2nd Saturdays Hawaii

I went to the inaugural 2nd Saturdays show at Impact Hub with some friends and family, and OMG, I haven't laughed that hard in a while! I had seen the headliner, Pepper, at another comedy show a while back and remembered him as "the hilarious Uber driver," and knew he would be funny as hell. I was pleased that his two openers, Andrew Joyce and Cathy Tanaka, were also sooooo funny! Know that this show is legit stand-up, not amateur hour, so well worth your time and money!Tickets were $20 ($25 at the door) and came with two drink tickets, which was generous! There was wine, plus beer from Waikiki Brewing Company. Everyone who went signed a photo release waiver that also entered them into a drawing for various prizes, like Ja Rule tickets and restaurant gift cards. Not sure if this will be the standard moving forward, but these extra elements helped make it a special night. A great, much needed addition to our local comedy landscape. Looking forward to more 2nd Saturday events!

I've seen Pepper perform several times at different venues around Hawaii. He's never failed to make me laugh. So when I found out he was running a show, I was excited to support him.The Impact Hub (a community office space by day) was decorated with lights and set up to accommodate a large audience that night. There was a bar with plenty of wine and beer to go around (a ticket to event came with two drink tickets!!). There was also a raffle throughout the night. I was pleasantly surprised with the way the show came out. The opening comedians were hilarious and of course, Pepper did not disappoint. Looking forward to the rest of the shows to come. Congratulations on your success!

Wow! Sooo... I was headed to my first comedy show almost a year ago. Little did I know, the guy in the minivan I pulled up next to was the shows featured comedian. Jason Pepper Lamb aka... Pepper. He's the reason I kept going back week after week! Excited to see him and these other comics at the new show!
