What is a mangonada? It's almost like a slushy that combines sweet, sour, spicy, salty & somehow It just works. Sour and spicy drink? Sounds weird right, you get the flavors from a tangy chamoy, chili powder or tajin like mix, tamarind Mexican candies and you guessed It, MANGO! Coming from San Diego, you can pretty much get this refreshing treat on every other street corner. This was my first time seeing It here on the island at a Eat The Street event in kapolei. I'm not a sweets type of person so this slushy mix is perfect for me. I didn't really check out the other options but It seems like they had a few different flavor and sauces to combine with your sorbet. My main focus was on the picture of the mangonada that they had on their sign lol.

We finally made it to get these delicious Mexican treats! We had the pleasure of tasting these treats at Ocean Point's Farmers Market back in 2019 and we have been hooked since! My daughter's favorite is their OG Mangonada because it usually comes with a tamarind candy straw. Today they were out of it so my daughter was a little disappointed cause that was what she really wanted to get. I usually get their pīna mangonada but today I tried their Horchata. The taste was perfection but I didn't like that the drink didn't have a cover so some of it spilled while I was walking back to my car. That is why I had to take away a star but overall, the treats were still yummy as the first time we had them! They added elote on their menu so I definitely need to try it on our next visit.

I've only tried the mango sorbet but OMG it's so delicious I never want to try the other flavors even tho I should and NEED to! The thing I love about this business is they make their stuff homemade which is probably why it's so delicious ! I always get to try it out right near my house they are right outside Barrio Cafe for Taco Friday but check their IG (808_mangonadas) where they will be at ! You won't regret trying this delicious treat

If you're looking for Mexican treats, this is your jam. We got the OG Mangonada- mango sorbet with chamoy, tajin, and a tamarind candy straw. It was beautiful. The taste wasn't what I am used to, but I wanted to try something new to me. We also got the agua de sandia- a refreshing cup of watermelon juice. Th

808 Mangonadas answered my prayers!!! I would have dreams about delicious mango sorbet, drowned in chamoya sauce, drizzled with Mexican cream. But this is Hawaii and that's very rare to find, slowly I am starting to see Mexican cuisine pop up, but it's a slow run. You can choose from large to small, if you don't want mango sorbet you can choose pineapple or strawberry. I chose mango sorbet with chamoy and cream mixed, my boyfriend got mango sorbet with Li-Hing sauce, both topped off with Mexican candy straw! The sweetness of the real fruit mango with the sour chamoy sauce, they can also add two different sauces for you so you can get more flavor! Catch them on Friday's in front of Barrio Cafe where you can pair them with tacos on taco Friday l, or follow their Instagram to see which market they will head to!

This review is long overdue. My friends and I planned on going to the Wai'anae Farmers Market on a beautiful Saturday morning. We drove from Makiki. We were going to visit a vendor who sold jewelry. Buuut, from the corner of my eye I saw 808 Mangonadas, Max Holloway & Bruddah Z. They were very nice. We took a picture. They were eating Mangonadas too. Mangos are my favorite! Sweet mangos with 'ono sauces are even better. I was in heaven. I got the mango on a stick with all three sauces, li hing, crema & tahine. Why not I thought. Put on the sauces just like shave ice. LolTina was very nice. She said she never put on all sauces before. It was soo 'ono.Overall: I was craving a mangonada a week after this visit. Would I drive from Makiki to Wai'anae to get one? Yes, yes I would.

I've been DYING for a mangonada for a while now. By the stroke of good luck, I saw the 808 mangonadas at Greiger park. It's was a sign! I ordered the OG mangonada and was not disappointed! It's so refreshing and heavenly. The tamarindo and chamoy hit the spot. It brought me back to my childhood. There's not many places that sell Mexican treats on the island and I'm so happy I found this truck. I would definitely be back again

Love their Mangonadas. They are usually at farmer markets, events, or friday nights at barrio cafe. This family makes these shave ice themselves. They have different flavors and you can add tamarind and chamoy. My favorite is the mango with chamoy.

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo in Honolulu with their sweet treats. 1st time customer, but will definitely be back (at the farmers market on Saturdays). Their menu items took me back to my small Texas town, where we enjoy mangonadas and other "Texan/Mexican" treats. The customer service was top notch and it was nice to see the entire family running the business. Their spirit and enthusiasm, along with their friendliness and positive attitude made the entire experience unforgettable. Great job with all the customers and great pricing on all their treats. The truck was clean and their presentation was great. Muchas Gracias por todo, les deseo la mejor de suertes!!
