88 Tees is a well-known T-shirt shop that can be said to be a symbol of Hawaii. The iconic character "Yaya" expresses the spirit of "Ohana" and "Aloha" who share happiness with family and friends. The other day, I found an 88 Tees shop on my way to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Kuhio Street.I was attracted by the Yaya sign and went inside, and just like the Kalakaua shop, I was greeted by the familiar sight of a mountain of T-shirts.A man who seemed to be the manager was busy folding T-shirts and handling the cash register. He noticed me and spoke to me in a friendly manner. He introduced himself to me and I noticed his name is Jack.I learned that they had gone through a lot of hardships, such as reducing the number of stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic and opening a new store in this location.Still, there were customers constantly coming and going on Kaiolu Street, and it was impressive to see him always busy and moving around by himself. That's because he is a veteran staff member who has served many celebrities and supervised the original T-shirts they make. The Kalakaua store is decorated with photos of celebrities and the owner everywhere, but there were no photos of that kind here. However, the veteran staffer here knew the history of 88 Tees and showed us some photos of famous people on his iPhone.Even though the number of stores has decreased, 88 Tees is still an important Hawaiian business for us locals!I hope that the stores will continue to thrive and attract more customers than ever before. The location is diagonally opposite the Ritz-Carlton, marked by Yaya-chan.Just like the Kalakaua store, please go to this store and have fun!88Tは、ハワイのシンボルと言っても良いほどの有名なTシャツショップです。

We love visiting this store every time we're in Waikiki - it never fails to impress! Impressed by the range of clothing and aloha trinkets that keeps improving, although it's a shame that their prices have gone up due to inflation. The shelves can get messy as people dig for the best deal. The staff always bring that laid-back island vibe and greet you with a warm, hang loose attitude!

We usually visit O'ahu every year and have shopped at 88 Tees numerous times in the past. We went to shop there today and this was the first time we've met Aracely. Let me tell you, the moment we came up, she was the nicest and so welcoming! She kept checking up on us to see if we needed help finding a size or telling us what designs she thought we'd like. She was the sweetest lady and I really hope we see her again the next we're in O'ahu! Aside from her giving us excellent customer service, the store itself is so cool and we always find something to buy! Love this place!

Visited this location 2x and am happy with purchases overallBought 2 t-shirts, tanks, & sweat pants. Designs are very fun. Quality is ok, sewing is not the best on the t-shirts. I already washed (in cold) one shirt (no dryer) and the collar looks very relaxed, lost all its shape (looks messy). The other t-shirt came out of the wash fine.I'm happy to shop & support local, so will return for another treasure hunt. But will be inspecting merch closer.Atmosphere: fun, loud, sorta like treasure hunting. Had two cute dogs hanging out (Whiskey & Ila).Service: 5 starsValue: A bit overpriced for the quality of t-shirts.Shout out to exceptional employees!!- Arcella (sorry if I misspelled), Chatted with her both times I visited.- Jack, he rang me up & helped me figure price of sweats that didn't have a tag. Also visited their other location. Smaller store, less busy when I visited. 403 Kaiolu St (about a 2-3 min walk from this original location). Angel, another exceptional employee, helped me find sizes & rang me up.

Fun place to dig through! They have mostly 88 Tees branded items but lots of vintage Levi's and Jean jackets. It's a little pricey but I walked away with a unique souvenir so it was worth it. The owner was also very kind and helpful. Definitely stop by!

Wanted to check this place out since I saw it popularized on terrace house! It was exactly how it was portrayed in the show! Lots of shirts everywhere and a decent amount of people too. Avian wasn't there so we couldn't take a picture but a good store if you're into t shirts and different graphics!
