Aiea Hongwanji Preschool

If you are planning to enroll your preschooler here make sure that Ms. Jen will not be your childs teacher. My daughter wet the bed at night often and would pee in her pants during school. This all started when she started going here. She would also cry every morning before school. This was her 2nd year going to preschool. Her first year at a different school she had none of these issues. I finally spoke with Ms. Jen one day after school. She had no soul, no empathy to my concerns. Much more was discussed which led me to believe that she was unfit to be a teacher. I immediately walked to the principal's office and said this would be my daughter's last day. I got her in another preschool nearby the following week luckily. Immediately we noticed a change in her attitude. No bed wetting, no crying before school. Back to her happy self. I will say that the afterschool staff were always really nice.

If i could give 10 stars to this school i totally would. This school located is hidden in the back of the residential area inside a buddhist temple. The school is small and old looking but what inside will amazed you!! The people!! All the teachers, principal and everyone is so nice and friendly and very helpful, very professional and kind. This is our kids very first school and we are very pleased to find this school nearby our house. Tuition is also affordable in my opinion for the time that they watch our kids 6:45-7:30 drop off/ pick up 3-4:30/5 i forgot but we rarely leave them there after 4ish. I love every single teachers and teacher aid they have. Ms Jan, Ms Jen, Ms Melissa, Mr Andrew; Ms Amy, Ms Claire and also Ms Jennifer works in the office, everyone is so nice and always there to support our kids whenever needed. Even other teachers from another class always say Hi and recognize our kids by Name make us feel very welcomed! i cannot recommend enough to everyone about this school. my children always come home happy and excited to come to school. You can tell they learn a lot. Become more independent and polite, well manner and speak more words. don't look anymore! enroll your child!! you won't regret! :)

This place is the best. We love it. And I speak from some experience since my daughter that attends is our 5th child and first to go to Aiea Hongwanji Pre-school. Great teachers that care about the kids and are trained to teach. The facilities are wonderful, with rooms that let in a lot of light. Great class sizes with good teacher to student ratios. They serve healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch. Really nice spacious outside play areas. They also have a nice sand box area, water play stations, and great riding toys. Lots of fun and educational field trip activities throughout the school year. My daughter really enjoys going to school everyday. Has made lots of friends. The environment that they foster there is one of fun, caring and learning and the kids for the most part behave and grow that way. We feel lucky that we found Aiea Hongwanji Pre-school.

My son has attended this school for a year and he loves it. His teacher Ms Sheana does a very good job of balances discipline with affection and my son is definitely a rascal. They keep the school clean and organized and everyone is in a good mood when I drop or pick up my son. They do a very good job of communication with parents about events and theme days but especially about incidents that involve your child. They explain everything thoroughly and take the appropriate action when needed. My son is Hawaiian and this school is on the approved list for receiving financial aid from Pauahi Keiki Scholars. The head of the school Ms Clair has always been helpful when I needed her and you can tell she cares about the kids. I'm very protective of my son and wouldn't just send him anywhere.

My daughter goes here and they are amazing, staff is always supper friendly and she has grown so much in both personality and in academia. They have good hours open 630-530 and very caring and attentive to the kids. It's amazing because it is on the cheaper end of preschools and they also try to ensure everything is paid for in the tuition(food, supplies, field trips). I'm blessed I found them.
