I absolutely love Ala Moana Center! Fun fact: it's the world's largest open-air shopping center, and with over 350 shops, it really has something for everyone. Whether you're a dedicated shopper or just looking for a fun day out, this place won't disappoint.Over the years, I've come to appreciate not only the shopping but also the extra touches that make Ala Moana so unique. There are two food courts--one on the ground level and a smaller one near Macy's on the second level--both offering a fantastic array of options. On the ground floor, you can grab everything from fast food and pizza to Asian cuisine, smoothies, and even healthy alternatives. I love wandering around and sometimes even snag a sample from one of the food vendors! What really sets Ala Moana apart, though, is the experience. There are koi ponds, photo ops, and even an arcade area to keep you entertained. They host in-store demos, classes, and a variety of live performances on the center stage, which always adds an exciting vibe to the atmosphere. The mall is organized into three levels that cater to different tastes. For instance, I find the ground level perfect for souvenir shopping and enjoying the food court (plus there's a Foodlands right there for everyday needs). The second level is home to higher-end and luxury stores like Lululemon and the Apple Store, while the third level is geared toward a younger crowd with shops like Windsor, PacSun, and Abercrombie & Fitch, along with some great late-night dining options like Lucky Strike and Buffalo Wild Wings. There's even a Target on site! One of my favorite things is how the space blends indoor comfort with an outdoor feel--local music, lush palm trees, and that open-air design really create a relaxed, inviting ambiance. And parking? They've got a huge multi-level garage surrounding the center, so even during busy times, you usually find a spot. But the best part of all? The staff. Every store I've visited has had friendly, reliable customer service that makes you feel truly welcome--it's like a little slice of paradise in the middle of Honolulu.Rain or shine it's a great destination to check out. Whether you're shopping till you drop or just enjoying a leisurely day out, Ala Moana Center is a must-visit destination.

Awesome place to get your shopping/entertainment/dining done all in one place...can't say enough about it!However...the mall music sucks! Sorry, but it does! Not everyone wants to hear reggae all the time. Our shopping experience could be better if you replaced your background soundtrack to something more neutral, something that everyone both young and old can enjoy...

Guest services is located ground floor under the excalators /stairs, mauka of Makai Market.Use the auto door opener with the back of your hand. Touch nothing when conducting transaction. Purchased a $200 gift card for $205. The $5 is a service fee. Ala Moana gift cards are good for 8 years. Each gift card comes with a card information pamphlet. (The card is an Amex gift card.)Guest services offers complimentary gift wrapping of up to 3 items/day. Items must be purchased same day. Wow, where do I even begin with the Ala Moana Center? This place is truly the world's biggest outdoor mall! I spent two hours wandering around, and I barely scratched the surface of all the stores. It's an impressive multi-level layout with branches leading off, lined with shops on both sides. When I say name brands, I mean every high-end label you can think of is here. From designer fashion to luxury accessories, it's like a haven for shoppers with a taste for the finer things. Honestly, who can afford to shop at these stores? It feels like a playground for the elite, but hey, it looks like business is booming!Beyond shopping, the atmosphere is vibrant and entertaining. Whether you're there to browse or just enjoy the ambiance, it's definitely worth a visit. Just make sure to bring your platinum card if you plan to splurge! Highly recommend checking it out!

Ala Moana Center is one of the largest malls around in North America, and it certainly stands up to that billing. It's located away from the Waikiki area, and will require driving or an uber to get to this location. It's a very large open air shopping mall, which you can't even see the end of the mall from one side to the other, so that just gives you an idea of how big this mall really is. It's large enough that the two different sides of this mall, each side is probably still larger than most malls you've been to.There's a variety of things here, from various food courts located within on both ends of this mall, to the wide variety of shopping options from clothing, to fun stuff, to random leisure spots around, it's got basically everything besides a beach that is.There are two floors, kind of, for this mall. Some areas of this mall have two floors of shopping, while the other parts are just the parking areas mostly, or smaller store fronts that are just on the outside with random shops here and there. The driving and parking here however is, chaotic, slow, and frustrating. For a shopping mall this large I feel one could have done a better job designing how the traffic flows here, but it is what it is. Parking here also is not easy during peak times, and you maybe circling around for awhile before you find a spot. But the open air shopping is really what makes this a fun shopping experience, especially since this place basically has everything you want from a mall, even an escape room!I would definitely pay a visit here, especially if you have no other particular plans, to come down to Ala Moana Center for some shopping, food, and fun.

Ala Moana Center is the largest open air outdoor shopping mall! When I was younger, I never saw the attraction to coming here. But, as I got older, I learned to appreciate and understood why so many people like to shop here! This mall has 4 levels of shops, restaurants, etc. It's a great place to bring your family or meet up with friends and spend a day here. They are anchored by some big brands here like "Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Marshalls, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Ross Dress for Less, Saks Off 5th, and Target".

Haven't been here in a while, but this is the second or third time I've been here. Last time was this November 2024. Lots of standard mall shops with some luxury shops too, so that diversifies the shop offerings here. The mall directory and location of some shops can be confusing so refer to the directory listings there or use their website to direct yourself to what shop you want to go to.

I find Ala Moana Center a pretty safe location to go walking. But please do not walk here too early in the morning or one hour after the stores close. There are three or more levels to walk. The street level is safe during daylight hours. The mall level has more foot traffic so it's pretty safe to walk here during store hours. The top level is designed a bit awkward for walking as there are many bends and curves on the top level. Usually there are quite a few people, elders, retirees, young ones and employees on the mall level. Lower levels are okay but go with a walking buddy. Lots of window shopping and if you need a quick cool down, walk into a store. Pick up a beverage or snack at one of the many food courts. Many public and store restrooms are available at AMC. Keep on walking everyone. Just do it safely.

This shopping center is a MUST if you are visiting in the area and need a good place to eat, chill, or walk around at. They have a food court inside with many options including all different cuisines so everyone can find something they enjoy. Also there are an abundance of stores ranging from more affordable items to luxary, The mall is kept very clean and tidy with many plants along the middle aisle. Also the parking is easy to navigate and there is plenty! I really have no complaints, only a suggestion. Since most of the mall is outdoor with a small covering over it, suggest bringing an umbrella if there is rain in the forecast! Highly recommend!

We walked 3 miles today to this huge monstrosity of a mall called Ala Moana. This sucker is a four story mall that is 3-4 city blocks long and wide. It boasts OVER 350 shops! So, the attraction here was this huge mall itself. The food court alone covered the area of at least a football field. This cavernous feeling establishment just blew us away, there was simply not enough time to even explore just the first floor here. Over 350 shops, trying to wrap my head around that. It turns out that this is the eighth largest shopping mall in the US.... There are larger ones? Woof...We stopped in at a small shop called Teapresso. Highly caffeinated delicious cold drinks! After walking three miles in the Honolulu heat, this was the break we needed to cool off, rehydrate and get ramped up on some caffeine. All the shops we did visit were very welcoming with many handing out free samples of chocolates, biscuits and other tasty items.
