You can find Honky Tonk Brewing at 240 Cumberland Bend, Nashville, TN 37228. This is an industrial or commercial area of town - on the weekends it's fairly lightly occupied so plenty of parking out front.I love breweries like this - tucked away in some corner, almost hidden behind a nondescript entry (in this case a small sign under the address "240-B"). The interior is a mix of industrial wit concrete floors, gray walls and high ceilings with a long bar offering up 15 or so taps. There are wooden barstools and a smattering of high-top tables along with a cozy corner containing a couch and some high-backed chairs. The artwork I saw was mostly music related - which makes sense in reference to the name "Honky Tonk"On this day we arrived in the afternoon and they were doing a 2-4-1 special so we decided to try everything (why not, right?) - had the following:* Vanderbilt Orthopedic New IPA 3.7/5 - Easy drinking hazy IPA with a lemony citrus body, finishing a bit hoppy bitter and dry.* Honky Tonk IPA Hazefest 4/5 - Nice hazy NEIPA with juicy body, citrus notes finishing dry and hoppy.* Strawberry Milkshake Sour Double IPA 4/5 - Tart strawberry swimming in citrus with a touch of haze, finishing sweet, dry and hoppy.* Blueberry Lemonade 4.1/5 - Tasty fruity sour with tart body, big nose and sweet blueberry notes, balancing into a solid lingering finish.* Country Style NEIPA 4/5 - Very slight haze on this juicy NEIPA with citrus to the body, finishing dry and hoppy - fairly easy drinking.* West Coast IPA 4/5 - Quite a bit more citrus than you'd usually find in a Westy, but I think it's an improvement on the style. Hops bitterness throughout with some sweet malts, finishing bitter and a touch resinous.* Cherry Berliner Weisse 4/5 - Pretty tasty cherry conditioned Berliner, tart body finishing dry and sweet, if a bit flat.* King Bee Blonde 3.75/5 - Basic mouth washer, super effervescent, refreshing if a bit dry for this style.* Fear and Loathing on Lower Broadway Imperial Stout 4.1/5 - Fairly easy drinking pastry stout with flavors of chocolate, raspberry, coconut and vanilla in a creamy body, finishes full and not as sweet as I expected. All the beer was cold, came in full pints and slightly under-carbonated for me. The service was exceptional and very personable. I really liked this place in general.

Took a Uber here only to see a hand written sign saying it was closed for a private event. No notice on their website and the worker wasn't understanding at all. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend this place!!!

Cool brewery located in more of an industrial/warehouse/office area vs the usual downtown/Broadway/East Nashville. When I took a Lyft out here, I thought to myself "Cool. A part of NashVegas I don't see too much of!" The taproom is clean, fairly spacious, & the workers are friendly. What gives the 4-star rating is that I arrived approx. 20 minutes before closing time (Wednesday, 8pm). Enough time to have a beer before last call. I am not sure if there was a birthday/anniversary/going away party, but I found the crowd to be obnoxious & loud. And before 8pm! I am no prude & I know that a brewery isn't a library, but I was surprised at the overall drunkness of the crowd that early in the evening on a weekday. Will I go back? Yes. I enjoyed my beer & want to go whenever I have time to sample their other stuff. Maybe the crowd won't be quite so rowdy? Or maybe I should be less Sober when I get there?! Hmmm...

I just kept thinking, "I'm having a beer in Metro Center." Honky Tonk combined some of the things I love about living in Nashville: exploring neighborhoods, beer, and experiencing local flavor. 'Discovering' spots like HTB is what makes Yelp so useful. When's the last time *you* had a beer in Metro Center?Driving down Rosa Parks, I had little idea of where I was heading. I am very rarely in this part of town and was surprised to find out there there are more than industrial parks hiding amongst the hills. I allowed my GPS to do the thinking even when the industrial park security guard assured me that if I was looking for a brewery, I should head downtown. Keep following Cumberland Bend. Drive through the construction and into the park dead end. HTB will be on your left side. I parked (advantage of the location is a ridiculous amount of parking spots) and walked in. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the noise level. A group was playing foosball while another was eating brought-in food and screaming. Alright. A bit rowdier than I expected for a Wednesday, but let's see where this goes. Truth be told, I was just excited to see so many people here. I assumed that I'd find a quiet space with few people. Not the case. Good. I like seeing businesses in non-popular areas doing well.I met up with my friend and we bellied up to the bar. This time of year, I am in to blondes... maybe a red. HTB had me covered. We started with the Biscuit Honey Blonde and it did the trick. This was a perfect beer to help say good-bye to summer. This is the beer you have on a deck or around a grill waiting for someone to make a burger for you. The color and head gave legitimacy to the 'biscuit honey' name. This was a fun beer. At 5.5% it has a bit more heft that you might be expecting. Feeling good, we thought we'd check out The Wheel Of Misfortune. Yep, in addition to the foosball, high ceilings, stage area, and Coors Light water spigot (that's some good shade), HTB has a wheel to spin to keep the party going. You can only spin once and the honor system is in full effect to abide by the wins or losses. I don't do misfortune so I didn't spin. My friend did and she had to post a selfie with the HTB hashtag. She got off lucky. She could have had to twerk on stage. Seriously. That's a part of the wheel. #geniusIn the mood to keep talking, we got another beer. I was disappointed that the summer seasonal was an IPA so I asked a question: "What's the TN Jed?" One sample later, I had a pint of that bad boy at the ready. TN Jed is an unusual beer. For my tastes, it's a wheat combined with a red, making it unique... and appropriate for the time of year. I think this would be a better seasonal but I know I am in the minority wrt IPAs. Jed has a 6.2% going on so only have one if you're driving. I think the beer would be best enjoyed when paired with food. I plan on testing out this theory. By the time we left, the loud bunch from when I arrived was starting to settle down. I enjoyed the festive atmosphere and seasonal beers. Despite thinking that this was going to be my secret brewery, I was happy to discover that many others have long been enjoying HTB without my two cents. Metro Center, comin' at ya! HTB is going to see more of me.

I dig this place. Laid back, unpretentious place to come, chill, and sip some great brews. They brew a wide variety of beer styles but not all are always available. A PITA to find as Google will try to steer you around the block of buildings and the hours, as stated by others, are sometimes maddening. Hopefully the pic will help.

Last week, I was treated to a beer at Honky Tonk Brewing. The location is quite the hike if you don't work or live in Metro Center, but I also fully understand why they are there. Apartment buildings are going up and a TON of people work in Metro Center each day and they have nowhere to grab a post-work beer. It also seems like a great spacious place to brew some beer. If you fall into either of these categories, you definitely need to stop by Honky Tonk. The staff is incredibly friendly, the brewery is clean, the seating is comfy, and they have a Foosball table. What is not to like? If you're a Nashville beerhead I would also suggest a visit to Honky Tonk. They are only open to 8 so it's a post-work or mid-day hangout. I may make it back to their brewery, but I know I will try more of their beer! I particularly enjoyed their honey flavored brew. If you see their beers around town, give it a try and if you haven't visited the brewery yet, it's worth a swing by. Maybe it will be your new favorite brewery in town!

I have to say the bartender, Hannah was awesome! She was very personable. My husband and I shared a flight 2 and 2 stouts, all were great. We sampled the rest they had on tap.I was anticipating a larger production per say, but it wasn't. It's small and hidden in a industrial park.I definitely would and will come back.

I give 2 stars because beer is good but the brewery/Taproom itself would get one star. They obviously only cater to outside taprooms and stores. During the week they are open til latest 5. They randomly close for "special events" and you only know because you drive there and there is a sign on the door (we drove about 45 minutes to get there). No info on website and phone number only goes to an automated voice mail. If you have listed certain hours then post on your site if you are going to be closed for the day. Not that difficult. I've tried 3 times to go here and either they are closing at 5 or they aren't even open.
