Can't go wrong with $5 bento box wagon . Located in the parking lot where KCC farmers market is held on Saturdays. If your looking for a quick bite and low on cash try their $5 bento wagons their located all around town . I seen them on King St. next door to Savers. Also next door to the Prince hotel and the old Fisherman's wharf . They also sell pineapple for $3 the whole pineapple cheaper than the super market.I ordered their pork quisantis a Philippino dish which is basically pork and peas. To my surprise it was good but look and my pics they kinda short me in the corn portion lol .When they first started out it was only $5 for the bento now's its plus tax. Still a bargain .Also now if you're craving for a dole whip ice cream cone you don't have to drive all the way to Dole plantation because these guys have it .Support local

The $5 bento is a huge draw in but my roast pork was very salty. It was like eating a heavy pouring of salt throughout every bite, to the point of inedible. The sangria smoothie tasted good but was expecting it to look red... Overall, I have no plans to come back and would not recommend.

I love $5 Bento trucks! This one is located in the back parking lot by the cactus garden on Diamond Head Road. The day I went, they had my favorite three bentos available: pork adobo, beef stew and mayonnaise snapper! Each main comes with rice and corn, and for $5, for that wonderful, flavorful ono food, you really can't go wrong! Each time I go, I order 3-4 different kinds of bento and keep my boyfriend and me full and happy! $5 Bento Box does so much for the community to keep us all fed at very reasonable prices while prices everywhere else are going up. I have nothing but appreciation, admiration and love for this company for giving back to us as much as they do! Mahalo, $5 Bento Box!

Only Five Bucks! Only Five Bucks! You had me at Five Bucks! And now there is a location for East Honolulu Ohana. They are located in the Kapiolani Community College parking lot right behind the main bus stop fronting Diamond Head road. They offer an assortment of beef, chicken and seafood bentos, all five bucks! Today, they even had fried akule and mahi-mahi with a lemon butter caper sauce. You can get a combo bento which will set you back a little bit more. At $5, it might be a good strategy to buy two bentos if you are really hungry. As you would expect, the servings are not really generous but by no means would I consider them skimpy. These are not Japanese bentos- you'll get your main protein, rice with furikake sprinkles and corn kernels. I have had their bentos from the Kewalo basin location before and these are just as good. No complaints. The location has lots of free parking. The roast pork bento I bought today had a decent amount of pork, a gravy that was not salty and the serving size, enough to fill me up. Good service, cheap eats, tasty bento. If you are in the Kaimuki, Kapahulu area and are in the mood to grind, come on down to the $5 bento truck, you'll be glad you did.

Food tastes amazing sometimes over salty. Some of the bentos like beef stew or pork and peas sometimes tastes like straight ketchup instead of tomato sauce . But our over all favorite dishes are the Roast Pork (sometimes over salty) and the Hamburger steak. We go every single week to grab food after my class or before class if their open. The staff is so sweet and service is always great. They always have a smile on their face. The truck is huge with their menus on top but they don't have burgers or fries at this location. Great environment it's on the school parking lot but your kids can watch the chickens run around on the grass area where they have seats and tables to sit at and enjoy your meal. The iced or blended coffees are sooo good and great for a hot day or when your tired. The dole whip is so good as well.

Price is so cheap, probably the cheapest in Honolulu and food is sooo delicious too!!! Rice is perfectly made, chicken is moist and tender with great flavor. The service are very friendly, the food is quickly and readily available in a to go box as soon as you order you get the bento box right away and no wait at all. I ate it right by the Diamond crater park and community college. Site is perfect for lunch!

First time trying this location. Went on a Sunday lunchtime. Located in KCC parking lot behind the bus stop on Diamond head road. Have tried the kewalo and kalihi locations. There is a new location on S. King, next to Ross, old Yamagen location. Across from stadium park and Mccully McDonald's. This time tried the furikake ahi. Ahi was cooked right, not over cooked. Good taste. Lots of furikake coating on outside. Rice and mixed vegetables were good. Ordered 3 of the furikake ah bento, $5/each. Good deal. Note: tax was added. There is a sign saying prefer cash. But can still use credit card. Also available, chicken, pork, beef bentos. Depending on when you go, selections will vary.Right after the guy before me, they took down the beef stew sign. And after I ordered, they took down the furikake ahi sign. Worker said they get only 5 bentos of each. Friendly service/staff. Lots of free parking. Its parked in a very shady area.Highly recommend.

Congratulations $5 Bento. Somehow, you managed to screw up a hot dog with mustard...TWICE. the key to a hot dog's success, and it seems odd to have to point this out to a food service business, is that the hot dog is HOT. Not temped or room temperature. Of course if you changed the menu to say "Slightly Warm Dog"... this would be a 5 star review and I wouldn't be wondering if you just waved my hot dog over the microwave or if actually put it in the microwave. My wife's BBQ Chicken was also just warm, making what was otherwise good food into something our dog enjoyed, but we didnt.
