Inconsiderate. After 2 hours of charging, the charger stops and displays "available" on the app. Even though this car is taking up the spot

I come to Aikahi Park Shopping Center every now and then to go to Starbucks or tamuras. I was on my way home and needing to charge my car when I saw that there was an available charging spot at aikahi, so I detoured through Kaneohe and planned on spending some time at Starbucks doing work and charging my car. NOPE. The Volta app said the spot was available but when I got to the spot, a blue Nissan leaf was parked and plugged in. This means the owner was parked here for more than 2 hours because they were charging and then the charger stopped after 2 hours. I waited around for an hour and the inconsiderate asshole never came to move his/her car. What's even worse is that they had an aikahi park shopping center parking tag which means they work here and could easily come out and move their car after 2 hours. So inconsiderate. When I used to work at other shopping centers like Ala Moana and Ward, we were told to park in designated places like far away from the shops so as to not take away prime parking for customers. I guess aikahi park doesn't care about their customers. Ok, so now that my rant is done, the shopping here is kind of good for the variety. It's sad that the hot pot place closed, and I think they could do with a boba shop, but there is a variety of food options and a drive through Starbucks. There's also a Safeway, so I guess there's not much more you could ask for.

The new exterior updates look nice but content is important also. Adding another restaurant would be nice as food options are extremely limited.Starbucks seems to be a popular addition but the drive thru line blocks off the outer lane a good part of the day, forcing customers going to the other shops to try to get into the lanes to park. Don't rely on people who haven't had their coffee yet to NOT block access to the lanes.

Not once.. not twice... but THREE separate incidents my boyfriend has been harassed here. Twice in Safeway he was followed around the store, stared at in the self checkout, yelled at and demanded to see a receipt... "SIR! YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THAT" after paying for his items. So humiliating. He was just going to the ATM at navy federal and told by security "eh need to put a shirt on get plenty homeless here yeah? More decent" He was outside. He smiles at everyone. He's friendly. How dare you. Are you implying he looks homeless? Are you calling him indecent for not wearing a shirt outside? We're in Hawaii... he's not the only one here without a shirt. Don't go here if you have tattoos they'll call you homeless and scream at you to show them proof you paid for your groceries.

On one recent weekend, I went holo holo to Kailua and Kaneohe from downtown Honolulu and rode da #52 bus and came through Kailua. I was getting hungry and stopped off by this strip mall they call a shopping center at Aikahi Park. I have never been to this place, but I have heard decent things about this place. While the stores here are quite an interesting mix, I decided not to get anything major here, since I could wait till I hit up Kaneohe on the next bus. I did stop by Burger King to get a large soda since I was thirsty and forgot to check in on my Yelp app. I do note that the Safeway here is as comparable to the ones in town that I frequent. I saw that there is the L&L Barbeque and the Willow Tree on the property for your enjoyment. Also on property is the gas station. There's also the Navy Credit union and the Bank of Hawaii for your banking needs. The parking here is quite ample, although it can be noted that the property is small, so the lot is decent too. I don't shop here at all, but I can come by here once a month just to get some spice of variety and change of pace, when locations in urban Honolulu won't do it for me anymore. The Chapel on property kind of stood out to me, since I haven't seen that in a shopping mall before. The property is situated along the bus line, so it's a good pitstop if you are here in Kailua or on your way to Kaneohe or other parts of the island for a day of sand, surf, or whatevas.

This was once a great place to visit, when they had the Aikahi Theaters, and has seen its share of new editions that have come and gone (Gracie Jiu-Jitsu studios, Diamond Video). I love the Tamura's Liquor store, and go there just for their wonderful poke. On occasion, this shopping center will feature a shrimp truck or lunch wagon, which offers a nice change of pace. This is the only Sizzler on the windward side, so we visit this shopping center for their yummy buffet.

A nice shopping center located between Kailua and Kaneohe. where you can get a haircut, fix your car and your dog! There's a few places to eat including my favorite Korean restaurant Willow Tree. There's a Safeway where the lines are short and the help is plentiful. Tamura's has top grade poke for a reasonable price. There's even a gas station and of course everyones "favorite" L and L Drive Inn.

I was hoping to get some info on what restaurants and food places they have but the online directory is so small there is no way to read. Try enlarging ...it gets fuzzy. Try magnification...gets fuzzy. Forget it, I'll find another place to eat!
