The best place to get your rentals and lessons! My gifriend and I signed up for a 90 minute stand up paddle boarding lesson with an instructor via Groupon and so far it's been one of my most favorite experiences during our trip! We started off with the instructor teaching us the basics and eventually we were able to stand and paddle on our own. What made the experience so great was that the instructor (think his name is Caleb) was super patient and really great at helping use learn. We started off in the ocean but eventually made our way to a small river where got to spot some turtles and the water there was really smooth and nice too.If you're looking for a place to learn how to stand up paddle board, this is the right place for that!

I scored a great Groupon deal for a 90 minute private lesson for 2 but honestly after my experience; I'd go back for a full price lesson! The team was super friendly and efficient. They know you want to get in the water ASAP so they don't mess around. This made me feel like every minute of our session was very impactful. As you would expect; you do a quick land lesson to discuss how the whole thing works and then you head out. The owner, Jodi, did the quick land lesson and got the basics down which was surprisingly simple and straightforward. Our paddle board instructor, Mike, lead us out on the water and eased us into the lesson. He didn't force us to go from sitting to kneeling to standing until we felt ready. He told us that he used to own/run a martial arts school for a very long time so I think his teaching instincts are on point. My boyfriend had a hard time standing up and Mike stayed back to coach him. I did pretty good but Mike still helped me with good tips and let me go out further on my own. I really enjoyed having some independence but still felt secure with Mike there.Random thoughts: The scenery was peaceful and serene; perfect for any anxious learners like us. Having the van near the showers was a nice touch; I can tell that Jodi must come extra early to score this great spot. Jodi's recommendation on what to time to do the lesson was spot on. Earlier is best. We also saw two turtles! That was cool!!!!!!! A fun learning experience at a phenomenal value. Customer service was perfect. Our lesson inspired me to plan for another SUP session soon. And hopefully something I'll do on a regular basis! We'll be back to rent paddle boards until we're ready to invest in our own. We got a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lesson from Jodi and her son this morning and it was a wonderful experience.My friend and I arrived about a 45 minutes early and decided to look for a breakfast place. Disappointingly, there was nothing open within a block radius. We did see a peahen and 4 of her peachicks. With10 minutes to go, we made our way to Jodi's truck for our SUP appointment to find Jodi already waiting there. She started us off with a dryland lesson (where to stand on the board, how to paddle, etc.), then bought out paddles for us and we carried the paddles and SUPs to the ocean. It was easy getting on. Paddling on your knees can be very tiring when you haven't exercised in over 6 months (hint: get some muscles before attempting anything too strenuous). I sat down after awhile and paddled in that position until we reached the river. We attempted to stand up a bit farther up the river and my friend made it. I was too wobbly to actually stand up. Jodi was very patient in explaining and demonstrating the standing up procedure each time we made the attempt. It wasn't until we turned around and the current was with us that I attempted to stand...and SUCCEEDED! I can't believe I can finally stand up on a board instead of sitting down! Heading back across the ocean, though, I had to sit down. That will require another lesson. Thank you Jodi for being such an awesome teacher!

My boyfriend, son, and I decided to spend the day at the beach and when we saw 808 SUP we thought it would be a good idea to rent a stand up paddle board. She gave us a kama'aina rate and there is also all day flat rates. I believe if you rent a board for more than 3 hours it's a flat rate. Your rental comes with a board, paddle, and a life vest. My boyfriend and I didn't wear a life vest but my son did. Jodi gave us some instructions on how to hold the board and paddle. Even told us where to go. She suggested we go up the river because it's calm and there are turtles there. There's also a lot of shade too because of the trees. So we set off on our journey and my boyfriends board shorts ripped down the middle from behind. You could see everything. We were in the middle of the ocean so we headed for shore. He ran back to the 808 SUP truck because Jodi was holding our bags there. She holds them for free btw. He grabbed his cash and ran to Surf N Sea which was close by and bought new shorts. I waited on the beach with my son and watched our boards. He returned and I noticed he was wearing a lanyard with a waterproof pouch. Jodi had let him borrow it so that his money wouldn't get wet and so that he could return to us instead of going back to the truck. I thought that was so sweet of her.So we continue down the river and spotted 3 turtles. It was so relaxing. We loved every minute of it. When we returned the boards Jodi said we get a free drink with our rental and I thought that was amazing. Coming back after paddling does work up a thirst. It hit the spot. She's amazing and I'll definitely be renting from her again. We're thinking of coming back this weekend and bringing more of our relatives. We have lots of family with kids that would enjoy this. This was so much fun. I am glad we chose to rent our boards here & paddles up to he river. It was such beautiful scenery, so peaceful. And we saw a sea turtle too! I was so excited, it swam right next to my sup then dove under my board..the highlight of my trip!! I wish we would have done this our first day here, instead of our last, because I would have come back everyday to do this! Awesome. I look forward to doing it again next vacation. Mahalo 808 SUP!

Jodi is such a sweetheart. Cute mother son duo! Very patient with her teaching. Had a great time. Saw TWO types of turtles!!

Gentleman there was super friendly tall dude with brown Hair and a hat on don't know his name but was super cool! Very helpful with the boards and letting us know how where to go where not to go and what to do and what to avoid . Drinks at the end ! Juice soda and water ! Showers right there which was very convenient. Price is incredibly reasonable we went on a Rainy day today so we had a discount $20 per hour and then it's $5 for every 15 minutes. They were pretty lenient and waived some ofThat time for us. He helped all 3 of us getting the board in and out. Highly recommend!

Jodi was fantastic, patient, and helpful in getting us started on a stand-up paddle board! Great service and she offered a military discount! Prices can't be beat!!!!

We were walking along at Haleiwa Beach Park and a very nice woman simply said hello. Turns out she works for 808 SUP. After taking to her for a few minutes I was convinced this was the company to rent from for my family to SUP for the day. She gave us a quick rundown of the water safety in the area, fitted us to our paddles and boards and we were off. We had the most amazing paddle from the ocean up the river just adjacent to where we launched. The scenery was beautiful and we saw sea turtles while paddling on the river! We paddled back in and we were greeted with smiles from both ladies that were running the rentals. They gave us some welcome sodas and waters and were excited to hear about what we saw. I will be returning to rent from them again in the future. Thank you 808 SUP!

We did a two hour rental just walking up and worked out excellently. Great paddle boards and friendly staff!
