First time here I stopped in after work hours and I'm glad I did! Workers were friendly! Drinks and apps especially the tacos were wonderful! Will definitely come back again

I used to be a HUGE fan of Hola, and I would frequently have lunch or dinner here on a weekly basis. I had certain menu favorites, but tried nearly everything they offered. Over the years, the quality went downhill, and ownership announced in late June '23 that they would be closing temporarily and reopen with a "new and improved" Hola. I was excited to check it out tonight Unfortunately, it was hard to find anything improved about the new Hola. The chips and salsa remain very good, and we had plenty of time to enjoy them as our food took a *long* time to come out, despite being just a few customers on a Monday night. Two of the three of us ordered Baja Fish tacos ($17) but they messed up the order and brought Shrimp Gober tacos instead, so we had to wait even longer for them to make the actual food we ordered. Some of the fish tacos were served with very unappealing, old browned avocado, while others had pathetic tiny slivers of fresher avocado. The De Asado tacos ($16) were sparsely filled with super dry meat, accompanied by dry, crispy rice. Not sure if these were just sitting drying out in the kitchen while they remade the fish tacos, or if this is typical. The "avocado sauce" listed on the menu was non-existent, and the main flavor came from using the leftover salsa from our chips to moisten the tacos.Nobody ever came to our table to refill waters or ask if we were enjoying our meal - I really miss the old staff, who were warm and inviting, and seemed genuinely eager to please. If this is the new "improved" Hola, I will mourn the demise of the old Southborough gem that Hola was, and cautiously seek out other Mexican restaurants in the area.

The only star this place gets is for the coconut margarita, which was delicious. The food was terrible. The chips taste stale, and the salsa was lacking in flavor and tasted like crushed tomatoes right out of a can. My husband said the Mexican burger was ok and I tried the cochinita pabil and not recommended. It was dry and parts were so hard it was like chewing leather. The rice is lacking in flavor as well and the refried black beans were different and that's about it.Service was slow. We had to get up twice to go to the bar to ask for basic stuff like can we order now and ketchup for the fries. Price for what you get... not good. For the price they are charging for drinks and food I expected a decent amount of food but was surprised it's not like so many other restaurants of this style and give you a plate full of food. If you want to over pay for bad food, go to Hola.

We had such a lovely, relaxing meal here tonight -- our waitress was so careful to get our order correct and checked with us diligently to make sure we were happy, everything came out perfectly, and I was pleasantly surprised that the salsa was heavy on the oregano and to see a San Miguel photo on the wall! Margaritas were thirst quenching but not too sweet which we appreciated, and I always love a place that serves cochinita pibil on a banana leaf. The tortilla cups were charming and perfectly crunchy. Thanks for a wonderful date night!

Ordered take-out. Staff was friendly and attentive, but this is literally the worst burrito I've ever had in my life. And for $20, cmon.

It's a very small restaurant. I don't typically write bad reviews but I have to say the food was not good and was undercooked :/

What a great little hidden gem. I just popped by for a late Sunday lunch and received excellent fresh tasty food and service. Chip and salsa as the right heat! Ordered the fajita salad, it was so fresh, flavorful and delicious. Ordered Churros for dessert and let's just say I'm ready to do this all over again!

This restaurant is not worth going to.We had early reservations and we were six people of which two were kids. There was only one more table of three there at the same time. We waited almost 45 minutes before our drinks came and then only two of the 4 drinks came. We did not get our waters until much later. The service was terrible. When our food came out after an hour two dishes were cold. They took them back and made them again and once again they were cold! The burger for the little one was so over cooked he could not chew it! The other kids meal came without the fries that were ordered. The fruit cup was three or 4 half slices of orange. No other fruit! They did comp us for the two meals of the 6 . The manager was not pleasant.I can understand if they were short staffed but there were only two tables at the time with people ordering! Our drinks two bottled beers and two drinks arrived after our meal. They did not have the beers that we wanted nor did they have the juice to make the drink. My gin and tonic was Tonic water and doubt there was any gin!It used to be such a great place before it was taken over by new people.Don't waste you time and money!

Over priced, skimpy margaritas. Old thick chips that weren't warmed because the warmer was broken. Not a clean place. You have many other restaurant choices --why overpay for poor quality very and limited ambience?Notice on Yelp--some of the older better reviews from over 5 years ago stay on the top. Not as positive reviews keep getting put to the bottom. Look at the date of the reviews, that will help you with your opinion.
