Central location next to Ala Moana Center [Honolulu HI]The hotel is in a desirable spot near Waikiki and downtown. The lobby is huge with a Starbucks lounge. There is a connecting bridge on the second floor to the world's largest open-air shopping mall, the Ala Moana Center.Registration was easy but the guy was a bit slow in checking us in. We booked through a 3rd party so we were told that our room would be on the "Airbnb side" of the hotel. What does this mean?? Well, they said that any " extras" we requested (like add'l towels, pillows, blankets and other stuff) will have to go through where we booked (3rd party company). Okaaaaay... luckily, we're not fussy people and most of our days were spent out exploring... and eating シBasic amenities included small fridge, microwave oven, and a flatscreen TV. Free WiFi. We had a queen size bed in our room. The bed was comfortable. The room is small, though, and hubby and I aren't big people. I do like the water pressure in the shower and a good shower always feels good before hopping in bed. Parking is $39/day which we paid ahead during check-in. The hotel is 100% non-smoking. We might consider staying here again since the location is walking distance to everything in downtown Honolulu.3.5 StarsReview #3590

Good location if you don't want to be around the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. However.....I gave it one star because this hotel is absolutely dirty! We stayed in the Kona tower and the rooms were so outdated. The carpets and furniture were filthy. I did not even want to leave my bags or luggage on top of them. The bed and pillows were shit. And the bathroom...oh my gosh the bathroom. The bathroom curtain smelled like sweat! So incredibly disgusting. Even after my shower I didn't feel clean! Enjoyed my time in Hawaii, but was super glad to come home to my bed and clean bathroom. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!

Had a great time at a fundraiser at the Ala Moana Hotel. I had an Apple genius bar appointment later on so I just parked in the Ala Moana Shopping Center parking area. There are a few stalls u need to pay for while going to the Ala Moana Hotel so pay attention to any nearby signs.Spacious bathroom facilities and a Starbucks on the ground floor. Banquet staff were courteous and efficient. Good venue for the fundraiser luncheon. Good acoustics when singers performed Phantom of the Opera songs.

Nice hotel, conveniently located outside Waikiki main strip near the Ala Moana Mall with a sky deck bridge connection to the hotel. Pool and lobby was nice. Room was comfortable and clean from what I experienced. I would stay here again. Walkable to Waikiki and back.

With the wide selection of hotels in Honolulu, you are spoiled for choice on where to stay. In the end, my girlfriend and I chose Ala Moana by Mantra and we had a love-hate relationship with the hotel. There were some things we really liked, but other things that we wished were done better.Starting from the customer service, I thought they were great! The check-in was convenient, the front desks were friendly and the room service was terrific! Additionally, the location is very strategic, you would get to your typical tourist sites pretty quickly by car (most places are within 30-40 minutes drive). There is a huge shopping mall right across this hotel (Ala Moana Center) which is connected through the 2nd floor by a parking lot! With that said, we weren't totally satisfied with the room. We thought it was a little too tiny. and the mattress was hard like a rock! However, one thing that really stood out to us was how great the water pressure in the shower was (nothing feels better than a relaxing shower before sleep) !Overall, if location and water pressure in the shower are your number one priority when looking for a hotel, then this would be a solid choice ! On the other hand, if you are looking for comfortable mattresses and spacious rooms, you might want to consider other options.

Gina and the entire staff serving the Hawai'i Coffee Conference this weekend were among the most attentive I've ever experienced in my decades of traveling to meetings, large and small. From the banquet staff to other services, conference organizers and vendors like my contingent were very appreciative of the impeccable service, attention to, and anticipation of, client needs, and in managing conflicting information. We had only one communication glitch surrounding parking, and each staff member touching the situation were on point, patient, and resolution oriented. We were even asked, "How can we make this right for you today?" And, the food was very good, fresh and tasty, from cocktail receptions, breakfasts, lunches, and our banquet dinner. Can't forget the bell and valet staff, for their cheerful and quick assistance as well!

Meeting venue in Honolulu, Hawaii...I've attended many types of functions at the Ala Moana Hotel. From weddings, birthday parties, seminars, and retirement celebrations, the Ala Moana Hotel has various room sizes for any occasion. On 10-14-23, my family gathered for a triple Memorial Service for my aunt, my cousin, and my cousin's son. The Garden Lanai room was the perfect size for the Military Honors ceremony, the PowerPoint presentation, and the singing of Hawaii Aloha together. The coffee, tea, and water stations were much appreciated. The restrooms across the hallway were clean and convenient. Air conditioning was wonderful! There was a parking validation stamp for those who parked at the hotel. Many of us parked at the Ala Moana Center and walked over, using the connecting ramp near Macy's on the mall level.Thank you for a comfortable venue for friends and family!

Very good overnight stay while our home was being tented.Nice lobby with Starbucks. I got the breakfast package so both of us had the buffet breakfast without having to leave the hotel.Elevators are fast. Shampoo in shower wall container pump smelled nice.Iron board in closet if you need, hair dryer. Room was spacious enough with a balcony. Bath tub had grab bar. Good water pressure.Room cleaner greeted us as we were heading down to the lobby to check out.Why not 5 stars? Toilet seemed very low but that's just me, Room looked great. If I didn't look down I wouldn't have noticed the paint on the bottom of the bathroom door.Only thing is you pay to park at Ala Moana Center by QR code after 9:30 pm you can't enter up there. We had to walk down the up ramp and that slope can be difficult for aged knees,

The Ala Moana Hotel is conveniently located right by the Ala Moana shopping center! Many locals (Kamaaina) stay here because it is outside of Waikiki.Elsie, Sales & Marketing Assistant, is very nice, friendly and professional. My daughter and her boyfriend wanted to stay here during the holidays. Elsie was helpful with confirming their reservation and very gracious by helping them move it when my daughter fell ill. She was prompt with my rescheduling request and lovely to talk to.Such Great Customer Service! Elsie definitely has the Aloha Spirit!Mahalo Elsie!

This is by far one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed. If staying on the Kona tower side, be prepared to hear yelling of homeless and tourists/patrons of the hotel, and the echoes of noise are insane. The glass bottles are next level. People spend sometimes 2 hours disposing of glass recycling, one by one, just about every morning. You'll get the sweet sounds of bottles being dumped each night, as well as each morning. As well, the delivery trucks and rubbish trucks at sometimes 330am, backing up. Bring ear plugs!
