Super friendly staff of locals. They'll help you get surfing even if it's your first time and you're a total beginner. The location is perfect and they have a huge selection of umbrellas, surfboards, and beach chairs.

The same momona Japanese older guy giving attitude again. I tried to give this business another try and they are so lazy.Yelling at me to bring the board back to the rack, instead of helping and speaking nicely. These SUP boards are either water logged or made of crappy materials, as they are way heavier than most SUPs(touring, racing, etc...).You sit around and don't do anything to help.

Came here for the Outrigger canoe trip. It was challenging to find someone who was willing to go out with our 3 year old. We called all over Oahu and it seemed as though most companies even though their websites would often claim "fun for all ages" would not allow a toddler on the canoe. ABS said on the phone that it would more than likely be okay but The Capitan would have the final say depending on weather and waves and such. We planned accordingly as the waves would be more advantageous later in the week. When we arrived The Capitan was willing and gave his okay. We had a blast. Rode in on 2 waves, the guys on the boat were welcoming and gave clear instructions. Hard work but a lot of fun. I highly recommend ABS!

I signed my son up for private surf lessons with James who was very patient and easy to work with. By then end of the 1st lesson my son was able to stand on the surfboard and ride a wave partially in. Overall, the lessons were great as was James, can't say enough about how likable and easy to work with that James was.

We were lucky to happen upon this spot on the beach. One of the best deals for an umbrella and two lounge chairs - $40.00It's sits right in front of the Westin and the beach cafe is directly behind you. Food service and restrooms available. Wow! What a great find. We were hoping to find a surf lesson for our six year old daughter but all of the ones with online booking were full. We found Aloha Beach Services and they were able to take her out right away for a one-on-one lesson. John John was her instructor and was great with her. Make sure to bring cash as they don't take cards. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at the Moana Surfrider Hotel and right between the Moana and Outrigger hotel is Beach hut called Aloha Beach Services. Nice group of people. Family run. We rented beach chairs, umbrellas and surf boards. We got 3 surfing lessons from them! Excellent! They really take their time and instruct you. Give you confidence. Especially Kealii (surf instructor)! Excellent! JonJon also! By my 3rd lesson, I was able to catch waves by myself! Overall excellent service! You should book directly through them instead of through the hotel. Will definitely go back and use them. Cash only (no CC) But they were able to charge it to my room at the Moana.

My daughter and I wanted to learn to surf while visiting the island. We chose Aloha Beach Services because they were located nearby our hotel and we knew this was the right place for us after meeting our instructor, Uncle Lumpy. We spent the first 10 minutes on the beach going through some basic safety instructions before we were guided onto the ocean. Lumpy was attentive in making sure my daughter and I were safe while teaching us how to surf. Didn't take long before both my daughter and I were able to stand up and ride the waves. We kept at it for the next hour before the lesson ended. The 90 minute lesson seemed short when we signed up but felt that was the perfect amount of time before getting too tired. Thank you Lumpy for the humor, surf instructions, and sharing your wisdom in life. We had a great time.

Whoa they have really jacked up the prices. Instead of $50/day for 2 chairs and an umbrella, that's now $85. Yikes. It's still worth it, and I like that they now offer half day or by the hour prices. That's practical. But I had to downgrade the stars because this is really really pricey now.The staff is still on top of things mostly, but... I did notice that young hot women can get away with a free hour or more on a chair and but everyone else is chased off within 5 minutes. Y'all should probably work on consistently applying your rules.
