friendly man answered my questions about the popcorn that we had come for. They are $7 a bag. We picked up a few bags out of the variety of flavors. Those are located on the left wall as you enter.Next I had to check out his crispy beef jerky. He explained the difference in process of those made with brisket and all the many flavors plus contents based on weight of the packages up to $24+. He shared that his wife crumbles one of the flavors and adds it to her salad. How cool is that?I told him we'll be back.

OMG! The brisket jerky is the best! It's thinner than others so you don't have to fight with it. It's so easy to eat.So much flavor, I can't stop eating it! My favorite is the Buttery Toasted Onion. It's like eating a buttery steak with caramelized onions on top. Yummm! The Buttery Brisket, Lemon Pepper and Garlic, Salt and Pepper are so ono too!

We drove to Waipahu and stopped at the Aloha beef chip shop. Randy was very nice and pleasant and explained how the jerky is made from brisket, and which one his wife prefers to crush and put in her salad and all of the different jerky flavors that were available for purchase on the wall and all the goodies on the shelves. They even have jerky for dogs We purchased a couple of bags of beef chips and the jerky. They also sell coffee beans and popcorn. The spicy teriyaki aloha chip was very tasty but a bit too spicy. The jerky was very delicious. I liked the jerky chip over a regular jerky. Easier to eat because you don't really have to chew it much, just melts in your mouth.

The good: The couple there are friendly and will come and speak with you about how the chips are made. Large selections of goodies like gummies, cookies and popcorn. The beef chips are paper thin, delicious and are packaged very nicely. I like the garlic and pepper the best but there were tons of other flavors Easy to eat the whole bag. Idk how they make it soo thin and crispy. The bad: Lots of parking but close together. Don't like to park close to other cars. Might ding up my truck. The chips are little pricey but the owners explained to me the break down and I know it's hard to keep prices down. It's worth it to me. Overall it's a nice little place with AC and great beef chips. Better than others I've tasted at craft fairs.

Aloha I have been to their locations at the swap meet and the store in Waipahu. My experience between the two were horrific. I would just advise locals to not support their "local" business, as well as tourist. Their customer service is horrible. The bald man that works at the store is very rude and made weird comments. It is overpriced.. I had bought 2 bags of the teriyaki jerky and in one bag had hair in it. I'm not about to pay $13 for a bag of hair. Come here if you want rude service and filthy hair bags.
