1132 Cafe is known throughout the downtown business community as a reliable and crowd-pleasing caterer for events of any size. At my son's workplace, 1132 Cafe's sandwiches and salads are popular items for staff meetings and other, larger occasions. You can check out their website for a complete catering menu.I'm now retired, and like to pick up something to take home from their lunchtime food booth on Tuesdays & Fridays on Fort Street Mall Open Market. The booth is always super clean and orderly. There is a wide variety of sandwiches and salads on display and they are all FRESH and DELICIOUS. Portions are large, and you can store any leftovers in the fridge to eat later. I especially love their pasta salads! The people at the booth are friendly and professional. I definitely recommend supporting this local business.

We use 1132 Cafe & Catering for lunch meetings and I've enjoyed their meals every time. The reason I'm writing this review is because I had the most delicious curry chicken sandwich at our last meeting! I would definitely recommend checking this place out, their catering menu is awesome!

Never heard of this place in downtown honolulu, was at a event and the organizer catered our lunch. I had a Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich, it was so so fresh & healthy! Sandwich came with chips and chocolate cookie. Definitely, will hit up this place if I'm ever downtown. Sorry no picture!

They are at the open market in downtown on Tuesday and Friday's . Like their sandwiches and pasta salads. Affordable and delicious. Not sure if they still have their shop.

One word to describe our experience with food from Cafe 1132 which is terrible! Not impressed after eating majority of food catered to us. Would never recommend this place for catering unless we have no choice. This place has catered for us due to contract with our school. Nobody in our cohort overall liked any of the food catered from Cafe 1132. The food made us miserable for the first full two months of school. Some were disgusted of what it tasted like, what it looked like, and what it smelled like. One of our classmates felt terrible and ran out of middle of a class lecture because of something he ate from here? The salmon didn't even taste or look like salmon. Meat loaf, I called it mystery meat loaf. Who adds peas to spaghetti, beef stew, and inside of meat loafs? Who even adds raisins to curry and fried rice? The mash potatoes looked it was made fresh (props) and not from package but it really lacked salt/seasoning. Most food lack salt/seasoning (I understand it might be for health reasons). Some didn't like food at all that there were many food leftover after class and/or opted to drive out to take out food from like McDonald's than eating the food catered from here. The side dishes were sometimes better (not mash potatoes) than the main dish which is bad. Dull and sad looking food. Lacks heart, amateurish, and cooks may need some cooking lessons. The only safe bet from here are the cold cut sandwiches, Teri beef, chicken Katsu (very small portions) and certain breakfast items (as long as they are fresh). Breakfast items like the Croissants was probably bought from Sam's Club (Croissants) or Blueberry muffin had to be from Costco. But they were at least edible. So glad the contract is over soon after many complaints to our school program person. Part of our tuition does pay for our meals and if this is what we gonna eat for the rest of our duration of the semester or the entire program, I'd like some of my money back so I can use it to buy my own breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not speaking for myself but for others in my class who doesn't have a Yelp account. Spend your hard earned money at another local restaurant with better quality food.

I am not sure why I go back...I've never been happy, but this time I was actually unhappy. Got the "special of the week" - the chicken and avocado sandwich. Think they are just trying to get rid of the chicken-flavored styrofoam. So dry, no mayo, no mustard, no cheese, no cup of water to wash it down. I ordered "extra lettuce" and thought that since I was charged extra they would hook it up...nope, only meant an extra large leaf b/c still only 1 leaf. This bread is worse than the stuff you give to lil kids to feed the fish. It was falling apart b/c was so dry...but luckily i had my extra large lettuce!Shining 1-star in the sandwich...the avocado. Next time I'm looking for a quick sandwich, just going to Subway right outside 1132 Bishop. Bumbai I learn.

A convenient place in downtown, I usually pass this place because I wasn't too interested in pizza or sandwiches, but a friend decided to treat me there for lunch to try it out, and I found that they also sell hot lunch plates, salads and dessert also:Hot sweet sour chicken plate - 3 stars - For about $8, the chicken was tasty, but they gave me more bone than meat, the eggplant salad was nice and sweet, and the curry rice was ok. However, for a hot item, the food was a little cold. Penne chicken pasta - 3 stars - I only had a taste of my friend's pasta, and it was pretty good, but didn't look like they gave that much for the price.Service - service was ok, and it wasn't crowded so it was nice and quiet to sit with a friend and enjoy the meal, except for the man who later sat next to our table and started reading out loud to himself.I think I have to try this place again to buy food myself to give it an accurate rating.

Before class, I wanted food and weighing my options I decided on trying their foods here. I always keep away because I've heard the foods' expensive. Oh well, I'm hungry and I need something in my tummy during class and at my internship. After looking at their menu, I ordered the Ham and Cheese on Whole Wheat Bread, toasted. It was popular that day.(http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/1132-cafe-and-catering-honolulu?select=2a72jYhjCHRHrQPusyUZFg#2a72jYhjCHRHrQPusyUZFg)Since the chairs in front of the shop are for customers, I took advantage, sat and ate. There weren't much people, so I took my time. There were a lot of ham and lettuce, not much tomato.I only ate half of the sandwich. I wasn't enjoying it that much and saved it for later when I got hungry again. They don't have much napkins, at their counter. I had to ask where it was and took the last napkins they had.

Great solution for downtown Honolulu catering. One of the few who will deliver to your location. Great selection, both comfort foods and healthier options. I highly recommend the sandwich platters. For individual dining, their breakfast butter croissant sandwiches are easily the best I've found in the downtown area. The only tiny grumble might be their hours are only a little short at 7am to 2:30ish pm. I'd love to pop in for an early breakfast, or be able to grab dinner from this place to take home after work.
