Aiea District Park

So, reason why I gave it a 3 is because 1) there isn't enough activities for the community to to open the center all year round, 2) it's a bit smaller than most rec centers but it has a large baseball field, & 3) it's literally in the same grounds as the high school. If this was me back in the days... this would've been my GO TO area for a "break-time". Otherwise, I like how it's IS n the same grounds as the school because it makes it so much easier for parents with babies to entertain the little ones while waiting for their high schoolers to finish school or whatnot.Also, this place fills up super quickly when they DO have activities. And the activities ARE REALLY FUN TOO! We used to always sign up our children to participate in this community center & they always had a lot of fun. But since COVID, the state has limited center locations to hold most community activities, lessons & courses. So now, it's either at Halawa District Park or Salt Lake District.

Newer playground here? But slide out of service, boarded up... pretty clean though, also had little drums and slidding toy on right. Bring mosquito spray as you may get bit

Not good for under 5 and the only slide is boarded up for some reason. Not much play value.

The parking for this park is about 10 stalls and really small. The parking is on the top and you use the ramp to walk down to the gym and field. The gym has bleachers on one side and a flat platform on the other side. It's dated and the paint is chipping off the walls. You take the stairs down, there will be the baseball field, outside basketball courts, tennis courts, and two gym apparatus for kids. The park is right next to Aiea High School.

The park is walking distance from my Grandma's house. It's not in good shape but still is fine for kids to play. The high school parking lot says no public parking Monday through Friday.

Aiea District Park is right next to Aiea High School. There's a playground for the little tots, tennis courts, basketball court, and baseball field. It's a great location. A couple of things to remember is to wear sunscreen and possibly bring an umbrella to shield yourself from our Hawaii sun. Another thing is, when there's an event, there's absolutely no parking. Otherwise, it's a great location.

We came here for the gymnastic competition. They also practice there. Clean bathrooms, but the butt goes numb after siting on the bleachers after hour #3. We were there for 6 hours.

Aiea district park is a nice place to play tennis, baseball, and basketball. They have 4 tennis courts but on Saturdays they are reserved for classes. They also have a playground. It's a nice to park to bring your children. Parking is available on the street or inside Aiea high school if the gates are open.

I grew up playing at this pool... My only challenge with this pool is they don't allow food or drinks anywhere near the pool area and the kiddie pool is stained yellow... lol! But none the less, I love this place! :-)

Clean interior, great staff but horrible parking options. The bottom of the pool looks horrid! BUT this place has greatly improved after my kids attended Summer Fun. What a difference new staff make. You can see the manager and staff working non stop. The biggest difference is the kids from Aiea High seem to be welcomed. Great job for changing this place for the better, now work on the homeless issue and gym leaks.
