Disregard food photos for this place; they are outdated. Vendor only serves pre-made bentos that sit on the counter at room temperature, that allows bacteria to grow that can cause illness if consumed.

So this used to be my favorite place to eat in the area, they were only open for a short time during the day and closed at about 2 but they had great meat jun. Unfortunately since they reopened they only do premade bentos rather than food made to order. Still decent but not nearly as good as it used to be.

Working in the area I decided to give this establishment a go. There is a menu but that seems to be just a guide of what might be severed. On the attempt I was told that they had sold-out of the dish I was interested in. The next time I discovered that they had only bento style meals It was not even noon so I thought a hot meal would be in-store. I was sadly mistaken. Every cooked item was cold, indicating that the bentos had been prepared hours ahead of time. Extremely disappointing. As for the taste or the lack there of was apparent with each bite. I don't understand why it is so difficult for establishments to take pride in what they have to offer. You will be better off picking up a hotdog from Costco, next door

If there is a place that serves great noodles (chapchae) it's this place!! I've eaten my fare share of korean food and this is the best chapchae ever. They are very generous in portion and the price is super cheap. Either breakfast or lunch, this is the spot I hit up. They are closed on the weekends and open only till 2pm.

The price point is reasonable and the portion is huge! One plate lunch is good for breakfast & lunch. I tried the breakfast omelette and meat jun, both were good and fulfilling. What stood out was the banchan or side dishes, especially the japchae.

The meat jun was slightly too sweet. The portions were good, however, the taste was not up to par. Prices are ok.

3 star rating is for the food. I usually order only the breakfast even for lunch, I'll order breakfast. This time, I opted to get the fried chicken and fries. They have a section at the next window, different location where you order Korean food, (or in my case where I order breakfast).Anyway, the window right next have a warmer, and pre-made/pre-packed food. If your in a rush, this is convenient. The warmer had a pan of roast pork, I asked what it was, and she she started preparing a take-out container of it, I asked her what els does it come with? she said fries, I repeated back "fries?" wasn't sure if she said "rice" lol. She gave me a straight look and said, "yes!, fries!', "why not?". I told her I'm still deciding, and to please give me a few minutes to think about it. The fried chicken in the warmer looked good, but I noticed they pack a lot with each $8.00 serving. So I asked if I can buy just a couple of pieces, the worker kind of mumbled something? all I heard was "it's cheaper to just buy the plate" and she immediately started preparing my $8.00 plate of fried chicken and fries. There wasn't much choice besides a pre-packed bento that didn't look like something that appealed to me, so I went with the chicken plate that she was already packing. I told her that I'll pay the $8.00, but please don't put too many pieces, or I will waste it. She said "you can take home the leftovers!".So as for the chicken, well I didn't like it at all. The seasoning on the skin didn't taste right, and the chicken was dry, hard to swallow. It must have been pre-cooked a while ago, the fries was okay, perfectly seasoned, it was warm but not fresh either.I do like the breakfast though, they don't use a lot of oil when frying the breakfast meats, which is why I'm okay with it. It's breakfast only if I'm ever at this place again for business.

There are few choices for good food in Iwilei. And the food here is good. You just have to be sure to close your eyes when it's served.Serving tongs clatter to the floor, and get picked up and jammed right back into the kim chee. Bare hands are used to sweep stray morsels into your plate. Sometimes they wear gloves, but leave them on when handling both food and soggy currency. And that's just the stuff they do right in front of your face. Behind the curtain where the food is actually prepared, who knows what horrors await. The women who work here make up for the total grump that runs the place. But I have to be desperate to eat here, as it's hard not to unsee what I see every time.

Service was horrible! Ordered breakfast plate and when I asked for salt and pepper, man threw the large container of pepper on the counter. Vienna sausage was cooked in the microwave.Seems like his phone was more important than servicing a customer. Fkn rude people don't deserve your business nor your money here!
