I've been going here for nearly 8 years. Though I'm not the most consistent, their food has been consistent. This is also far better than L&Ls, including pricing. It's always served nice and hot!Ambiance is what I expect it to be for a food service place like this in front of a college, simple and to the point. Service has always been on point and have seen nothing on the contrary. Only complaint is that their tables are always sticky. Hasn't changed since my first visit but the food makes it worth it!

Great food, fast service and a plenty of tables to dine in. I called in my order and by the time I arrived the order was ready.

Recommend the cashier goes through a food handler refresher training. I left my three lemonades on the counter when I picked up my food order because I witnessed the cashier use her finger to slide a lemon slice from the container she used to mixed it in into my cup. Ready to eat food should NOT be touched with an ungloved hand.

The crew working the Monday lunch rush were holding it down! Homestyle is always a good go to and the service is always quick and friendly!

We frequent this place whenever we're craving Hawaiian plates. I prefer this place over L&L. We always get the Korean chicken, kalua pork, fried spam musubi, & 1lb spicy poke. Everything is always flavorful, especially love their lava sauce & I always try to ask for an extra one to pour over my rice.

Came here after having weeks of cravings. I've only ever been to the tierrasanta and it was amazing. Came to the Chula Vista location because it was closer even though they didn't have great reviews. I figured how different could it be from the other one. I got the combo with Korean chicken and Kalbi and an order of lumpia. The meat dry and seemed like it had been sitting in the back all day before it got served. The tables were super sticky and the place just looks a bit run down. I don't mind if it's a whole in the wall but the food should at least be good. I don't know if it's just this location but the food was not good. I'll have to go back to tierrasanta to see if they've just lost their touch of if it is just the Chula Vista location. I do not recommend this location.

Came here for the first time Wed 5.8.24 4:50pm. Disgusting filthy place and their 2 cooks match the filthiness(dirty looking). Along with that their dingy cashier couldnt even take the order right. Took her 15 min jus making a simple order. Wont be back. Pathetic, dirty and dumb altogether.

The location is poor(the only entrance is off a busy street and few parking spots). Usually at max capacity/ tables and seating are worn down so the environment is not pleasant. Good service but wait times for a plate of food was almost 10 minutes. Teriyaki beef is flavored well, very sweet and savory and the macaroni is a highlight. Plain white rice, nothing to say here. Portions are standard and at $13 I cannot say you're really getting value here but you're not getting ripped off either.tl;dr just an average Hawaiian spot

Bought katsu chicken, for some reason it had a funny taste, probably cooked in bad/old oil. Not coming back.
