Came by on February 3rd around 6:30 p.m - 7 p.m and upon walking in customer service was absolutely terrible. Not even one greeting or anything! Instead walking in all I seen was all associates including the closing manager on shift on their phone! All I had gotten was a look and a simple "hey" and went back to being on their phone. Like excuse me? Shelves were empty and there was no selections. I had came by looking for the Hawaii exclusive macadamia tart that they had carry and since I didn't see it I headed for the counter to ask the associate if they had any or will be carrying anymore for the week. The associate proceed to tell me that she thinks there will be some the next day or the week of but wanted to double check with the manager on shift. The manager which was a male proceeded to come and tell me that they did not have any for the day. When I had asked if they would be carrying any the next day or for the week the manager had told me a bizarre answer and said to me "they would not be carrying it for the week and was unsure of when they would get it since the macadamia nut ingredients was so hard to come by. Which is so diabolical and a lie as the whole island carries it everywhere. As a person who use to work for the company as a management team this is not how you handle customer service. I understand that this location is a franchise compared to all the other 85 that is under corporation but we basically all run under the same business and this is not how you should lie to customers. For the closing manager on shift and I wished I had gotten your name, please do better.

This bakery is popular on the continental US and it was in So Cal when I was first introduced to 85 Degree C Bakery. This bakery was born in Taiwan so the actual eateries are pretty much French Asian, that is if there is such a classification of baked goods. In addition to their loose pastries and cakes, they bake their own bread. The bread is pretty darn good! They have coffee and tea beverages as well. The service is pretty straight forward; pick your pastries, take your tray to the cashier, pay for it and off you go. The beverages however is not quite that simple. While you can grab a seat while you wait for your beverage, you may lose your order because someone else might be given your order OR you may be too far to hear them call your number, name or beverage description.located in the Ala Moana Center Roof Top level, they are below Macaroni Grill and in the old Pearl location.

Life is so much sweeter with fresh pastries and breads. Come get yours at 85°C Bakery Cafe in Ala Moana. I got an iced Vietnamese coffee. It's a strong espresso with condensed milk paired with a sliced of their blueberry cheesecake. Not a good combination but I definitely enjoyed the strong espresso flavor in my Vietnamese coffee. He got Tiger Milk Boba with a sliced of Tiramisu Cheesecake and Red Velvet cakes. Also not the best combination but each was delicious by itself. The place is huge and filled with amazing fresh breads smell. They also had lots of tables and chairs for customers. Once you walk in, you can choose your fresh breads and pasties then stand in line to make a purchase. You can also grab your sweet slices of cakes and drinks. This is our first time here but I'm only giving them a 3 stars because the staff was not clear about our drinks. I came up to ask one of the staffs for our drinks and was told they were going to call out our numbers. So I went back to our tables and 5 minutes later, a staff delivers our drinks. Thank you! BUT we were also told this next time we need to grab it ourselves and that it was only going to be delivered this one time. Now we don't have any problem getting back up to get our drinks IF they had called our number. Please be kind to your customers. Don't scold them. They didn't pay for that. It's also not nice. Life would be so much sweeter with fresh pastries and breads and so much better with friendlier service. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week.

I didn't even know this place existed till I came here with my daughter and SIL. It's a pretty large space, just mauka of Ho'Okipa Terrace and Romano's, right by the roof parking lot. Is a self-service Japanese style bakery with coffees, lattes, and boba drinks. They also have an app that you can use to pre-order your items for pickup at the first counter, right as you enter. Otherwise, you can stand in line and order at one of the open stations after getting your items from the self-service bakery area. The selection is pretty extensive, for both bakery and beverages, and the prices are about average. The entire area is clean and nicely designed, with cold a/c, and a feeling of spaciousness. The actual bakery appears to be on premises, in the back of the service counters, so the food items must be fresh. We just came here for refreshments after having lunch, but it's a place that deserves a revisit for desserts.

It is a convenient location on the 3rd floor of Ala Moana. They have an assortment of sweet and savory pastries. They also have whole cakes ready to go and cake slices. Most of the iced teas and drinks are on the sweeter side. The customer service is excellent! 85 degree is well known for their egg tarts. Both the egg tart and the mochi egg tarts are delicious. The mochi one has bits of mochi in it so if chewy textures are not for you, I would suggest the regular egg tart. There is a reasonable seating area for you to enjoy your drinks and eat. Unfortunately they do not have squid ink pastries at this location. Some of the savory pastries are available but they have a semi sweet and savory factor with the milk bread type. I enjoy their garlic bread. Fluffy, buttery, and garlicky. Yum.Happy yelping and eating folks!

We came here for dessert yesterday night after dinner at Liliha Bakery. We shared a mango coconut smoothie $6.35 and a piece of mango brûlée cake slice $4.75.I haven't been here in a while and had forgotten how good this place is. My hubby actually recommended we come here for dessert and I agreed. I'm so glad we came. The mango coconut smoothie was perfect. It was a 10 out of 10, one of the best mangoes smoothies ever. It was smooth, creamy and not too sweet. Of course the slice of mango cake was good as well. If I had to pick one, I'd definitely order the smoothie again.

Do you have the 85*C App? It's great to track your points and for bonus items!I had a 50% off mango item drink and a free VIP Ice tea. So I came by today to redeem my bonus items. I ordered the Mango Strawberry Smoothie at 50% less sweet and the Liliko'i Ice Tea at 50% less sweet. The smoothie was delicious and you can taste the mango and strawberry! I think I could've ordered it 75% less sweet lol. It was still pretty sweet. 4/5 stars On the other hand, the Liliko'i tea was on the tart side and refreshing. 4/5 stars Both drinks are refreshing and well made. Of course I picked up a few baked goods as well.Sadly, the first item I tried was the Pork Sung bun. It had a sign saying it was a top seller. It's a savory pastry. However, I found it way too salty for my taste. This bakery is large and has a number of tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy your delicious pastry, dessert and drinks. The tables could use a cleaning and maybe more lighting? The air conditioning system works great! The tables were full , so I took my drinks and pastries home. Ambiance: 3/5 stars.

Danger! Danger! My A1C will be in grave jeopardy if I come here on a regular basis! Lol!85°C Bakery has finally made it to da 808, and although they've been here for a little while, I personally refrained from coming here, just to spare my A1C, as well as not wanting to brave the crowds when they first opened in da 808. I've already experienced 85° C Bakery, as I've been to a few of the locations on the mainland when I was visiting relatives & friends in California. The baked items, as well as their cakes, are fabulous, and the presentation of the bakery goods are eye appealing! They also serve drinks here, but I personally haven't tried any of them yet.Located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, you can find 85° C Bakery by the escalator just downstairs from Romano's Macaroni Grill. The bakery is spacious, and there are quite a bit of seating within the bakery should you buy their baked goods & decide to eat within the bakery. The day I came here, I was basically here to purchase a slice of cake for a friend, but I easily got sidetracked when I saw the egg tarts that they had in their display case! Lol!For those that know Bruddah Fran & his custard, the egg tarts are like my crack! Lol! I must say 85° C Bakery egg tarts are F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.!!!! The egg custard was creamy and not too sweet, and the tart crust was so buttery deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!I wanna go back to 85° C Bakery already, but in the back of my mind, I can already hear my doctor lecturing me about making better food choices. Lol! Oh well......no can help when Bruddah man gets old! Lol!

Decent selection of bread that's fresh and soft. My favorite is the Hokkaido custard with mostly whipped cream and a bit of yellow custard filling, it's like a cream puff but it's a cream bread! I don't eat much baked goods and this is such a treat for me. The rest of the family like all the taro stuff usually. However, as much as I enjoy the bread and pastries here, for a similar price point I still would rather go to the Japanese bakery in the lanai food court as their stuff are a little more refined I'd say. They also have a wide selection of drinks. A big crowd walked in waiting in line just for drinks! They also have a point reward system that you can keep track of with their 85°C app. The location can be a bit hard to find. It's right at the bottom of the escalator after you walk past Romano's macaroni grill, on the 3rd floor, also near the uncovered level of the parking structure.
