Kinda hard to find it's against the wall but look next to the gym that opened up. Once you get inside there so many goodies, treats, and fresh fish! Ordered the garlic poke, along with the ginger a'u, and the ahi spread (for later). Let me tell you this is game changing. You won't find a duplicate to these recipes. Can't wait to try the other menu items. Gotta come early otherwise they sell out on a couple items. Definitely would recommend going to get your new fix for poke and some good snacks. Super friendly and knowledgeable for a first timer got to sample the fresh fish and the tasty mixes with it. Definitely coming back and it's something you gotta try! Btw the pics don't do justice.

TL;DRSolid spot for poke and other local eats!Spicy Creamy Garlic Ahi = ONO-----The Instagram algorithm got me again. I stumbled onto Ali'i's page during a random scrolling spree and was immediately drawn to the unique poke offerings and other tasty selections. Since it's conveniently located nearby in Old Stadium Square, I decided to check it out for lunch after a Friday morning workout.Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted by the staff and offered samples of their signature spicy creamy garlic ahi and another special that day (that I can't recall). I was planning on ordering the former no matter what, but I'm always game for free samples. I love that they offer them.In addition to a 1/2 pound of the garlic ahi, I also ordered a 1/2 pound of the wasabi ginger a'u and a poke yake onigiri. Everything was fantastic. The spicy creamy garlic ahi is truly a winner; if you're a texture person like me, you'll love the fried garlic chips and chili garlic combo with the creamy ahi. The a'u was also great, and the onigiri was perfectly grilled and adequately filled and sauced.Next time I visit I will definitely try some of their hot dishes and specials.

I drive by this place every day to go home but finally made an effort to stop in. Not much to look at - very small but clean and efficient. Friendly folks behind the counter and they had samples available but based on the reviews of fellow Yelpers, I grabbed a few items from the grab and go chiller and off and went. The fish was super fresh, everything was seasoned really well and the prices were great for such tasty product. In my mind, Foodland is good and reliable, but this place is better and I will be coming here from now on when I can make it.My favorite out of the things I tried was the spicy Hawaiian style. Looking forward to the next time I crave poke.

Came on a weekday afternoon with my gf and we were hungry and had just landed. The line was nonexistent probably because it was 1pm on a weekday. They had not sold out of poke yet. There are some tables outside to sit at but otherwise the interior is just the store. There are not a lot of seats. They have a wide variety of stuff available but my main priority was the poke. And it did not disappoint! The spicy cream ahi was mindblowing- garlic crunchies with the ahi was a perfect mix and frankly it was some of the best poke I've had. The spicy lomi was good but not on the same level as the spicy cream ahi.For sure I can recommend people going out of their way for this!

Honolulu Restaurant Week Meal #4Hidden spot located near Nui and across from Thai Issan 2 / Golden Eagle. Never noticed this place since I usually come during the evening when this place is closed. Plenty of parking unless you come during rush hour, then might be difficult. Unassuming spot with grab and go items like yaki onigiris, poke, musubis etc. They also have hot items available. Service was okay. There are a few tables to sit. Most people coming in for pickup. We waited almost 30 minutes for the meal so I recommend calling in if you're interested. We mainly came to try the restaurant week menu which consisted of 3 courses - ahi shu mai Saimin bowl, creamy ahi garlic poke bowl, and strawberry/lychee dessert. I also got a Spicy Poke Yaki Onigiri to try and it may have been my favorite item since it's grilled and has a nice added crunch on the outside. I would recommend the creamy ahi garlic - that was delicious! Sadly, I was not a fan personally of the saimin bowl - it lacked depth for me. The poke bowl was the best part of the meal, however the rice was a colder and hard.. not as enjoyable. Some veggies in the bowl were bitter which threw off the flavor for me. The dessert was not for me. I think there is room for improvement for this place, but glad I was able to try it out. I'd come back again to try other food though! Update when I can.

Late lunch/early dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii...I hadn't eaten a real meal all day. What came to mind was Ali'i Fish Market It was 20 minutes before closing at 3pm... and some items were HALF OFF! I got the Hamachi Kama (delicious) and Miso Butterfish (firm and tasty)... what great deals! In the refrigerator, I selected the Lychee Strawberry dessert (yummy), pickled ogo (sweet sour crunchiness), and Mari's Salad (with fresh citrus dressing)! Parking: free shared lot at Old Stadium Square Location: closer to the Young Street entrance... across from Golden EagleService: efficient and helpful Environment: tidy, cozy, and takeout onlyNote: there's a rewards system, so, I'll be back!

What happens when you take a highly experienced chef (Chef Robin Abad formerly of Orchids at the Halekulani) and let him loose on poke?Magic. Unexpected flavors, ingredients coming together at next level harmony. Multi dimensional flavors. This isn't your ordinary poke bowl shop.Spicy creamy garlic ahi poke. Nuff said. Fresh cubes of ahi, sweet onion, sulfurous green onion, ogo, and crispy fried garlic chips mixed with a creamy, not to heavy garlic aioli and drizzled with chili oil. Inhaled it! Serious runner up, spicy Hawaiian made spicy by fresh chili peppers perfectly seasoned with alaea salt and sweetened by sweet and green onions with just the right crunch of ogo. All grab and go ahi poke $9/ 1/2lb.Do not pass on the panko crusted fish cakes ($3/ea). Regardless how you get them topped, these are flavor bombs. Made from a mixture of fish including ahi and salmon, they are dense, moist and great eats. They do eclipse the basic ahi patty ($2.50/ea) but those are no slouch either in terms of flavor. Brushed with a sweet teriyaki sauce and sat atop a musubi ($4), a satisfying quick bite. Finally, the current special, misoyaki opah ($12). Outstanding and showcases the chef's thoughtfulness when it comes to blending ingredients. The miso flavor has completely penetrated the opah. While the marinating process has tightened up the protein and made it chewy, it is still plenty juicy with great flavor. It is sat on premium grade rice sprinkled with furikake, along side a watercress salad with a yuzu / yuzu kosho dressing that seeps into the rice boosting the entire enjoyment. No fee online ordering powered by Toast.Friendly counter service.Note: Address is on King Street but one way parking entrance is on Young Street. Can't wait to go back and try their inari bombs and more flavors of poke. New favorite poke spot found.

Ali'i Fish Market is located in a small strip mall with limited parking. The store is in an alleyway. They have a small seating area as you first enter the market. Once entering the market, you are visual bombarded with all the gourmet dishes before you. After much debate, we settled on the following...Sesame Garlic Fried Ahi Belly (4/5) - Battered and fried, then tossed in a sesame garlic soy sauce which was slightly salty but overall a flavorful dish.Spicy Creamy Garlic Ahi (#1 best seller). Flavorful, saucy, crunchy, and savory. But, you could really taste the freshness of the ahi.I wanted to get the Ginger Ahi (#2 best seller), but my wife doesn't care for ginger in general, so I went with the Ahi Limu (#3 best seller). Again, super fresh ahi perfectly seasoned with onions and limu.Ginger Poke Yaki Onigiri (4/5). Perfectly seasoned with a crunchy outside but soft and warm inside. This was very good!Spam Musubi (4/5). Flavored and Pan-fried and a good thick cut of spam so that you could really sink your teeth into.We will be back!

Blown away by the quality and taste of the food this place creates at such a reasonable price point! We'd ordered the ahi loco moco. The Ahi tastes like it was sous vide! Yes! And the gravy was light perfectly balanced. This dish is ! We were shocked on how good it is. So good! A must try! You can't go wrong with their poke and desserts too. Lychee strawberry cheesecake creation, chiefs kiss!

The first time I've heard of this spot was via IG advertisements of $10 or $13 per pound and honestly, those prices are a STEAL! But it brought up some skepticism of whether the poke would be fresh. It's located in the basement level on the west side of the Mo'ili'ili food plaza where Aloha Vietnamese Foods and L&L Hawaiian Barbecue are located on S King St. It's directly across of Fresh Bites Hawaii. There's a small parking lot in which finding a spot could be very difficult during rush lunch/dinner hours and weekends as there are many food establishments in this plaza. The first time I went, the poke was $16 per pound which was still a huge steal with the increasing prices of poke. But still wondering if they would be fresh... my mom and I came around 2:30pm, and they had already ran out the one thing I wanted: Ginger Ahi. SAAAD. They only had two left in the fridge which were the Truffle A'u w/ Black Cavier and Spicy Creamy Garlic Ahi. They had other ala carte flavors that were different from the pre-packed ones in the fridge (interesting). The ones in the fridge was one size only and that was only by 1 pound. I wanted a smaller size of the two flavors but that wasn't possible. We ended up getting both of them because the spicy creamy garlic ahi was their #1 popular and the truffle sounded very interesting to try. The real test is now: the freshness. And omg, they both were super fresh! For the price paid? I was shocked at how fresh the fish was even though they were pre-packaged. Both had sooo much flavor that I couldn't get enough of them, especially the spicy creamy garlic ahi. Flavor bombs! None of us have ever had a'u (marlin) as a poke so that was quite interesting experience (not bad but not a favorite fish for my entire family as it had a strong fishiness to it), but the flavor of the truffle and cavier, mmm, chef's kiss!I came back another (few) more times within the year whenever I came back to Hawaii because I loved the quality and flavor of the poke this place offered. The most recent time I came back, the poke by pound had a range of prices. Their most popular, Spicy Creamy Garlic Ahi, was $18 per pound while their half pound (now offered) of Smoked Shoyu Ahi w/ Lechon Chili Crunch was $13 per half pound and Spicy Yuzu Salmon was $12 per half pound. Very interesting. Maybe because these were their newer unique flavors? Regardless, still really cheap (and fresh) compared to other places LOL. I was excited to try the half pounds since they were flavors I've never seen and tried. The spicy creamy garlic ahi was still an all time favorite for me and my family. The last time we had it, it was quite salty but this time, it was perfect! Yum! The smoked shoyu ahi was really good - it had a hint of smokiness after each bite and surprisingly, wasn't overly salty with the shoyu and lechon chili crunch. I was a bit sad that we didn't get a full pound of it. The salmon yuzu was very very fresh, however, it lacked flavor. It was as if we were eating just the salmon sashimi in my opinion. But my grandma really liked it due to the lack of mayo and neutral flavor. Overall, one of my top favorite places for poke. I've only come for their poke and haven't tried anything else but will definitely be coming back for other things in the future! I noticed they do okazuya styled foods now as well.
