On the corner across the street heading makai from ASB building and CPB, this is a convenient place to pick up fried saimin, bentos or plate lunches. They also have breakfast, but I never have time to order from them.Steak fried Saimin Plate - 5 stars - for a really cheap price, I love their fried saimin with a few pieces of steak. Depending on the crowd, this plate comes out fast, and fills me up for lunch.Service - fast when no crowd, but sometimes can be 15 minutes if there's a line. Cashier is polite, more like a small family business.Credit cards are accepted, and social distancing is usually adhered to.

I'm honestly kind of annoyed right now as I'm writing this because I really had some decent expectations for this place since I usually see some traffic here. This spot is a small hole-in-wall close to Central Pacific Bank, and, despite working in the area for awhile, this was my first time eating here. There's a lot of food options in the area, and in my attempt to diversify, I thought "eh why not."Anyways, I ordered the large steak plate, which ran me about $12-$13, because I was hungry. I waited 6-7 minutes before I got my plate, nothing too crazy, and when I got it, I opened it up to add in some shoyu and sauces. And needless to say, I was a bit confused. I open the plate, and I see a small slap of steak slices, two small scoops of rice, and a mountain of salad. I look at the lady that gave me the plate, said, "this is the LARGE steak plate right," and she's like, "yeah, that's the large steak plate."It wasn't a large steak plate. A large chopped lettuce plate, maybe, but definitely not a large steak plate worth $12-13. Taste-wise, it's a 3 star at best. If you've had Blazin' Steaks, then you know what you're getting lol.I really can't be too mad/annoyed since I was the one that decided to be adventurous and try something new, but just a heads up to anyone else looking for lunch downtown. Either go somewhere else because downtown has an abundance of spots to hit up or be adventurous and order something else here.

3/12/2020 Wednesday @ 2:30pm purchasedI stopped Into this corner eatery on Alakea and King st. It's not far from Iolani Palace and it's next door to "Baker Dudes" which is next door to "Ma'ona Musbi" I had just came from a meeting with colleges at Iolani Palace which was why I bought my lunch here. I had been here before and it was a different plate I ordered. That was during a different meeting also. During the Christmas parade and a chicken Katsu plate... Today I ordered a Korean Kalbi plate with toss green only and no rice.... I still paid the price if I had ordered it with rice. The plates are huge! The Service is very quick and very fast they have one Cook in the kitchen who cooks very fast.I would have to say that when I finally had gotten my plate I carried it to my work cause I wasn't more than a 15min walk there... and my food was still hot. The thing that was perhaps a little bad was how tough it was to bite through the meat I then had to cut the rest of myMeal up first before consuming. It was still delicious.I'll go back o may not order the Kalbi cause it was tough to bite through.

Awesome place to get lunch. They are friendly and fast. When we have time to get out of the dungeon, this is where we come to for food.Very reasonable prices and good size servings. There's stools and a counter if you wish to eat there. Place gets a little crowded when it's lunch time. So plan your day. Also they do take phone orders. It's great as all you do is go in to pay and your food is ready.

Price is unbeatable n downtownarea. Had the loko moko taste of food 7 out of 10. Gravy hamma, Mac salad solid , Patty only 1 very small burnt boo. No parking, lots of choices, price is right, portions reasonable, recommended for the hard working budget guy to Vist often. Not a place for a lunch stop date may never get permanent status with may to be. Lots of other high end shops in the same establishment.

Food is ok and if it was good I'd post here and FB. Service is ok and people were not that friendly. It sits on the corner so should be busy but not. Food and prices opposite. Expensive and low quality. This is the only nearby place so I eat here.

Busy place but they know how to crank the food out. Steak was good and cut in thin slices. They could have added more shrimp to their combos.
